A home inspection is another task on your to do list while in the throes of purchasing a home. It is actually the MOST important because you and your house's future depend on it. For a first time buyer, or in my case a
seventh time buyer in four different states, I say with confidence that Bob of Home Inspections Plus was my absolute best inspector. Why?

He was called last minute and managed to fit me in at 8am on a cold
Saturday morning. Several others that I called never called back.
Follow through is the gold standard for me, and Bob is platinum.
The detailed nature of an inspection can be tedious and lengthy. Bob handled the process with a mixture of professional seriousness and obvious delight in his activities as he reviewed each feature both in and outside of the home. While the big picture is important, it is those small details that gets you to it. He burrowed in so nothing was outside of his inspection realm. He just did more than most by always welcoming questions or providing additional explanation for systems and features some buyers are new to, and possibly overwhelmed. His range of knowledge and experience engenders the confidence and trust that is essential during an inspection.

His report, delivered within 24 hours, was thorough. I took notes for my own record and every detail was covered in greater detail. The items that were presented to the Seller were acknowledged and accepted as items
to be fixed or completed before close. That report though not in any way
damning, had sharp teeth because of his attention to detail and intimate knowledge of a range of homes. What more could you ask for? His fair fee, quick response to several questions I later asked, and a very generous and kind nature sealed the deal for me and my new home.

I needed a home inspection done ASAP and this company bent over backwards to help me out. I was impressed with the wealth of knowledge and expertise that the home inspector, Bob, had about each detail in the house and with how thorough the inspection was performed. I never would have guessed that the house I was about to purchase had so many alarming red flags because it looked pretty stunning according to the naked amateur eye. All of my questions were answered, and I was treated with the utmost respect. Thanks to Home Inspection Plus, I saved myself from a nightmare of a purchase. If I could give this company a million stars, I would because they truly care about their customers!

I couldn’t have been happier with this inspection company. Bob was knowledgeable, thorough, punctual, and generous with his time. As we walked through the property he took time to answer all my questions and even drew a few pictures to help me understand issues he found with the plumbing and electrical set up. On top of that he was a genuinely kind man and an enjoyable person to spend a couple hours with. I’d give 6 stars if I could!

We could not have been happier with the service provided. Bob is a great home inspector! He is very thorough and explains things very clearly so you understand the inspection. This is a list of the things I thought Bob did really well during my experience:
1. He coordinated key pick up from the selling realtor prior to the inspection.
2. He arrived early to our scheduled time of the home inspection.
3. He asked "are there any questions?" before you leave a room or change subjects so you can get clarification on things in all aspects during the inspection.
3.1. Follows a massive standardized checklist so nothing is missed.
3.2. Makes detailed notes and takes pictures throughout the inspection for his reference to make a final report.
3.3. He has a knack for on-the-spot teaching in order to clearly answer your questions with sketches and diagrams.
4. Clearly articulates what his concerns are and how they can impact the home in the short, mid, and long term.
5. Emails you the home inspection report the next morning. I received mine around 5 am! The typed home inspection report includes pictures with captions. He also includes corrective suggestions on the report to address items of concern.

Bob was an outstanding professional. My wife and I felt comfortable with him right away. I would call him again in the event I needed a home inspection and I would highly recommend him to friends and family.

If you are looking for an extremely thorough, kind and ethical home inspector, this is the company to call. I have recently moved from out of state, and I pretty much took a shot in the dark when I called Home Inspections Plus, but I am so glad I did! I've made six previous house purchases, with an inspection each time, and my experience with Bob was by far the best. Theresa was also great to work with over the phone for scheduling and questions.
