Had a new furnace replaced abt 5 years ago and it’s still running in good shape. Now I’m looking to get central air but after reading these reviews I’m scared to use this company

I have been dealing with Costello for years now. Gene Costello is an old friend of my father's and I have continued using his company and they are very professional, nice, friendly, and fair.

Have used Costello’s services for many years. He and his staff answer within a timely manor and rectify the issue ASAP. Always professional and friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone with a heating or cooling problem.

They have always been there every time we've needed them to repair our old furnace. Professional and friendly and affordable. After 5 years of dedicated repairs on our old furnace (it was over 20 years old), we finally bought a new one from Costello and its working great!!! So grateful for their service and dependability.

Very nice guys on Mr. Costello's team. The other 2 companies I had out tried to up-sell me, but Mr. Costello kept it simple and didn't take advantage of my lack of knowledge. He showed me how to know what is actually going on with my AC system and taught me about routine maintenance. His crew has been out a few times since to clean the unit, and they're all really nice.

I will only have Costello Heating and Air Conditioning out to my home for A/C and furnace repairs! Gene and Matt are both very honest and reliable! The also did a great job replacing my hot water tank! Conservatively priced, quick, and honest! What more could you ask for?! Call them today!

The young Costello service techs ( I believe Anthony and Harold) were knowledgeable and replaced my faulty furnace motor quickly and without incident! I was impressed with their professional customer service; rare in today’s world. Office was professional as well. Thank you.

Before going with Costello, I got 3 quotes from other companies and Costello beat them by several thousand dollar. The installers were punctual and professional. Had both Heating and AC done in one day. Very happy with the service. I will be using Costello for my new Water heater.

The temperature was 7° and the wind chill of -10°. It was at 10pm. They asked the temperature in the house. I told them and I was ok because I had some space heaters. They said they would call in the morning. They were here by 915. Everything fixed and reasonable.

They put in ac. Now I’m going into the second year of no ac because of a pinhole leak somewhere and the system is only eight years old. Still under warranty but I was quoted over $800 to fix. I don’t think this is right. We had things done before retirement and now my husband has passed away and I don’t have the money to fix it.

I totally agree with previous review. Technicians are friendly. The "receipt" I received for work done was illegible, a carbon copy of very poor handwriting and poor quality paper. Indeed the owner called the very next morning to see if I wished to proceed with a brand new unit (heating/cooling). All I wanted was to have a part replaced, which was quoted at very high price. Was "high pressure/sales" from tech, was told it would improve value of my condo for resale purposes to replace system. Was not in market for new unit, just repair.

The owner came to give us an estimate to get a AC unit installed and i didn't hear anything back. After 2 weeks, i called they took down my info and nobody ever called us back yet again. very unprofessional.

Overpriced. This company charges 3x the price for parts and falsifies expenditures. Technicians were efficient and courteous, unfortunate they need to adhere to the owners policy of ripping customers off, even repeats. I will never use, nor recommend them again.

Had them come out to diagnose my AC. They replaced a part for $300+ (didn't provide a receipt). Less than 2 days later, the same problem still exsited. They came back out again and provided an estimate of another $472 dollars (didn't itemize the parts, labor) just provided one lump sum figure (convenient for a contractor). As far as I can tell the parts cost $200.

If you call a contractor to come out, you would hope they would fix the problem the first time, and provide a quote that has itemized costs. Proceed with caution.

Had them install a furnace and my own thermostat, a popular smart thermostat, in January. They finished with the furnace but couldn't figure out the thermostat, so they left me with the previous one and said they'd come back to figure out the install. Never came back despite numerous calls to schedule. It is now hot summertime and I find my A/C is not wired up to my thermostat correctly. Will be calling someone else to clean up Costello's mess and eat the $200+ installation fee I gave them for my thermostat
