This construction company is fantastic. We’ve used them for 2 projects so far, couldn’t be happier and will never use anyone else again! The entire staff from the owner, John, to the manager, Paul, and all the workers we encountered, were friendly, professional and very knowledgeable in every aspect of our project. All companies work on multiple jobs at the same time yet John and Paul checked in on ours daily-sometimes a few times a day-and made us feel like our project was the only one they had going on. I’ve never experienced that before. Companies in the past I worked with I usually had to call, remind, and chase down just to keep them coming to our house! Not with John J. And we could basically reach out to them at any time. We first used them for a full conversion of a sunroom, bathroom and laundry room. It came out absolutely beautiful. Our 2nd project was last spring when they transformed our simple backyard space into something stunning that now feels like a resort. Large, beautiful pool deck and masonry. This job was post-Covid and they took all the safety precautions so I felt completely comfortable. Several families who came over and saw their work firsthand were so impressed they hired them for their own home projects. This company went above and beyond with everything they did. I never write a review this long but I wanted others who are looking to start work on their home to know how highly I recommend John J Contracting. Can’t wait to use them again!

We have used John J's Services for several large projects over the course of many years and this is because they never disappoint. Always meticulous attention to detail, fair pricing and quality work, all completed on time. What more is there to say. They simply do great work and have recommended them to numerous friends and family members who have all have the same result.

I was in a very tough position trying to get my young daughter and I into our new home with a limited budget and trying to navigate a leaking roof that had to be fixed asap or I would lose my homeowners insurance. Other roofing quotes had me near tears and then John came and gave a very different price! I thought it was a mistake?!? But…John understood my situation and went above and beyond to make sure his team did right by us. John himself stopped over several times including right before he had to catch a flight. I couldn’t believe it! He has called to check in on us and it just goes to show he truly cares about his customers…everyone in his office does too so kudos to John for setting that tone for his company! While they just did our roof, they do every aspect of contracting. If you want peace of mind for high quality yet affordability, do not hesitate to call John J. Contracting.

John Jay Contracting created a beautiful master bathroom for us. Even during the crazy pandemic and all the delays on shipments John was professional and got the job done. We made many changes as the project progressed and he never said “no”. He is extremely creative and doesn’t stop until he is satisfied, with all my ideas he helped make them come to life, resulting in an amazing job! Highly recommend John Jay Contracting.

We were fortunate to secure John J Contracting for our home expansion. Our project included all new siding, windows, gutters, lighting, new bathrooms, bedrooms, wood flooring and new patio installation. The quality of the work was first class from their carpenters, plumbers, electricians, floor, tile and masonry work was all 2nd to none. They even hung our large wall TV and set it up wireless.
The project was well organized and we were provided a schedule of work at the onset. The Project Mgr was on site and on top of the work and the trades came in and out as scheduled so we were not slowed down waiting in between. There is really nothing they can't do. AND they were fair on pricing, a WIN WIN! Thanks John J will see you again next project!

Went under contract for a fire rehab of my home in Jan 22, requiring multi trade repairs and construction. Worked was permitted and completed in early May, even with the pandemic and material shortages. I liked the way the job was run, they assign a Forman who is in contact with you regularly and they have skilled craftsman to do the work. The staff were professional and everything went like clockwork. There were unforeseen conditions as with any job, and Paul (super) gave options and recommendations along with a fair price to address. The home office staff were also very attentive to your request and that was most appreciative. I would recommend John J Contracting to anyone, they are honest, fair and get the job done right. I am very pleased with the work and outcome of the house and looking forward to getting back in soon!

John and his entire team are absolutely AMAZING! Our home was knocked down and rebuilt into our dream home and it couldn’t have been an easier process. My husband and I would like to thank John J Contracting and his entire crew for a beautiful addition that they recently completed on our home. The exquisite job included raising an interior ceiling in our den and replacing it with shiplap which extended to a newly constructed outdoor portico. This included a spectacular fireplace with full chimney and outdoor kitchen and bluestone patio. The attention to detail and design was phenomenal. Both John J and Paul were a pleasure to deal with at all times. What makes them stand out from the rest is that their goal is to strive for COMPLETE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION from beginning to end.

John J Contracting did a beautiful job building a portico for my house. I’ve always wanted this addition and they built it exactly the way we wanted it. Our neighbors have told us that they did such a great job and say, “it looks like it’s always been there, not built after the house was built”. My kids said, “our house actually looks nice now”. The team from John J Contracting was professional, punctual, and adhered exactly to the project plan and schedule. They cleaned up so well that you never knew they were there. You hear stories about other contractors who do not live up to expectations and are always hindered by delays, we did not have that experience with John and his team. I highly recommend John J Contracting for your contracting needs.

I can't say enough about the job John J Contracting did on our house. We did a full home renovation that took about 4.5 months. Before choosing John J Contracting, we interviewed and met with many GCs. Right from the get go, Paul C proved himself to be extremely knowledgeable but also very consultative. He understood what our vision was and the budget we had to get that done. Paul was open, honest, and transparent throughout the process. Breaking down costs, permit process, on top of anything he/we didn't like about how a certain job was done, whatever was needed, Paul was there to fix it with a smile on his face. On top of the quality craftmanship provided by his crew, his Office Manager Liz was extremely friendly and helpful with all scheduling and any questions. The sub-contractors used were all professional and talented. I will never do any work on my house again without giving Paul a call first!

Selecting John J was the best choice I ever made. The job was an unexpected nightmare for a tiny bathroom and the entire team from the owner and project manager to plumbers, electricians, painters, etc. were professional and found every workaround possible to make the job the least intrusive as possible. They truly cared about keeping my home clean by placing mats on all areas traversed and insisted on vacuuming up every crumb of dust or debris after each day on the job even though I offered to help. The office staff was an absolute pleasure to work with and responsive even if it was after hours. John has a keen eye for detail, is humble and easy to work. His talent, experience and commitment to perfection is mirrored by his staff and contractors and shows in the end result.
