We have been using Friendly Heating and cooling ever since they installed our unit years ago.This was the first time we saw one of their service techs, John. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. answered all my questions and went above and beyond. He's a keeper.

Friendly Heating and Cooling provides excellent service. They helped me after hours with a frozen pipe issue. The technician was very kind and helpful. I have always had a great experience with Friendly Heating and Cooling.

Sure do like Doug my technician he’s smart and knows his job very well and I appreciate his work. Will ask for him the next time I need service.

Heat Pump went out overnight during 90+ degrees heatwave. Needed help short notice and quick. Staff was down a man, so owner actually came out, went right to work and fixed unit in about 30 minutes. Couldn’t have had a better experience and the A/C up and running is a huge relief.

I will not use any other company other than Friendly Heating @ cooling. They are quick in response, reliable and dependable! Blake will stay in your home until the problem is resolved. I highly recommend them with out hesitation!!!

I continue to receive top notch, professional and honest service from Friendly. Today (7/20/23), a very nice and very professional technician named Blake fixed my AC at my office. They came same day to help keep my office cool.

I highly recommend. Recently, I had a problem with my heat pump (or at least thought I did). I had another company quoting me several thousand dollars to repair my system. I wasn't comfortable with what I was being told and called Friendly. Turns out my system didn't actually have a problem and it has been running fine ever since with no repairs necessary. They are Friendly... and honest.

Friendly Heating and Cooling does such a great job maintaining our HVAC system. Our technician is extremely knowledgeable and we trust him to take the best care possible of our system. In addition to their trustworthiness, they are reasonably priced. We would recommend them to anyone!!

We have always had the best of service with Friendly H&C. John was at our house today. He was very polite, professional and very knowledgeable in what he’s here for!! We appreciate him and this company for always being there for us!

Friendly Heating and Cooling have been servicing my heat pump and downstairs Mitsubishi Mini-Split which they installed both about 4 years ago. They are great!! They always are on time, I’m able to get an appointment and they have always served me well. I am a happy customer.

Had to call for a technician last night around 8:45 pm. Blake called back as soon as I left my info. Came out and took care of problem promptly. Very thankful for the quick response time and how quickly he took care of the issue.

We love Friendly. We've been using them since we bought our house in 2019 and have never had an issue. They're always on time, responsive, and reasonably priced. They also lay out all options and don't try to get unnecessary repairs, maintenance, etc. I highly recommend Friendly!

Friendly heating and air installed my system over 10 years ago. They have stood by to take care any and all problems over the years. They stand by their work! Everyone has been professional. They are awesome and I highly recommend! I have them do twice yearly maintenance to make sure in good working order. Would strongly recommend!!

Friendly communicated clearly when their service technician, Blake, would arrive. Blake was efficient, cleaned up after his work and was friendly. The most important point - my house is now cool! I definitely recommend calling Friendly for any HVAC needs.

Background - I was born in Mount Airy, grewup in Carroll and Floyd Counties, and worked several years on the west coast, where I have a permanent residence.

For this reason, I am now redponsible maintaining my own retirement home in Virginia, and the ancestral home that my brother and I inherited together from out mother.

My elderly mother lived in the ancestral home until she passed, and after screening several HVAC companies in the area, selected Friendly's to reliably maintain her central heating and air conditioning system. From a long-distance, I could always trust Friendly's technicians to show up and kero my mother's climate control going, even in the middle of the night, and in the dead of winter.

For this reason, when the time came to build a retirement home in the area for myself, next door to my brother's home, the selection of Friendly's was an obvious choice. They routinely maintain my heat pump, making some fairly serious repairs after some of the recent severe storms. When I am fortunate enough to spend some time back home, they have always made sure that my family and I have reliable heat and air conditioning.

Our most recent service was with Claude, one of Friendly's most experienced technicians, with more than 28 years in the HVAC field. His experience showed as he tested and serviced our heat pump system this past week. He is an excellant professional who clearly goes the extra mile to make sure that we get the greatest value possible out of our heat pump. He was careful to use booties to protect carpet and flooring in the house during servicing.

I have felt comfortable leaving a key to my house with Friendly's for emergencies when I am unable to be there. Friendly's costs have always been economical and fair, frequently recommending the less expensive repair option, when several possibilities exist.

I am, and plan on continuing to be a loyal Friendly's customer. They have always proven themselves to be outstanding, with several excellent experienced technicians like Claude.

It was such a positive experience! Simply said, John was the BEST! He explained (in terms I could understand ) exactly what he was doing to service the HVAC system. He deserved 5 stars plus!!

Friendly Heating and Cooling is the only company you will need to take care of all your heating and cooling needs.

I have a system that is comprised of an excellent but older oil furnace with an add on heat pump. The heat pump was added on shortly before I bought the house.

The first winter in the house the system did not work properly. This went on for several years with different services trying to figure out the system. It was apparent from the start it had something to do with the connection between the heat pump and the furnace system’s interface.

Finally a friend recommended I give Friendly Heating and Cooling a call.
If my memory serves me correctly, Jimmy was the first service tech to come out. He was able to figure out the problem on the first visit and correctly merge the two systems. For years now Doug has maintain the system with expert care. From that day forward I have never called anyone else. I have been a very happy customer of Friendly’s for years now and do not plan to go anywhere else.

The company has the most pleasant and helpful staff in every department who work hard to make your experience with them the very best. I highly recommend their yearly
Maintenance Contract. It’s a great plan and a cost saver!

Hi! I called Friendly Heating and Air on a Sunday! I left a message. They called me back at 8:02 on Monday morning! The lady on the phone was very nice and attentive . The service guy was at my house at 11:00! So professional and friendly ! I like this so much that I’ve sign up for the maintenance services! Thank you for your quick response and help!

The technician was early and extremely courteous and professional. He explained everything he needed to do and then he went over the invoice and explained all the charges. I appreciated him taking the time to explain the issues and options.

Friendly HVAC made their first visit to perform maintenance on our unit. Their technician “Levi” was a pleasure to deal with, very knowledgeable about the unit and verified all aspects of the system to be sure it is operating in top performance.
He took the time to explain the paperwork and any issues that could possibly arise during scheduled maintenance dates.
I feel confident that when he left, the unit is operating at optimum performance.

All of our dealings with Friendly Heating and Cooling over the years have been very satisfactory. The staff are all knowledgeable, friendly, and a pleasure to work with. Doug has been taking care of our units for many years. We've relied upon his professional advice and support over and over and have never been disappointed. Top quality all the way!
