Ivan rang the doorbell promptly at 9 a.m. He went straight to work identifying the problem & gave us tips on keeping our gas fireplace in good working order. He was very knowledgeable & very professional. We would recommend McNamara Services anytime.

Ivan and George from McNamara Services fixed my gas fireplace today and they were excellent. They arrived on time and were professional. They were thorough and explained the repair and any future maintenance service I may need. I would highly recommend them for any of your plumbing, gas, and HVAC needs.

Start to finish, my experience with McNamara was excellent! It's been challenging in recent years finding a reputable service company for my gas insert. Support over the phone in setting up the service and the technicians that came to the house were both outstanding. Everything was clearly explained and smoothly delivered.

McNamara installed our gas fireplace 15 years ago. We were able to easily schedule our annual fireplace service. It was great to receive communication confirming our appointment the day before and then this morning letting us know that the technician was on his way. Alan arrived as scheduled. He was pleasant and went right to work. He was communicative, thorough and very careful and neat in the workspace he used to do the fireplace service. McNamara is the only company we have used from install to servicing our unit.

Debbie and Linda were there to assist with any and all questions & documentation etc. necessary to get this project going from start to finish. Roy, who did the initial assessment of the project and Jon, the actual installer, we’re both very informative and obviously knowledgeable concerning the install... I utilized one of their recommendations for a contractor (Dayson’s Home Improvements) to take care of the framing and stone application. I highly recommend both McNamara and Dayson’s, as both were Professional, knowledgeable and attentive to all our needs and concerns, and ensuring our new Gas fireplace was installed to meet our expectations....

The short version: McNamara was GREAT in every way- knowledgeable, pleasant, and SO easy to work with.
Now comes the story: We had been searching for a gas insert fireplace for several seasons, not quite sure if we should get one ( to replace our seldom-used wood burning fireplace). Would it be worth the cost? Would we find a log set that looked authentic, and would the burn pattern feel realistic? Would the heat be significant, and would we find a timer and thermostat for the unit?
We had been to a few ("recommended") showrooms before we got to McNamara. Confusion and disinterest. Misinformation. and so on.
McNamara was the total opposite from the moment we entered, and we knew it was just a question of which unit was for us.
We could not be happier, spent the first month plus of Covid isolation warming our toes and souls at the fireplace. Just ask Debbie ( at McNamara) how many times I called her to thank her and tell her how much we were in love with our fireplace!
So if you're thinking about your fireplace, McNamara is the place to go!

For many years now we have been delighted with our purchase of our Valor fireplace-stove from McNamara and this includes the annual maintenance service we have received. The new technician (for us), Shawn, continues in the tradition over the years; skilled, pleasant , a man who works carefully and cares about doing his work professionally. All this is much appreciated and, in this spirit, we have included McNamara A/C services to our check-list.

Lou and Rob did a great job replacing my chimney chase cover especially considering it was 20 degrees outside. Great people in the office too!!

Thank you McNamara, for fitting us into the busy holiday season. Ivan, answered the call and I felt so lucky to meet him. He gave me a tutorial in how to make the perfect fire in our Yodel and he left me smarter than when he arrived. I’m so grateful to him. He also was so nice . I’m so glad I met him.

I have put it off a long time to have Fire Flew repaired and Cap replaced. Finally got it done. McNamara services get right to the point and does not waste time. Looking to have it done when COVID-19 shut down everyone. When shut down lifted, McNamara came right out and put together a plan both cleaning and replacing badly needed parts and Cap. All planning and ordering done by McNamara.

These days it is rare to find a reliable contractor. McNamara installed my new gas insert over the summer, and on this fall Sunday morning, it is the perfect addition to our home. The company is professional, very easy to work with, and does a great job. And, everyone you work with are really nice people too. In my experience, this is a company that deserves recognition for a job well done. Thanks for all the cozy mornings that lie ahead.

when deciding to replace an old wood fired stove I wanted to replace it with a gas fired stove and a huge advantage was to actually go to the showroom and see different models and to see how well they heat. From Marshall in the showroom to Roy who was the project manager and who came to our home several times to be sure everything would go well and to the installation crew who installed stove were fantastic. Even the sub contractors that did the gas line and masonry work were great. Also Debbie was a key factor in getting everything together. I highly recommend McNamara to install a stove for you.

I called just before the holiday and got a call back fairly quickly to schedule appt. I told my availability and told them Ivan was my technician who cleaned my system over a yr and he would know my home.. They got an opening in the schedule, and I was able to get a sooner appt. Happy to see Ivan and Esra who came on time and prepared and ready to do a bigger job if needed. They found 3 birds nest deep in our vent..this was a very dangerous situation for us if we were to use the fireplace. They kept working until it was totally clean and ready to use. With easy ways to pay we were done. These 2 technicians were professional, clean, and respectful. Thank you again Mc Namara for great service ...
