I was looking for some time to find a arborist that would be able to trim our trees tha way they should be trimmed. I had a large Spruce tree fall onto the back part of my roof and house during a storm. It seemed like a logistical challenge to remove the tree from my house in the confined space of my the backyard where access was limited, and also do it without causing any further damage to the structure. After speaking with several services, I spoke with Gerard at Arbor Pro and really got the feeling he was the right person for the job. He showed up with the right equipment and his crew with included his son and another worker. While watching them work it was clear that they were experienced in this sort of operation. It was a difficult task but they removed the tree from the house with precision and without causing further damage. All the branches were chipped, larger sections were cut, and all loose tree debris was cleaned up on the property and surrounding areas and removed. The price was very fair, and Gerard is a true professional. I was extremely satisfied with the quality of work done by Arbor Pro!

I don't typically write reviews but was compelled to do so because the work done by Gerard and his team exceeded my expectations. They are so skilled and precise--real experts in their field. Plus they are meticulous, professional and really pleasant...and fairly priced …so use them!!!!

I must say, my experience with Gerard and Arbor-Pro Tree Service was top notch. Not only was the crew fast and efficient, they were friendly and personable. There was a tree down in my backyard and I needed help removing it. I got a hold of Arbor-Pro through a friend and I was very impressed with their work.

I have been using this company for over 20 years - it is a family owned business and I have formed a personal relationship with both father and son. They are an utterly dependable company and Gerard has a very quick response time, especially for emergency tree removal. Gerard is a very knowledgeable arborist with years of experience. This company is also capable of doing large installations of plant material. To sum it up, Gerard and his team at Arbor Pro Tree Service are dependable, responsible and always provide quality and professional service. Not to mention, they are very respectful of your property and do immaculate clean up once the job is done. Can't recommend them enough!

Arbor-Pro did a fantastic job removing a giant pine tree that had fallen in our back yard from high winds . They even had to lift the tree off of some cable wires. They are quick and well-organized and did a wonderful job cleaning up. I will use them again for all of my tree issues in the future.

Arbor Pro promptly responded to the trees I needed taken down in my yard and thoroughly answered all of the questions I had about some of the residual ones. They also helped plant a beautiful tree for my mom on Mother’s Day! It is so amazing to watch a family work together and be so passionate about the projects they take on. Gerard, Gerard Jr. and William-thank you for everything!

We finally decided to completely redo our disaster of a backyard in Queens. First the big pine tree came down. Then we needed the huge tree stump removed. I figured that anyone the Queens Botanical Garden has used for 20 years to keep their trees healthy was good enough for me. So I called Arbor-Pro. They came within days and made mincemeat of that stump, even working around the horrible parking situation in my neighborhood.

Then I discovered that they also do landscaping – just what I was looking for. In about 15 minutes Gerard and his son (it's a family business) described what they would do for my yard. Focusing on what I wanted and not what other landscapers didn’t think I should do, they designed the basic landscaping. Three evergreens go here to create a screen. Here’s where you can go and see some interesting ones and pick out what you like. A flowering tree goes here in the corner. Another one here. You need an evergreen there to cover your neighbor’s unsightly plastic screen. And you don’t want to see the cars and headlights coming down the block so we need to create a screen and we can do it like this. It was clear they knew what they were doing. They even gave great advice about the construction part of the project. Hey, Gerard, how do we make a meandering path? You start right here and go like this, drawing in the dirt with a stick. Hey, Gerard, I want a special little spot in the back of the garden where two people can sit in privacy. Everyone else had told me it was a dumb idea, but Gerard insisted that I should get what I wanted and showed the contractor how to do it. That’s what I love best about them – they are really committed to helping me get what I want. (And that special spot in the back is my favorite part of the garden.)

The construction part wasn’t done until mid-December at which point they moved into high gear. They searched Long Island until they found the right, healthy trees to plant before it was too cold to plant them. The job won’t be finished until spring when the remaining plants and flowers can be planted. I can’t wait. I know I will have a beautiful garden when they are done with it.

I can’t say enough about Arbor-Pro. They are reasonably priced, highly competent professionals who really care about what they do. They are a real find.

Update: It's 2 years later and just look at my garden! Hard to believe it's NYC.

Seems like they're out of business.

Never showed up for scheduled evaluation.

Answered and promised to call back but never did.

Out of business it seems. Calling is N/G as VM is full after no answer on several attempts an emails are not answered. Move on, they're gone.
