Tim Smith is probably the most capable and knowledgeable plumber HVAC guy in town.

We have called on Free & Son for years. We have always been satisfied with their excellent service and knowledge.

They did a FANTASTIC job! Locally owned, great people, extremely fair pricing! If you need plumbing done in the Wauseon area, there’s no one else I’d call!

In and out within 30 minutes. No mess left. They were courteous, went right to work and let me know when they ever done. Great company, recommend highly

Jim was great I had another company come out before Jim and they just wanted to throw money at it and hopefully fix it. Jim came out was here a few mins and found the problem and told me what I have to do. Thank you Jim for being honest.

Called at 8:15. Tim arrived by 10:30. Had the problem fixed by 10:45. Always great service.

They put new plumbing in my house a couple years ago after dealing with galvanized clogged pipesand said I needed to cut a hole out so they could get somewhere to run a line so I would have cold water for my bathtub. I had another company come out a while after that and unclog some pipes through my vent pipe on the side of my house and miraculously I have cold water and my bathtub so it puzzles me what they wanted me to do and why.

Also, after they were done, I was having water come up under my floor in my kitchen when the cold line accidentally got turned on in my bathroom before it was fixed. They came out a couple times to fix it and had a hard time finding it until they capped it off. I do live in an old home and they said the plumbing was difficult, but I thought they were supposed to be the experts. I spoke with them making it right because they ruined my kitchen floor and the woman over the phone was sharp with me and basically told me tough stuff. The only reason I’m giving them a two and not a one is because Tim Was nice about it and did try coming back out to fix it, but I don’t feel I should be left with a wood floor that bubbles up now because of work they did.

They sent a youngster to look at our furnace which is an older model. The first thing out of his mouth is, oh you have an old furnace.
He spent 3 hrs at our house and still did not fix our furnace and charged us 99.00 for nothing. He said, he thinks he knows what it is and he will try to find the part online. Thanks for nothing.

The lady that answers phones needs a class on customer service. She argued with me for complaining about waiting 2 months for a water heater replacement. she said it had only been 1 month. No it was 2 months lady! I called every week trying to get the work done. I will never go to free and sons again and recommend no one go there ever.

They also installed a 40 gallon when i needed and was quoted for a 50 gallon. My wife immediately called and was also met with argument from the receptionist. She gave a bogus excuse for the reason why they couldn’t install a 50 gallon. Fire that lady and maybe you’re business won’t suffer.

Called about furnace replacement. Tim came out same day. Looked over said he'd get back with quote. 4 weeks later still haven't heard from no one there. When I called no one but Tim seems to know what's going on and they say he will return my call when he gets back in. 3 calls no Tim! No furnace!

I’ve had a blower fan kick on every time I turned the dial colder than the actual temperature for the past 2 months, a few days ago this stopped working and this fan stopped turning on. I called free and sons June 4th and left a voice mail. They never returned my call and I had to call multiple times since. They just came out now on June 8th just to tell me there’s nothing they can do and call me a liar, stating no fan ever kicked on. When I stated i wasn’t a liar and this is how I’ve cooled my house down since I moved in the man stormed out. When I called back up to the place I got no answer. I don’t recommend to use this business, it’s been a while since I’ve encountered anyone so unprofessional and rude.
