I had an outstanding experience with Gwyn Services when they installed my upstairs HVAC system. Terrell was incredibly efficient, taking the time to answer all my questions thoroughly and providing multiple quotes to suit my needs. His expertise and patience made the decision-making process a breeze. Elliott, one of the installers, was exceptionally professional and did a fantastic job with the installation. The entire team was prompt, courteous, and left the work area spotless. My new HVAC system is running perfectly, and I couldn’t be happier with the service. My light socket shorted out our electric appliances during the holiday and all my lights went out. I was concerned about electrical issues and fire so we called them to check it out.

Terrell gave us an estimate on getting a new AC unit for our upstairs last year. One of the reasons we chose Gwyn was Terrell's excellent service compared to others who came out to give us an estimate. He was able to conceive of and articulate different configurations to meet our needs. Terrell came by today to determine if we needed a new downstairs AC unit. Although I'm expecting we'll need to replace it soon given its age, Terrell was able to diagnose and repair the immediate problem, likely extending our use of it for another season. I appreciate Terrell's and Gwyn's honesty and integrity. They show a real commitment to doing what's best for their customers. Thanks again, Terrell!

Great experience from start to finish. Making appointment was fast and easy. I had a choice between same day or the next. Kevin was my electrician. He arrived on time, worked fast and solved all my problems. I found him very professional, diligent, friendly and willing to explain everything. I had 2 rooms with non-working outlets and 1 with no lights. I will definitely use this company again, as well as recommend them to others. Thanks, you guys are great.

Gwyn Services of Winston-Salem did an outstanding job on my recent Change Out from a 25yo R22 system, to a new 2.5 Ton R410A American Standard 14 Seer2 AC unit, with 80 AFUE furnace in the attic of my new house. Everyone did their job exceptionally well.

Terrell Robinson and apprentice came with an estimate and Gwyn Services stood by their estimate. I requested an outdoor unit sound supressor for the compressor (photo-orange top), made by Trane (very similar build), and they threw it in for free. Peyton Engle said that made a big difference in the sound and I believe him. For anyone with an outdoor unit near a window, I highly recommend. Peyton also lined up the copper tubing exactly with the outdoor gravel pedestal I built for the unit (photo), to get it up off the ground and the mulch. Joel Gonzalez did precision work in the attic on a hot day. I also understand Joel Gonzales also does great duct work and can duct anything. To finish, Corbin Miller came by at the time of Forsyth HVAC Inspection and did a "Start Up", where they calibrate your system. He changed the blower speed (Single Phase-12 possible speeds) from a "Tap 7" to a "Tap 4", which greatly reduced the air flow down to the appropriate speed of 400 CFMs per ton. Corbin also took the time to help me load the theromstat (American Standard 824) IPhone app, which lets me monitor and change the temperature and Heating/Cooling phase of my house remotely (photo).

I added 50A Neoprene rubber as a vibration damper between the cinder blocks and the sheet metal water overflow drip pan and between the cinder blocks and the furnace/AC blower unit. Gwyn insulated the condensation overflow pipe to prevent dripping in the attic. Duct work from new attic units to existing duct work was a perfect fit. On top of being good at what they do, they were all very personable answering all my questions and I have a lot of questions, I am a software engineer. I requested an extended transferrable warranty and for a little extra, I got it through Gwyn, whom I expect to continue doing business. I bought this unit based on the reputation of Gwyn Services and glad I did. I have high standards and rarely give a glowing review unless deserved.

January 1, 2025 all new residential AC installs will change to the new Propane based refrigerant, which will cost somewhere around 20% more and probably be less efficient and probably be running under increased pressure, making them less reliable.
You may consider getting your new R410a system now while you can...

I have used Gwen services for Plumbing, HVAC, and electrical since 1995. Their service personnel are professional and courteous. I just had an electrical technician come out and he was very professional and courteous. He even let a lonely widower bend his ear. I highly recommend their services. Also, their office staff are very professional and courteous.
