We used Old World Quality Corp. for a full renovation of our home and we couldn’t be happier with the results or the experience. From the craftsmanship to project management to completing the home on time and on budget, OWQC was a perfect partner. Every person on their team was pleasant to deal with, good at their jobs and great with our kids. Even our dog is a huge fan. We will use them again.

Durability: Our home looks the same as it did when Vinny, Mike V and the crew finished the project in 2020. Paint job, floors, everything still looks brand new. No issues with plumbing, which is unique amongst our friends

Responsiveness: any time we need them, they are here fast. Unlike others, they are meticulous: shoes off, tarps covering the floors, areas of work carefully sectioned off, tool boxes lined up neatly.

Family: we've used them for several enhancements: more AV inside and outside the house, complete remodel of our dining room - we never considered anyone else.

Vinny pitches a life long relationship and so far he's 100% held up to that. We are Team OWQC!

original review from 2021: Vinny Muldoon is a legend and I STRONGLY recommend them for any project you may have. OWQC took over our new build in Long Island after problems with two previous contractors. Our lives immediately improved dramatically and we could not be happier with the final outcome. All of Vinny's subs are top notch. The craftsmanship is second to none. They take their shoes off when entering the house and they leave the job site impeccable. It is very rare and refreshing to find builders with true respect and pride for their work. Months after completion, whenever we need them, OWQC is super responsive and easy to deal with. Special shout out to our project manager Mike Vig - fantastic. Be careful out there when evaluating a project. If you go with Vinny / Mike / the team at OWQC, it's one less thing to worry about.

Old World has completely renovated our house inside and out, to include our kitchen, bathrooms, living room, dining room, bedrooms, basement, and dormers. FIVE STARS for Old World Quality Corp.—expert craftsmanship with superior customer service. We have been working with Vinny Muldoon for the past twelve years on a variety of projects—from a single powder room to the recent major renovation completed in 2020. We could not ask for a more knowledgeable, responsive and trustworthy contractor. We feel very fortunate to consistently have Raf as project manager. Raf is organized, detail oriented and he is always available. He has proven to us that can handle any surprises or snafus that come our way, giving us peace of mind. The crew are always on time, they are extremely hard working and meticulously clean.

The excellent customer service at Old World Quality is what sets them apart from everyone else. Over the years, we’ve had several emergencies: a backed up bathtub on Christmas Eve; an overflowing basement toilet with a house full of company . Each time Vinny Muldoon answered my S.O.S. with a reassuring, “I’m on it, Melissa!” Old World came to our rescue and someone was at our house within ten minutes, whether it was a holiday or after 10pm on a Sunday night.

My review would not feel complete if I did not mention the lovely ladies in the office. Dina, Lori and Jen--it is always such a pleasure working with them!

The first time we used Old World Quality was in 1997. We needed a new driveway, sidewalk, and patio. Vinny Muldoon sent reliable contractors to expertly perform the work. Since then we have stayed firm believers in Old World Quality. We recently had a leak in the shower and Vinny came by, assessed the problem and sent over a worker to correct situation. Just like he says, “No job too big, No job too small.”
You can fully appreciate Old World Quality, by looking at other contractors. We had a house out of town that needed a bedroom painted. 12’ x 12’ room with one wall of closets, and another wall of windows. We got the estimate from a contractor (not OWQ), we agreed on the price and set the start date for the job. Two days before the job started, I called to discuss the paint; flat on the ceiling, satin on the walls and semigloss on the trim. The contractor told me he did not include the ceiling or the trim in his estimate to paint the room! I got a quick education in the way some contractors get into the house and then jack up the bill with change orders and additional work.
Our experience with Old World Quality is completely different. We get an itemized estimate so there are no questions about what work will be performed. And the estimate reflects the entire job. We recently got an estimate from Old World Quality to replace a front door and trim. There was brick work included in the estimate. When we questioned why the brick work was there, we were told that when the old trim is removed and the new trim is installed, there will be some residual glue and paint on the bricks from the existing trim that cannot be cleaned off without scarring the brick. So they included the cost of replacing the brick on a line item if we wanted it done. We didn’t get just an estimate to replace a door. We got was an estimate to renovate the entrance to our home, the way we imagined it would be.
Over the years, we have seen at our house and at friends and neighbors houses the expert quality that Vinny holds Old World Quality to and it is consistently top notch.

In 2001, Tess and I used Old World Construction to remodel our home. It was a large investment for us, and we could not have picked a better partner than Vinny and his guys. Vin’s work is impeccable, and it was not limited to the construction aspects of the project. On his own time, he contributed greatly by partnering with our architect which further enhanced the renovation. Vin treated our house like it was his own. One weekend, I recall a storm caught us all by surprise as the renovation was in full construction mode. I drove like a maniac to get home to the house. Vin had left a family event and was already on my roof securing it when I pulled up.
In 2005, we saved up enough to do the second half of the house. Unlike the previous construction, there was no debate who to use. Like many, the investment in our house was a significant decision for us, as it is our largest asset. We trusted Vin and the guys…and time and time again, they came through. We’re still here, and not one issue. Best investment we ever made. OWC has been back many times and they’re the only guys we use. Contact Vinny for my number if you need a reference.

We have been using Old World for all our home projects, both big and small, for the last dozen years or so. We can’t say enough about how much they’ve done for us during this time, but I think the biggest compliment we could give is that we trust them implicitly. Whatever the task, we know it will be completed expertly and with great attention to detail. It’s clear that they take pride in their work, and rightfully so! Old World Quality Corp. has not only provided us with exceptional service but also their attention to detail and skill set cannot be matched. From our initial meeting with Vinny to being introduced to our project manager, Colin, every interaction with the team has been a wonderful experience.

We have been in our home for about a year and in addition to some of the larger projects we are completing, there have been a few minor issues which have come up strictly due to having an older home. Whenever they arise, no matter day or time, the appropriate team is at our door in a matter of minutes.

Every sub which has been used is extremely knowledgeable and professional. They take the time to explain to us what they are doing or why something occurred.

Colin's accessibility, hard-working nature and overall sincere care has made everything smoother. He is also genuinely caring and cognizant of our young children. We'd be remiss to not mention some of the lovely team members on Colin's team, specifically Chris & Osmond. They are very talented and diligent team members.

Over the past several years Vinny Muldoon and his specialized teams at Old World Quality Corp have managed various projects both small and extensive for my family. The result has always been spectacular.

The teams assigned projects at my home have arrived promptly as scheduled. Respect has always been shown for my property...footwear is removed at the front door and job preparation made utilizing drop cloths and furniture coverings as needed. The teams worked tirelessly and in harmony throughout the day.

Project Manager Raf is very personable and a true gentleman. He will converse, exchange ideas and provide expert advice until the cows come home! Each step of a project is thoroughly explained. Raf is very patient and his oversight is greatly appreciated.

We have been using Old World Quality since 2014. Our relationship with them began when Vinny and his team came to our rescue after an ice damming issue which caused serious leaking and tremendous damage to our kitchen ceiling, second floor wood floors, drywall, roof and siding. We did not even know Vinny Muldoon at the time. At the recommendation of a close friend, I called him. He had a crew of people at my front door within an hour. They were professional, respectful and got straight to work.
Vinny was there to help us throughout the entire process.
His team was always respectful of our personal space when they came to work and they made sure I was able to navigate my home during the day while they were there. I was so impressed by the cleanliness of their workspace and the way they removed their shoes without even being asked. That is not the norm these days. All the guys were so respectful and polite. The quality of their work was absolutely top notch.
In the years following, we hired OWQ to complete several major renovation and construction projects. Each time we had clear communication with our project manager, Pete Von, timely execution of the work schedule and transparent cost calculations. Had a lot of work done by OWQ and wasn’t able to vacate the house. They were very accommodating, and respectful of this, and worked around me. This is a well run, professional company. Never met a worker who wasn’t polite and professional. The attention to detail is outstanding! Every aspect of the project was explained in detail by both Vinny and the project manager before the project began. If we had to divert from the plan, as often happens with a renovation, the change was explained in detail— the reason a change had to be made, and any price changes were carefully explained. This is high quality, neat work , with lots of attention to detail. The painters, the people who install tile— all are meticulous workers. The project manager was very responsive to any questions or concerns that i had throughout the project..I’m enjoying my home so much more, after the wonderful work by OWQ. This is an honest company.Everyone is trustworthy and reliable, with lots of experience relevant to their job, which eases the stress of a big project. You will definitely get what you pay for.

We have worked with Old World Quality on many occasions, including everything from a full kitchen renovation through to emergency plumbing help, and everything in between. The company is family run and it feels like family when the team arrives. They are so thorough, so friendly, so trustworthy, so clean and always so reliable. I think what we appreciate the most is that it doesn't matter what they have been asked to help with, they put 100% effort into the job, with no shortcuts. The quality is incredible. Old World Quality has been a savior to my family for over 15 years. Whenever anything has gone wrong with our house (which is over 100 years old), Vinny and his team have been on the scene in literally minutes to help. We have used Old World for major renovations to simple (not so simple) gutter cleaning to roof replacement, house painting, plumbing and HVAC issues. We first used Old World Quality Corp over ten years ago for a big home improvement that included an extension, new HVAC system, bathroom and kitchen. When we met with Vinny he picked up on so many small problems on the plans that no other contractor noticed, as well as giving us great ideas that we still love today. Living through such a project with a family of 7 made the length of the construction as important as the budget!! Vinny met his 6 month estimate to the day and for the promised price. Old World Quality is an outstanding contractor! We used many other roofers and contractors to fix a consistent leak in our stucco dormer over the years, but it was never truly fixed until we called Old World.

Vinny Jr. was able to assess the problem and let us know what needed to be done in a clear, expert, and reassuring manner. They did an outstanding job and, for the first time, we knew we were in good hands. Once they fixed our major leak, we also used them for other jobs, such as plumbing repairs, backsplash repairs, front door installation, and bluestone repairs, to name a few. The whole staff, from the office to the job site, is extremely friendly and professional.

Old World Quality-

For years my husband and I met with contractors to share our ideas and desires for our home, never finding the perfect fit and, therefore, never completing and major jobs we needed done. In doing lots of “homework”: speaking with neighbors, looking at houses around town and visiting their website online, we knew that meeting with Vinny and Vinnie Jr. was going to be the way to go. However, we were a little hesitant in even hearing the ideas of the “best of the best” afraid we would fall in love with the ideas far out of our budget.
Once we met with the two gentleman, as we expected, all bets were off. Both Vinny and Vinnie represented everything that we felt important in working on what we hope is our forever home. The men were honest and gave advice on how they would do things the best and safest ways for our family. They never pressured us or tried to turn jobs into bigger projects than we have been ready for. In fact, they have given us options and prices on how to do things the big way or how to do it to a lesser scale.
The very first job we had completed was adding overhead lighting in our upstairs hallway and bedrooms. The very first day that the electrical team came, they prepped all of floors taking their shoes off until the floors were all covered and protected. Still, I came home from a busy afternoon of running my kids around town expecting that I would immediately vacuum and scrub the floors to ensure everything was clean before my children went through the house. To my great surprise, when I walked in not only had all the debris been vacuumed, the floors were being mopped and wiped. I was sold!
Since then, Old World Quality has completed two more projects in our home. They have completely renovated our attic, making a home office and guest room out of the space, as well as completely transforming the hallway in our center hall colonial home. Each experience with Old World and their teams have been as pleasant as the next. Every person who enters our home is kind, courteous and takes their shoes off at the door. Each job has been completed according to both the timeline and the budget set prior to the job beginning. If a budget has been adjusted, it has been due to a change my husband or I have asked for and has been submitted to us as a separate bill explaining the change in fee. Vinnie has checked in with me every day during ongoing projects and inspects each job with a hawk eye settling for nothing short of perfection before calling the project complete.
As a family-owned business, the Muldoons not only take pride in the work being done in their name but they also have chosen people to work with that represent their company and what they stand for. As important that it has been for me that my home is prepped and protected prior to a job to ensure cleanliness, it is of far greater importance that I feel comfortable with the people working in my home and around my children; with Old World, that has NEVER been a question. We have nothing but good things to say about our experience with Old World and look forward to completing the next project in our home with them and their team!

We've used OWQ for a number of house projects so far, including a new generator and roof, and have always been impressed with their workmanship and attention to detail. They are friendly and easy to work with, so much so that we have more projects lined up for this fall. After having worked with them, I have no need to look elsewhere. The grass isn't greener elsewhere..nor should it be, since they're from Ireland and know all about green, luscious grass. I digress, but working with Vinnie Jr. has been the best thing I've done for my house.

OWQC's extensive work on our recently purchased home in Garden City is among the best work we have every witnessed in all of these years. Their attention to detail is absolutely outstanding.
