My wife and I just moved into an older (very quirky) house. The previous owners had monster AC Wall Units from 30 years ago, but since the house is a converted barn, no infrastructure was present for central air.

Well, in steps the friendly and knowledgeable Alfonso from Alpine Air, and after a single inspection, is not only able to design a Heat Pump system for us, but he found surprise attic space in the house that, with some creativity, allowed the entire top floor to be ducted!

The crew that came to install our system over about 7 days were absolute pros, but also incredibly friendly, and easy-going. They came to work HARD, but they did so while being pleasant, making sure I was informed of all the important steps, and treating our home like it was their own.

I can't believe I went this long in my life without a heat pump system, and I'm so happy it was Alpine that I reached out to to make that happen. Call these people!!!

Can’t say enough good things about Alpine Air. Called on a Sunday morning with no heat after being dragged around by another company. Bob got back in touch with me within 10 minutes, Alfonso the sales rep to my house the next morning. Within the next two weeks we had a game plan & had completed installation on mini splits and ducted heat/air, eliminating my old propane radiant. They helped every step along the way from constantly being in contact, helping with financing, and getting the job done so quickly and efficiently. I felt confident leaving the install team to do work while I was away, and came home to a spotless house. Thank you to everyone at Alpine for a seamless experience. I will be using them in the future for my salon as well 👍🏻

It has been a challenge finding a technician from Alpine willing to service my 4 electrical air exchange split units ;that they installed. After 8 years Anthony Germinario seems to be more than happy to do the job .

I was a bit late due to poor reception of text messages but Anthony persevered and did his exterior evaluation while he waited for me, so all was well. Very personable fellow and obviously knows his stuff. Alpine Air is tops in my book!

Anthony was on time, friendly, professional and knowledgable. He explained in detail what the issue was, how to fix it and options for going forward without overselling on anything additional. My air conditioner is working thanks to Anthony. I would definitely recommend their service.

While Alpine did ask me to write a review, they did NOT tell me what to say! So this is real! With our new HVAC system installation the crew spent an entire day on our premises. When they left we were all set up and working. A supervisor was on site for a best part of the day and providing whatever the crew required in order to keep the work going. He explained our new system to us right-on-down to the size filter to buy for the future. We are totally satisfied with the new equipment and the quality workmanship. And besides that, they were respectful of our property…. how many contractors bring a vacuum for a great total clean-up as they leave!

The gentleman that came to my house was Anthony Germinario the man was simply amazing came in. He fixed my generator outside came in look at the system. May suggestions talk to me like I knew everything. He just made. You feel very, very comfortable. I can’t think Anthony enough for the great job he did for me He’s a real credit to your business and your company

Highly recommended! I just had a heat pump / AC unit installed to replace my old furnace and A/C. I can't say enough good things about everyone at Alpine Air. Everything from the initial visit to final installation could not have gone any better. They were professional and responsive every step of the way. They were on time, courteous, and knowledgeable. The installation team was fantastic. They left the site cleaner than when they arrived! I highly recommend Alpine Air.

I could not imagine a better experience than that we had with Alpine Air. Highly recommended. Alfonso is meticulous, thoughtful and explained his recommendations thoroughly. He was also VERY patient through many rounds of questions! When we were ready to lock it in, he was quick to help us get everything in process, and when the team came out led by Liam and Daniel, they were extremely polite, efficient and extremely capable. And again, very patient and knowledgeable re: all our questions!

Our project, which replaced our AC system and supplemented our heating system with a three zone heat pump system, took about half a day less than estimated, and the entire process was smooth from start to finish. No doubt in my mind they'll be our top choice for any projects going forward. Do yourself a favor and reach out to Alpine Air.

Kind, friendly and professional! I like to ask questions so I can learn about what’s going on. Some people get defensive or annoyed. Good service techs do not and explain what’s happening. That’s the exact experience I had with Alpine Air! I highly recommend.

Top-notch service by Anthony today on our ac system. Not only is he highly knowledgeable and efficient, but his communication skills are off the charts. Our system is now working great and I’m a lot smarter than I was an hour ago! Many thanks to Anthony and the whole crew at Alpine.

The technician Bob was very helpful and knowledgeable, he gave us alot of good advice being we are new to the new furnace we have and thermostat which is around 4 years old we have from our previous installer .I was very happy with all he did for us and would recommend them

Here’s why I didn’t choose others:
- One quoted 22-26k, fixated on switching to heat pumps, viewed my home through Google Maps
- One wanted the homeowner available, which rescheduled my original appointment and then fixated on packaging an electrical upgrade. Depending on prior credit and an electrical package, range was 17-35k.
- One could only meet at an oddly specific time each day. On appointment day, spent five minutes glancing around without measuring anything and quoted 17-20k, the final quote was 20k
- One showed up with dead batteries in his laser, so I donated my batteries. Quoted me 15-22k until the email showed 17-20k, and the email didn’t arrive until the end of the week. I was also addressed by a different name in the post encounter survey.
- One had a website through a facebook page
- One had a website with a dead link
- One called me day of appointment to cancel because they revealed they don’t do ductwork, on top of already pushing my appointment the day before later than desired
- One wanted 93$ to show up
- One sent me a text 20 minutes before my scheduled appointment of my estimate fees but no one had shown up yet, so I called them and they said “it was a glitch”. They also wanted a follow up encounter to discuss the pricing plus they didn’t bring a ladder so I provided my own. On the follow up appointment which was about 10 minutes, they quoted 26-32k.

Of the ten companies I interacted with (and I planned to do more but filtered them already based on reviews and years of experience), Alpine was by far the clear winner, and here’s why I chose alpine:
- Responsive within two days of my online request - two other other companies let my online form sit and were surprised when I called them that they did have my form upon checking. If a company isn’t going through their online forms, it implies to me they are short staffed or unbothered to check, so can you really trust them when they work in your equipment?
- During the in person estimate visit, Alfonso was patient, friendly, professional, and very thorough in room inspection and explanations of the whole process of installing central air and ducts and answered all my questions. There were only two other companies as thorough as him. One company only did a phone call while another spent five minutes to gaze around my house. If a company glances or doesn’t even step foot in your house, can you imagine what they could do to your install?
- They (Alfonso sales, Daniel project manager, Sean/Shawn? electrician) asked us if we had a preference for where the vents would be in the follow up visit after the deposit was made (which was 30%, unlike other companies' 50%). I liked that they were considerate of this, but ultimately I went with their advice. Alfonso and Daniel continued to explain every process along the way which I greatly appreciated. The two days of, I had two great technicians (Javier and Wilson) who had six years of experience.
- Price was transparent and the best compared to any other company I contacted and they delivered the email with quotes the day of. Other companies hesitated or delayed up to a week to send their quotes - one even wanted a second visit and turned out to be the most expensive.
- Only company (without me prompting) to give me dates of when they could do the work. Even though it took me a week to compare quotes, they were able to do the original date I would’ve liked
- Constant communication all around - one company almost prepared itself for the rejection from me by saying “I won’t chase you, so just give home depot a call and we’ll arrange a physical appointment”. Not many checked up on our decision afterwards soon enough, unlike Alpine.

Time will tell if the equipment/and installation is good, but upon impression and their prior reviews, I see a quality in this company that no other can match in the initial stages for sure. Once again, if my detailed review isn’t enough, I conclude by saying Alpine could be a hidden gem in orange county hvac.
