Thank you very much for your contribution to help feed our athletes for our weekly team meal. Your support helped us feed 130 athletes and they loved the food. Everyone at the Anthony Wayne Fullbackers appreciates the help!!

Hawaiian Pools did a wonderful job installing our fiberglass pool. The construction manager and crew were very professional. The provided pool equipment is high quality. I would use their services again in the future.

My original pool was 53 years old, extremely bad shape, had been closed up for years, covered and a real eyesore. It took awhile for Hawaiian Pool personnel to figure out how to renovate this pool and get started. I'm surprised Mike and Brenda, owners, didn't just say "no". There were so many issues to be solved and undertaking this project was a real problem. Weeds grew out of the sides of the pool, parts of the sides fell in, ground water was seeping in, and other problems too numerous to list. Creatures, such as frogs and snakes loved the pool just the way it was! Personnel from Hawaiian, Dwayne and Dennis, and Kenyon worked the entire summer to get this project right. We had several communication issues and delays. Amazingly, we are still speaking! There still have some minor issues to be taken care of but Hawaiian Pools promised to fix those before the summer's end. But, with the age of this pool and the work that had to be done I'm sure the issues with the pool are minor. Jason McCloskey and his crew did an amazing job in laying down a new pool deck and patio. Travis Downey and his crew did the plumbing and electrical work. Toledo Fence put in a beautiful fence. I would recommend Travis, Jason and Toledo Fence to anyone. They went above and beyond. Kenyon put up with so much but in the end came up with a beautiful design. Dwayne, Dennis, and Jamie put it all together and did the work. I now have a beautiful back yard. Glenna is a wonderful addition to Hawaiian pools and held my hand and listened to my complaints. Even, Mike, the owner was involved and I think impressed when it was finally over. Thanks to all you guys.

Loved working with Brenda and her team to design a pool for the backyard. She had great ideas and helped us plan the perfect pool for us. The pool is great and we're so happy we chose Hawaiian Pool Builders! Excellent work!

Brenda created a great design and the team did a wonderful job. We love our pool and all members of their team were great! Very responsive on any issues and questions. Highly recommend!

Our experience with them has been Excellent!

Our initial meeting was with Brenda. She takes notes, and then creates a rendering of the pool. From there you can make changes to get it the way you want it. One really nice feature is that you can reposition the pool to make sure it’s where you want it in your yard.

After you get the pool design you want they quickly give you a price. You have different options and they do a great job explaining how different choices impact overall cost.

Once you finalize the details, they schedule installation. From there you work with Duane during the construction process.

After construction you work with Kenyon on the final details.

    Overall we couldn’t be happier!!

    Highly recommend!!

Thanks to Hawaiian Pools’ amazing team of experts, we were able to custom design our Shotcrete in-ground pool with our personal design consultant, Brenda. From the pool deck with multicolored lights to the deep end benches and mermaid glittering tile, Brenda’s suggestions made our pool delightfully fun! Duane, the construction site manager, kept us well- informed, and worked professionally with us during the installation process…and most importantly, kept everything safe on the construction site. Brenda’s suggestions for contractors worked out great! Downey, plumbing and electrical and Larry Ray, our concrete expert, provided quality workmanship at a reasonable price. Aaron, just one of Hawaiian Pools’ many skilled crew members, did a fantastic job completing the beautiful final details on our pool. If you’re looking to create a backyard oasis with a stunning built-in pool, Hawaiian Pools should be at the top of your list!

I'm torn between giving this company 3 stars or 4. We really struggled throughout the project for a number of reasons. Communication was terrible. Also, one of the crew members yelled at my son, who is only 5 for getting in his way. We didn't even know they had come to work on the pool, another example of poor communication, and they didn't like that my son was playing in and around the job site. It IS our home, and our yard and a safe environment and he had every right to be out there, assuming they weren't there working. Then there were a few quality issues but they were all resolved eventually. I feel like this company possibly deserves the extra star for their efforts to make it right. They were very apologetic for the behavior of the crew member who yelled at my son and made better efforts to communicate. And they really made it a point to let us know they'd do whatever it took to correct the quality of the work that was lacking. Examples include: chipped concrete corners, liner slipping in the corners, edges by the steps not smooth, deck jets not flush with the concrete, jet pressures so low they didnt even spray into the pool, what appeared to us to be stones under the liner, which were able to be hammered down into the ground. Just as we were starting to see a comeback, and issues were starting to be addressed, but not yet corrected, they made several attempts to get the $9,000 deposit we had withheld (with permission because we didn't want to pay so much for work that had not yet been completed), we had several emails, phone calls, and voice mails piling up in just a 24 hr span. My husband is very busy and I happened to be as well on that particular day. We were treated like we weren't going to pay, even though we paid for the entire project with cash thus far. In our last conversation with who I believe to be one of the owners, Brenda, we were discussing how we had a check waiting for them as soon as the work was completed. She demanded a list of what still needed to be corrected to be texted or emailed immediately. She then exclaimed out of nowhere "I don't understand why you are making this a hostile environment". I was dumbfounded and taken back. I wondered if perhaps I had come across differently than I meant but my husband was there for the whole conversation and was also taken back by her accusation. We were able to finalize the project the following day and we felt good enough about the work to pay the final balance. But both my husband and I really wish we could have had the same professionalism from everyone that we received from the two who completed the job and verbally apologized for the hiccups. In the end, we have a great pool and the kids are safe and happy. I just wish the communication had been better and more professional. But I can't say enough good about their efforts to make it right. They were very attentive after my original Google review part way through the project. We started May 1st and were swimming by June 3rd I believe, and final completion by June 12. I think I'll give them a 4. In the end, they got the job done right.

Absolutely garbage. It started out great until they got their last payment from us. Good luck getting any help from them. Pool shell developed a blemish. They never had time to come out and take a picture to get it fixed. I ended getting ahold of manufacturer and got it fixed myself. Concrete cracked at multiple areas and we were told. " Too bad that's what happens in nw Ohio" stay away!!!!

We've had Hawaiian Pools close our pool once and open it twice. Thus last opening they never turned the pool on, didn't put water into the pool, and obviously lied on their report since the pool is not running. Do not use this company until they start valuing the customer and making amends for poor service.

I had scheduled a pool opening in October of last year for May. Kept checking on that day to see if they were coming out since I took the day off from work to be there to help with locating anything they needed. They called me at 7pm to say they were not going to be out after all and it would be two days later when they could come out. I told them from 4-6pm on that day would be the worst time to come and that is when they showed up. Asked for a discount due to the inconvenience of taking day off from work and was sent a very nasty e-mail and banned. Owner told me this when I asked for a discount "My first thought, is you don’t live on the same planet as the rest of us, and you certainly don’t know anything about the pool business. Please don’t call, this company EVER. We will not service you under any condition. You’ve crossed the line. You obviously take pride in stepping over a dollar to pick up a penny." Not sure why asking for a discount warranted this.

    **DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY**

My husband and I had Hawaiian pools install a new residential pool in the fall of 2016. During the installation process, mistakes and poor workmanship was on constant display and a running theme by this company. They had completely forgotten to install the planned deck jets and when this was discovered, the concrete had already been poured. They were forced to be installed in our yard, which has posed major inconveniences ie. pool fence required to be taken down every single time in order just to use this function and the caps on the jets constantly being churned up and in lawnmower blades. When the pool was complete, we were never given instructions to sweep it with a hard wire brush daily, which has resulted in an uneven pool finish. We had our hot tub finished in river rock which required them to come out a number of different times due to poor craftsmanship, one of which was met with an obviously disgruntled and rude employee arguing that there was nothing wrong with his sloppy work, but then admitting to have never worked with river rock in the past, (we were even told how horrid the work was by a long standing owner of a large local concrete company). This was an employee that had been previously terminated from another pool company(we personally spoke to the owner of this pool company), for non dependability. The Pentair system they installed has ~35% success rate; it either doesn't connect or simply doesn't respond, either remotely or through the control panel on our hot tub. In regards to said control panel; it was never installed properly, even after multiple visits and many complaints it was missing brackets so it was always popping out and then it was installed upside down(never corrected). During another maintenance visit, an open and overturned industrial sized jug of hydrochloride acid was left spilled on our concrete pool deck. The acid left holes and pitting which is still visible after their shotty sub par patch work. We were assured that it would “blend in”, which it never has. We never received any apology, or even any recognition of responsibility. We just considered ourselves extremely lucky that our 2 dogs and 3 curious young children had not discovered this before us.

Along with the pool installation, we had a maintenance contract through the company to come out every week to perform the responsibilities of checking water levels, checking chemical balances as well as all equipment maintenance; all of these discussed personally with the company prior to service. This service was also used during the winter for our hot tub only, which was to remain open year round. One evening while attempting to use the hot tub, the water level was discovered to be ~12 inches lower than normal. We contacted Kenyan (an employee that honestly requires a completely separate complaint file), which stated "Oh yea, we noticed the water level was really low and forgot to tell you. You should fill it back up." This was during a time of below freezing temperatures. Our hoses were frozen shut and after hauling over 30, fifteen gallon buckets of water to no avail, attempts to refill were deemed completely fruitless. During the next maintenance check, it was discovered that due to the low water levels, we had endured thousands of dollars in damage to our pool equipment. We reached out to the owner, outlining our history of complaints and company malfeasance only to be told that we are responsible for total cost of repairs. For what was Spencert on our pool, the amount of unprofessionalism and complete lack of responsibility displayed by Hawaiian Pools is unacceptable and legal action has begun. This company does not deserve to be in business. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

We have had our pool for almost 3yrs now and have scheduled with Hawaiian Pools the past two years to open it every summer. For two years in a row, we have confirmed the date for the pool opening by us calling them. The date has come and gone once again.

I called this afternoon at 3pm to verify they were still coming out today and was told “yes, they are at the stop before you. You are next.“ Come 5 o’clock, we get a phone call they overbooked for the day and will not be able to make it. The same exact thing happened last year. Scheduled for a certain day and was told they overbooked, wouldn’t be able to make it.

I understand situations come up, but if you are a professional company, you would think you would have it scheduled in the day for the appropriate time to make all appointments-planning for possible problems or extended time. There was no phone call prior to 5pm when they closed that they were not going to make it. If you have the schedule prior and can see how many appointments you have, knowing you overbooked, be professional and let your customers know so they are not expecting you.
