I had Vista take care of an issue I was having with an older house on a slab. The sewer line had cracked and there was no easy way to deal with it. As a first time home buyer, my wife and I needed a team that could guide us through a basement renovation, that required help with finding materials, flooring installation and replacing doors. Fernando is so kind, responsive, flexible, and goes out of his way to make his customers happy. I had a very old, crumbling bathroom that was getting moldy. I came to Fernando with some very specific drawings of how I wanted to remodel it, knocking down a wall that would bring a new window into the room, adding an arch over the shower, and building a new closet in the adjoining bedroom. The house is from 1900, so I wanted everything to match that antique style. They worked with my limited budget and stuck to the plan with integrity. Despite some long setbacks with tile supply, me having to travel for work, and other surprise issues during construction, they were able to roll with the punches and build the exact bathroom and closet I had dreamed up! I’m really grateful and hope to hire them again in the future.

Fernando and his team met or exceeded all of our expectations, especially with communications and follow through. He even made some recommendations for our design ideas. Through the entire process, Fernando was helpful, open, and fully transparent.

Hiring a GC is worth it, and when you get one as honest and talented as Fernando, it can actually save you time and money. Our Kitchen, bedrooms and family room are unique and beautiful, and the pocket doors for the library are solid and timelessly classic.

If you've a project in mind and are considering a GC, Fernando is your guy. He'll get the right people and will manage from start to finish.

We had a great experience with Vista. We had a basement that regularly flooded. The team installed a trench system and made the living space in the basement as good as new. They also had to replace our ground-level deck. It had to be ripped up for waterproofing from the exterior. It was a huge project that ended on time and on budget. Best of all the basement has stayed dry, even after a rainstorm that delivered 5 inches.

We had an excellent experience with Vista Construction. Fernando and his crew were very professional, timely and qualified. We are planning to hire them for more work and look forward to doing business with them in the future.

I’m so happy with my renovations (full kitchen gut and remodel 2018, master suite remodel 2019). The quality is excellent, the design still makes me happy every day. And Fernando and his team were SO easy to work with - professional, helpful, patient, clean. I really enjoyed working with them, and keep trying to think of another project for them to do in my house!

We used Fernando and his team previously for our bathroom remodeling. Based on our previous experience, we used Fernando and his team again for a flood mitigation project for our basement. Fernando’s problem solving was top-notch. He came up with a solution to fix the flooding we had been having in our basement for years. His solution helped solve our flooding problem and his team were very professional! I would highly recommend!

Fernando is an incredible general contractor. He is honest, responsible, kind and goes above and beyond to make sure the project is done to your satisfaction. I’m a picky person and have high standards for how I like the work to be. I am also meticulous and have an eye for perfection. Fernando and his team deliver on their promise. Even after the project was done, Fernando made himself available for any follow up questions and small items that came up that were even beyond the original project. He is just a good person who is always there for the family. I am impressed with his work. He doesn’t nickel and dime you.... very honest about the project fees upfront - leaves no surprises and keeps the word. Very impressive team!

Fernando and his crew did an incredible job and I owe it to homeowners in Westchester to write this review. Top quality, reasonable price, incredibly fast, and on top of all that nice and easy to work with.

For more detail I should write some background. When we moved to Croton in 2019, we had plans for updating and customizing our home. We tried really hard to find good contractors, having had bad experiences in the past. Unfortunately we kept having one bad experience after another. Bad quality, unfinished work, open permits, huge delays, big increases in cost from the estimates, and in general headaches for us to deal with.

Fernando came in and fixed all our problems. Other contractors took 3 months to grade, install a basic stone wall, and dig a hole for a rain garden. Then they quoted us $45k to finish the work. When we said that was too high they left us with a mess. Fernando took 6 days to do that same work for half the cost. Then on top of that he fixed a huge mistake the other crew made on the rain garden and installed a good system that makes us much more confident our home is protected from big storms. The whole time he was much more transparent about materials and cost and timing than anyone else we dealt with.

We're hoping that he's available for all our future projects and so happy that we finally found such a great contractor. Don't hesitate to choose Vista Construction, and you're welcome to visit our place anytime if you want to see how nice his walls look. One of them is even half his work and half the other crew for a perfect comparison.

Fernando and his team are the best! We had flooding from Hurricane Ida that destroyed our basement along with a major bathroom renovation. Fernando and his team were professional and efficient. They communicated well and kept the project rolling along. I highly recommend them for any major projects you have in mind. They are up to the task!
