Oakland Nursery is fantastic!!!!! While I don't claim to know the entire history of Oakland, what Gus Rinear(sp?) created many years ago is the only real nursery in Columbus. Lots of garden centers, but Oakland is a true Nursery with unbelievable selection and super quality plants. You get what you pay for. Do yourself a favor and take 3 hours to explore the Oakland Park store, it's Amazing!!!!!!!

I love this place. Knowledgeable people, huge selection, affordable, and they really do take good care of their plants. I've bought several from them and I've never been disappointed. I've had several trees planted by them and they always do top notch work.

I don't hate Lowe's. But they didn't have the personnel to help me. A customer referred me to Oakland for hummingbird flowers. I knew what I wanted, and Oakland had it. I picked up another perennial too, for the front porch. Can't wait to draw the hummingbirds to the backyard.

Spring is here and Oakland Park nursery always does a great job every season of providing activities on weekends for kids. I love that! The layout is phenomenal outside. You can walk around with the kids and they have moving water fountains and all of the flowers and trees are in bloom. It's like walking in a beautiful garden.

We went to Oakland Nursery for a little known Firecracker Plant. Hummingbirds love the flowers! But Oakland had a few! And many other plants I wanted too!

This place is a little more than just or average "Old Nursery" it is always up to something more. The house reindeer in the winter and the most beautiful flowers and vegetables in spring and summer. I have a few strong blueberries for this location that turn a lovely red color in fall. I just love it!

Come here always for potting soil and pots and random succulents! Staff is always friendly. A lady gave me a few hanging pots for my.string plants. GO!!!!

The staff and management are KIND AND FRIENDLY and its very diverse. definitely better experiences than at Straders in Dublin

5 acres of no-high-pressure walking enjoyment. Experience surprises like a wild bird display, carriage rides (in season), cook-outs whenever, permanent waterfall, fountains on display, covered areas from the weather.

Such a cute place with so many options for gifts. Plants look so healthy and staff is so helpful!

They are always so helpful and love their prices. No place I would rather go than here to make my garden trees and everything beautiful.

Loved everything about the place they have it all! From supplies to all sorts of plants and plant care products. Friendly helpful staff is awesome too. Definitely will inspire you to buy more cause it’s all so pretty!

this place is heaven for any plant/ garden lover. when i had my apartment and wanted house plants, this location always had what i needed and now that i own a home with a yard, i’ve come to depend on oakland! i could easily spend hours here at a time 🥰💐

Great X-Mas tree selection. Loved the instrumental X-Mas music played by talented young musicians. Nice touch!

Truly outstanding professional nursery. Vast, healthy selection of absolutely everything from trees and shrubs to garden and indoor plants of every kind. Living plant stock is well cared for and refreshed regularly. Lovely home store too. Incredible weekend holiday events…I just stopped by to find live music, free chili, horse drawn carriage rides and a full friendly staff ready to help. Wow. It’s getting tougher to find real nurseries anymore…what a treat this place is.

Excellent assortment of trees flowers and other plants. They also have water fountains and fertilizers. I really enjoy it going up to this place especially since they have some pretty good pricing especially on Japanese maples

Love coming here to pick out a Christmas tree! They have so many different sized trees and so many different ornaments to look at.

We cannot say enough about our amazing experience with Oakland Nursery! From the very beginning, Clinton was incredible in designing a landscape that perfectly matched our vision. He listened to what we wanted, guided us thoughtfully through decisions, and helped us create something that truly transformed our space.

Jamie and the entire crew who handled the prep, removal, and installation were exceptional. Their attention to detail, professionalism, and craftsmanship were clear in every step of the process — and it shows in the final result. Communication was seamless, and everyone went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the outcome.

We came home to a yard that looked better than we could’ve imagined. Every bed, every plant, every detail was placed with care. We’re thrilled with how beautiful everything looks and are so grateful for all of their work. We’re already looking forward to working with them again in the spring for annuals and seasonal cleanup!

Fantastic nursery - huge japanese maple selection, and herb selection too, their greenhouse isn't huge but very well maintained and interesting selection there too. Also big selection of pots etc too.
