I received a quote for $20k and I was told my only option was to rip out everything from the street to the basement and dig. The tech claimed that my main line needed to be replaced because it was clogged. It was a complete lie. The main line was not clogged and had never clogged the entire 15 years I've owned this property. I appreciated the time they took to come out and evaluate only to realize that they created a false narrative that my situation was desperate and their solution was my only option. Whenever a contractor tries to get you to "commit today" it's a red flag that they don't want you to get additional estimates.

The next day another company came out and quoted a $3k solution and completed the work the next day. The main line was not the issue and did not need to be dug up and replaced.

I'm my experience the Affordable plumbing & Sewer tech was not completely honest with me about my options.

It's interesting that Affordable Plumbing & Sewer took the time to respond to my review by drawing false conclusions about the work done that they know nothing about. It's says more about you as a business owner then anything else. If Affordable Plumbing & Sewer is still in business next year I have a reminder to update this review on the status of the "patch job".

That absolute worst. They accepted a job from my warranty company. They were supposed to come out on a Saturday, so we canceled our plans and waited around all day and they never showed up. Then it was rescheduled for today, May 5th. I took a leave day to make sure this gets done. I called him at 7 am to validate if they were still coming out. He said he wasn't sure, but would call me back between 9-9:30 and let me know. He didn't call me back to i called twice asking him to let me know. He didn't return my calls.

I then called my warranty company and they called him and what do you know, he answers. He told them that he can't do the job until May 26th. That would be almost a month since they took the job. He then sends me a text saying that he can't do the job until May 28th. It's like the Abbott and Costello bit, Who's on First. I don't think he knows what day it is or really cares. Definitely doesn't seem to understand that there are people that work.

Save yourself the frustration and go with a company that can at least firm up a schedule.
