We had our Cummins generator installed in September of 2025. The Hughes Group did a great job and were very friendly and knowledgeable. Our generator is set to run a test every other Tuesday for about 15 minutes at 2 pm and it has done so faithfully every week since installation. The best test however was this past Friday- March 13th- when our power went out from 5 pm Friday until 10:30 pm on Saturday. Our generator worked like a charm. It was wonderful. We were the only ones on our street with power. It felt so good to not have to worry about our electric being out. We live in Geauga county so when we have no power we have no water. It is awful. Purchasing this generator was the best money we have ever spent. I debated the purchase for awhile before going forward with it but I’m so glad we did. If you are considering the purchase of a whole house generator please call P J Hughes company for an estimate. You will be glad you did.

Excellent outfit. I bought and had them install a 36KW generator. They did everything from pouring the concrete pad to the installation and hook up of the generator. The entire process was efficient, seemless and without a glitch.

I started looking at generators pre-covid. Finally "pulled the trigger". The Cummings 20Kw meet our needs with an excellent transfer switch. My phone tells me when the unit is under a test run. Lost utility power once since the installation in mid-December of 2022. Flawless. I am pleased with Pat, Susan and the crew that installed our Cummins home generator. What a piece of mind. Best insurance policy I have ever purchased, protecting our home from a winter storm and frozen pipes.

We had a full-house stand-by generator installed recently by P.J. Hughes.

It was a great experience. Their crew arrived on time and worked between 6 and 7 hours doing a lot of work inside out, in what I consider cold weather (about 10 to 12 degrees).
The crew worked hard and efficiently and was very knowledgeable and verify friendly.

Answered all my questions initially. Good communication throughout. On time the day of install and everything went like clockwork. Very satisfied and highly recommend.

From interview to completion the process was professional, thorough, and seamless. The owners were excellent in communication, and the installers, competent and experienced.
