Done right the first time. Highly reputable and highly recommended by their customers.

Fast response time. Knowledgeable, friendly tech performed very thorough review of system, repaired issue, and made helpful recommendations toll avoid further problems. Geat service!

From the moment we met him, Scott really “listened” to us. He took the time to tour the house with us, while we explained the hot and cold areas. We were very fussy about noise levels and he worked on it until the Unico system was perfect.

Great experience! I called Sunrise Heating and Cooling for an emergency and they arrived within hours. My boiler stopped producing heat on a Peerless system that is known to be a difficult utility. They arrived and was able to diagnose the problem, turn the system back on and ordered a new part the same day. The following day they returned to replace the part and my family is very happy. Thank you Scott for your great service and knowledge!!! Will refer to anyone in need of heating and cooking services.

The Sunrise team designed and installed a completely new HVAC system for our older house, which previously had no central air or heat. They were responsive and persistent about troubleshooting and calibrating, and the system has ultimately worked very well for us.

Our AC was not working on one of the hottest days this summer! They had a technician at my property within 1 hour! He was so knowledgeable and figured out the problem quickly. While the technician was waiting to make sure all was in working order, he gave us suggestions on how to get the most efficiency out of our system. We are so confident in this company that we now have a yearly contract for both our heating and AC. I will recommend them to all of my clients in westchester from now on!

Highly recommend. Scott and the entire team are professional, responsive, clean, and overall great at what they do. I've used them extensively for big jobs, small jobs, and everything in between.

Two NAMES standout for me.
The first one is LIA PEZZOLA TOSCANO. Her voice is the first one you'll hear during your time of need. It's always nice to talk to someone who not only knows their respective business, but talks to me with kindness, understanding, and compassion. That means a lot to me. Also, I've never felt like she was trying to up-sell me on service for an extra buck (very important, because I was scared that we'd have to use all of our money and pay with blood).
The second name is TOMAS BRZOZOWSKI. First of all, he's regular people which is very cool, because his brain is amazing (and he could've easily talked down to me). Similar to LIA, he talks to me with kindness and he explains everything (even when I have the nerve to "act" like I know what he's talking about). He has always left me with a little more knowledge than I had before he stopped by our home. That's important because it's up to me, as a homeowner, learn any and all warning signs of something that's out of balance.
FINAL NOTE: It isn't listed below (in the services categories), but they also perform repair/maintenance work for tankless water heaters (ours is a Rinnai). -
It’s a big job to put in an entirely new HVAC system to n a 100 year old house. It took a little longer than expected, but for all the right reasons - system was crafted well, ductwork seamless and Gerardo and team were fantastic.

One of the things you don't want to worry about is your home's heaIting and cooling performance. This is why I am a loyal customer of Sunrise Heating and Cooling. I have owned my home for 48 years and up until 5 years ago did not have heat on the second level; and needless to say with a house that was built in 1847- there was no air conditioning. Because of the age of my home I had to choose a service wisely. I searched around for a company that could understand and keep the integrity of my home while providing me the comfort I now wanted. From the first call to the office, I was received with the professional and personal contact I needed. They got back to me immediately and sent out a person to meet with me and give me an estimate. Installation went smoothly - the installers were knowledgeable and efficient. I appreciated the "no mess" installation. But the best part is the fact that I don't have to worry about seasonal checkups. THEY REMIND ME when it is time for them to come. What a wonderful relationship to have with a company as busy as Sunrise.

Be careful, you may be charged more hours than they really spend on the service

Horrible experience. a/c unit had worked problem free for 20 years. Sunrise recommended replacing the unit and charged $10k. Once installed the unit created issues with the air handler flooded the drip pan, no cut off switch. Back many times and never resolved. Had to hire another contractor to get it right.

Be aware of OVERCHARGE ..... The technician came to my home to wire a humidifier and spent 2 hours on the phone. After he left the wiring was not done correctly so the unit kept running. When I called them, they sent him back to correct the issue. They charged me double the cost of the humidifier for something that should have taken an hour with a knowledgeable technician. No invoice was mailed even though they claimed That it was emailed. I will never use them again.

I called these guys to give a second opinion on my allegedly leaking boiler. They told me what the fee was FOR SERVICE and I agreed as I expected the tech to actually expend some effort diagnosing the issue. The tech came, looked at the unit, told me it was leaking and said he’d send an estimate. He was in and out in 5 minutes. FIVE MINUTES.
I followed up with a phone call a few days later to see if I was getting an estimate and they said that they would get back to me. 3 weeks later I get an invoice from them for $249 for the 5 minute visit and still no estimate.
I don’t know what kind of business these people are running but I advise everyone to stay away. There are plenty of HVAC companies in the area.
As you can see from their response they just don’t get it. I agreed to pay for SERVICE not a lookie-loo. The person I spoke to on the phone said estimates were a different price. $249 for nothing is outrageous. -
I recently had a pretty weird service call from Sunrise Heating and Cooling. The technician showed up in what was unmistakably a repurposed ice cream truck, complete with faded decals, which was kind of funny at first.
After he said he was done, my boiler started making this awful grinding noise every time it turned on and flashing a red error code. It never did that before he messed with it. When I called back to check on the noise, they kept telling me this noise is normal. But there is no way loud grinding noises are "normal". I tried to get Sunrise Heating and Cooling to take another look or explain it, but they're just ignoring me now. So here I am, stuck with a noisy boiler and have to hire ANOTHER company to come and fix this mess... -
In 2019, I hired Sunrise for a boiler installation touted as a "three-day job." It stretched into a frustrating three months. Daily calls pressured me for final payment despite unfinished work and a damaged chimney they refused to fix (Before and after pictures attached of the improperly installed boiler exhaust). Additionally, a separate HVAC company identified significant errors in Sunrise's work, requiring them to fix it.
Fast forward four years. My boiler is riddled with leaks: a faulty expansion tank, an improperly installed sensor, a leaking air release valve, and two leaks in the hot water tank. This resulted in my family unknowingly consuming potentially contaminated water that I was told "probably won't make you sick". The owner will say these are "mechanical failures" but I don't know of mechanical failures on soldered joints. The owner will say I did not maintain the system but I have had it maintained by a separate company because of my terrible initial experience.
Due to all of these issues I called Sunrise since they heavily emphasized warranties during the sale. They then quoted nearly $6,000 for repairs for the “labor” (on top of the $2,000 I already spent elsewhere due to my reluctance to use them again). Shockingly, they denied any shred of responsibility, citing everything from water quality to normal wear and tear.
The bottom line: Four years after installation, I shouldn't be facing $8,000 in repairs. My family shouldn't have been exposed to potentially unsafe water, nor should I have required additional companies to fix their shoddy work. Multiple parts that are rated for 10-15 years shouldn't be breaking down after 4. I don't like leaving reviews like this - I want to support local businesses. It's the reason I didn't leave a bad review after my initial installation in 2019. But, selling warranties and then getting figuring out ways to not honor them feels downright predatory.
And finally, just look at the reply to my review and several others here on Google. Ask yourself, is this the type of company that you want to work with? Go with your gut.
P.S to the owner responding to my post. Don’t sell and then start “three day jobs” when parts are on multi-month back order.
P.P.S: The “personal plans” preventing the completion of the job was our August vacation. The job was supposed to be done in May. I guess everyone should clear out a solid 6 month block if they want to work with Sunrise!
