I recently hired R.A. Kalfas to complete a major home remodel at my residence following a significant weather related event this past summer. Overall, I had an extremely positive experience with this company. Chris took the time to hold several meetings with us prior to the start of the project to review the scope of the contract and all available options. The workers utilized by R. A. Kalfas were knowledgeable in construction, friendly, clean and more importantly, demonstrated effective workmanship. Chris and/or the owner came by daily to monitor and supervise. With a project of this size, there’s always going to be a few hiccups here and there (for example, we found that I had a major bee problem developing near my chimney). The Kalfus team was quickly to recommend solutions so work could proceed. We had no issue with the city inspection and the city inspectors were actually complimentary as to Kalfas’ work and their solid reputation in the community. I would highly recommend this company for residential construction projects and will likely call them again in the future.

Kalfas does superior work. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable, and capable. I highly recommend them for any and all of construction needs.

Kalfas Construction did a great job refinishing our basement. Could not have asked for a nicer staff. The work was thorough, the clean up was great, the finished product is better than we imagined. I would highly recommend.

We cannot recommend R.A Kalfas enough! They recently completed a remodel of our kitchen and we are thrilled with the results! From the estimate and planning sessions with Chris, to the meetings with amazing recommended suppliers, to the polite, skilled, and respectful workers on this project - - Kalfas helped take our design vision years in the making, and made it a reality. We loved interacting via the BuilderTrend portal which allowed us to see the detailed scheduled of what was being done and when, track the budget, and easily interact with the team. They were always responsive and we now have a kitchen we're proud to show off to family and friends.

We recently hired Kalfas to transform our unfinished upstairs bonus loft into a fully finished room, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. From start to finish, the entire team — including the project manager, electrician, and carpenter — was incredibly professional, communicative, and detail-oriented. Two years ago Kalfas replaced my wood frames around all my 16 windows with man-made frames and the results have been excellent. The work was done on time,the crew was courteous and professional and they cleaned up every day. Everything still looks great and I'm very pleased with the quality of their work.

Overall we had a good experience. There were a few hiccups here and there but nothing major. I felt communication could have been better- but I understand companies take on multiple jobs and spread themselves thin- they have too. The lead on our project was always running over to fix whatever little things came up. I would say you need to be sure your plans and your expected costs are examined with a fine tooth comb. There were some errors- little things- but still it’s money right? I did feel like I could totally trust all the workers and they were all very pleasant. I was especially pleased with the painters and plumbers.
After all was done we are very happy with our 2 major bath remodels.

Good work. Clean up after was below average. Addressed and corrected some issues we found. Expensive but in line with competition. Absolutely abysmal communication despite multiple complaints.

Work low quality. Everything is terrible. If I could I would give no stars. Would not recommend to anyone.

I wouldn't trust these guys building my Legos, would honestly give zero stars if possible.

Professionalism stops after contract signed. They are all related and stick together in their lies. From the brother in law architect to the son in law VP, to the supervisor they work together together to talk in circles. They promise one thing and when it’s time to finish they say it’s not in print. All working together to rip you off. Our 2-3 month project is now going on 6 and nothing is finished yet. Today August 31st 2020 we were told maybe another week. Our project started inApril. I would highly recommend NOT using this company.
