All reviews for J. Leahy Construction

We have used J. Leahy Construction for multiple projects over the past few years, and we have always been very satisfied with the results! Jake has tremendous attention to detail and is always thinking one step ahead. Not only is he great at executing the project at hand, but has great suggestions on how to improve other areas of your home and overall property. Most recently, Jake has created a new drainage system for our property as we added a new addition. He was able to get the project completed at a significantly less cost than other quotes. Highly recommend getting in touch with Jake for any of your Construction/remodeling needs!

He did such a great job of clearing our property, which was severely overgrown. Highly recommend!

Skilled work, great communication, reasonably priced, and efficient. Couldn’t have asked for a better outcome on our projects!

Jake was great to work with on my kitchen and bathroom projects. Beautiful results for both projects.

Jake and his team were always on time, worked hard, and paid great attention to detail. If you need high quality work you can trust this team.

Jake did our remodel on our house , 2509sq feet. He did it all, crew was on time, and on budget! Would never use anyone else, from building a custom house or a small job ! We appreciate everything he did !

Jake Leahy knows every stage of construction from excavation to finish carpentry. The team he has built is top notch when it comes to managing projects and communicating with homeowners and subcontractors alike. J. Leahy Construction brings professionalism and also a strong desire to meet their client’s vision.

Jake and team did the complete remodel of our kitchen. He coordinated with other contractors for electrical, cabinets, and countertops. His team did all the other work from demotion to final finishing. They handled the surprises and changes that came up along the way. I recommend working with Jake and team if you have a remodel project.

We had Jake do repair work on our home to repair some areas around the exterior doors and porch areas where water damage had created some dry rot. He did a thorough assessment of the damage and pointed out a few areas that we had not seen and proceeded to make the repairs. We appreciated his attention to detail and suggestions on how to improve the flashing around some areas to ensure that further damage would not occur. He finished the work in a timely manner at a fair price and we will definitely use him again for future work. Highly recommended.

Previously we had Jake replace our road culvert in our main driveway. He excavated the old collapsed steel culvert and installed the new culvert, surrounded with compacted gravel fill. We’ve since had the driveway repaved and after a few years there has been no settling or drain issues. Excellent work!

I have worked with Jake on several remodel projects. I am a custom cabinetry designer who has worked with several contractors over the years and Jake definitely stands out against the competition. He is punctual, responds to questions/requests almost immediately, highly knowledgeable of his trade and he truly wants what is best for his customer. I would recommend him and his team 100%.

Jake and his crew are awesome! He’s worked on several projects for us over the years, such as completely replacing our front porch and columns, as well as fencing and painting. I especially like the fact that he puts posts every 6 feet for fencing as opposed to every 8 feet. The fence has remained stable for years. Next year, we’re gonna need the house painted, guess who I’m gonna call?

Jake and his crew were top notch! They were a pleasure to work with and built a fence more beautiful then I expected! They were timely, clean, trustworthy and polite. I will definitely be using them for future projects to come!

I had Jake take care of several projects on our property in Oregon City. He was excellent! He dug septic test pits and most importantly cleared an area of blackberries and abandoned cars. He managed to save all the trees I wanted while hauling out the cars buried in 75 years of blackberries. Jake is highly skilled with all his equipment which is top-quality.

Jake did a fantastic job with my property. My family and I just moved to town and he was referred to help us refortify our fence (which was halfway broken down throughout 4 acres) as well as remove and burn some trees we needed taken down due to beetles. He did such a great job in a timely manner that I decided to hire him to install a new Hotwire fencing system and a complete deck replacement. He and his partners are professional and kept us informed along the way. I highly recommend him if you need work done on your home or property.

Jake did a major work for me completely removing my old and very large swimming pool. He did a fantastic job and I was totally impressed. He charged less than half the lowest quote I had from other companies. He was fast, showed up every day and the work quality was excellent. He did more work for me including replacing sagging deck posts and cutting the rain exposed beam ends. He is a very nice guy and very fair when it comes to pricing. I highly recommend him for your home projects.

I hired Jake to help with the remodel of a daylight basement that was not getting enough daylight. The main exposed wall faces north and originally had just an old sliding patio door and a 3x3 window. It was reengineered to accommodate 115 square feet of glass. In addition to the new installations he replaced eight other windows in the house. Jake proofed to be generous with his time, ideas and resources. He also helped with the expansion of a wet bar into a kitchen. His crew was both skilled and courteous. The project has been a great success and I look forward to having Jake oversee my deck replacement.

Jake and his crew helped us get my brother's home and 4-acre property ready for sale. He's very knowledgeable and competent in every area of property development. The fact that he's personable, responsive, a clear communicator, and an expert problem solver makes him a delight to work with. He met our needs in a timely manner and stayed within our budget. His crew and the many subs he uses are all skilled and efficient craftsmen. We highly recommend J. Leahy Construction for any job, large or small.

I’m so impressed with the landscaping work we had done from Jake at J. Leahy Construction! He cleared out 1.5 acres of blackberries and overgrown bushes quickly and thoroughly. The job was done faster than I expected, with great attention to detail. Jake is a very reliable, professional, who offers fair pricing. If you are considering hiring someone for a project, I would highly recommend him!

J. Leahy Construction helped us with our kitchen, living area, stairwell remodel last year. Jake & crew were all great to work with. We were very happy. Thank you Jake!
