We used Surreal two years ago for our backyard and were so impressed, we had them come back this year for our front yard. Josh assisted us with the design which he and his crew then implemented. They showed up on time and when they said they would. Most importantly, they did a beautiful job! They also removed existing driveway timbers and replaced and then painted the new ones. Highly recommend!

Josh and his hardworking crew did a wonderful job upgrading my front lawn and flower beds after it was disturbed by a sewer line break . So talented, dedicated and respectful. He is a pleasure to work with and my curb appeal has been seriously upgraded.

Highly recommend Surreal! Josh and his team at Surreal have done spring and fall projects at our house for a few years. Joshs’ formal education is in the field so he is very knowledgable. He has helped us formulate a plan to slowly scale back over-planted beds, clean up unkempt overgrown areas, replant healthy plants in more suitable areas, and improve drainage. I wish I had pictures to post of the transformation, it is incredible. They are very reasonable for the knowledge they bring and the results you get. Josh takes his time and does the job right as if he were working on his own home. Cannot recommend more highly.

I have used Surreal Landscape for over 10 years and highly recommend Josh and his capable crew for all landscaping needs. They are meticulous, capable, knowledgeable, dependable, trustworthy and fairly priced. I have worked closely with Josh to plan and implement my landscape design and he listens carefully to my ideas,weighing in honestly and often improving them. I have used Surreal for small and large landscaping and garden needs, and have been extremely pleased and satisfied with their work every time.

We have used Surreal Landscaping for many services including mulching, planting new plants, yard maintenance, and just recently an area for our new playground. They did an amazing job! Very responsive, fast, and went over any beyond! Thanks guys!

Sloppy work, unfortunately, Had higher expectations based on previous work. Didn't weed beds properly, not enough mulch, horrible edging. Promises to fix things but didn't come back. Can not recommend.

Avoid this landscaper - Poor workmanship, property damage, and zero accountability

I hired this company for ongoing lawn maintenance after the previous homeowner had used them for several landscaping projects. Unfortunately, this decision has cost me thousands in property damage and ongoing repairs.

1. Immediate Issues: During routine mowing, the landscaper carelessly struck the side of my house, damaging the siding. The real problem wasn't the accident itself - we understand that accidents happen. The issue was that he didn't inform us about the damage. We only discovered it ourselves and had to confront him about it. Once confronted, he acknowledged causing the damage but then completely failed to follow through on repairs.

We spent countless hours coordinating schedules, waiting around for appointments that never happened, and following up on broken commitments. After weeks of this runaround with no progress, we were forced to hire a handyman to prevent further damage to our home. When we requested reimbursement for these minimal repair costs, he denied responsibility entirely - despite his earlier admission of fault.

The time we lost dealing with his lack of accountability and reliability was significant and created unnecessary stress for our entire household.

2. Ongoing Major Problems: The yard grading work he did for the previous homeowner has proven to be a disaster. There are serious drainage issues throughout our property. Most concerning is a river rock bed he installed near our basement window that now pools water every time it rains, causing extensive basement water damage that has worsened over several years. Multiple contractors who have assessed the situation have specifically commented on the substandard grading work and directly attributed our water damage issues to his poor workmanship.

3. Additional Issues: Beyond the property damage and poor service, this company provides ridiculously inflated quotes for basic work. They quoted over $3,000 to mulch my gardens and nearly $2,000 for fall leaf cleanup. To put this in perspective, I bought a leaf blower and completed the entire leaf cleanup myself in just a couple of hours. These excessive quotes suggest they either don't understand fair market pricing or are deliberately overcharging customers.

What This Has Cost Us:
• Time lost waiting for appointments and following up on broken commitments
• Immediate siding repairs we had to arrange and pay for ourselves
• Ongoing basement water damage and remediation
• Multiple contractor consultations to address drainage problems
• Potential foundation issues from prolonged water exposure
• Weeks of unnecessary stress and headaches for our family
