They never disappoint. I have worked with burkholder on several projects, including lawn renovations, landscaping, and hardscaping and they have always done a really nice job. I've used big name lawn companies and no name landscapers and was never happy with the results. Save the headache and get it done right with a company like this that will give good honest advice.

We were extremely pleased with Burkholder from estimate to project completion. They took the time to answer all of our questions and explain every detail of their proposal. The pricing was extremely fair. The crew that was onsite for the job was very hard working, conscientious, polite, and considerate. They were neat, organized and precise.

Burkholder has completed two big projects for us. Both beautifully done and the quality has been great. They are easy to work with and deliver a great product - highly recommend.

My family and I have worked with Burkolder for close to three years on projects including extensive landscape architecture, lighting, tree pruning, and spring/fall cleanup and mulching. I have found them to be incredibly professional, always on time and available to come out and handle issues. Most recently we had an uplight that was going in and out and within 24 hours notice Burkholder had sent their electrician out to replace the fixture. I would highly recommend them for any and all exterior lawn, landscaping or lighting projects.

I have dealt with Burkholder Brothers in many different situations - personally and professionally. I have never been disappointed. They provide high quality work with professionalism as if that is how they put food on their table. I have also referred them to friends and have only heard positive remarks from these people.

I would discount the negative reviews as there are outlier reviewers that just aren't reliable or accurate descriptions of the level of service you can expect from this values driven company.

Burkholder Brothers landscaped the side areas of our patio. They did an amazing job and we are extremely happy with the outcome. We get many compliments from people passing by. Can’t wait till Spring to see everything bloom. Highly recommend them.

Can not recommend Burkholder Brothers Landscaping strongly enough! Amazing experience from start to finish. We hired them for a pool deck hardscape, fire pit and landscaping with a very tight timeline. They completed it all on time no problem. Their crew was very friendly and considerate, always aware of a truck was blocking a car, and checking in if an early start with loud equipment was ok. Anything we were concerned about was often fixed before we put a call in! The outcome was beyond our expectations and gave life to a full and dated back yard.

We recently had our front porch and walkway rebuilt, as well as our front landscape redone, by Burkholder Brothers Landscaping. The communication, customer service and quality of workmanship was outstanding. It was a very collaborative effort, and the end results are great. I would highly recommend.

Right before I was ready to sign on the dotted line with another group, I met Barry Burkholder from the Burkholder Group. Initial impression was one of confidence, competence, genuine customer service, and desire to partner with his clients so they are 100% happy with the outcome. Wow! Imagine that! The Burkholder Brothers are a well-oiled machine with a comprehensive business plan from soup to nuts designing, executing, and caring for landscapes. We went through the blueprint process with Barry and his designer, Deb Wright with ease. Deb has a good read on people which allows her to not only anticipate but ensure that expectations are set which is very important. She listened to ideas that we brought forward, and helped to reconcile differences that I had with my husband about the project.
The job started in early March 2018. During this time, we experienced 4 Nor'easters, flooding, and what at times, felt like mud slides. The weather was NOT our friend. This was a complex job that involved re-building a swell in the back yard, underground piping, electrical installations, pool decking, a retainer wall, removing many trees, re-configuring and re-mapping, and the list goes on. Barry's crew were very hard working, professional, pleasant, and they cleaned up. They genuinely appeared to enjoy working for the Burkholder Brothers. One landscaper in particular, Jason, did an outstanding job. Every time I saw him, he was doing his craft, with conviction. He took so much care and pride in his work, he truly has a passion for nature and beauty. I am incredibly appreciative to him. At one point, when we were having what felt like flooding to me, I called Barry and he sent the Project Manager right over to investigate. Dan, the project manager, was there in no time, which put my mind at ease. Dan was very responsive to my emails throughout the project. Although Barry is one of the owners, I felt he was accessible at all times to me as well, and always reassured and delivered. He did not disappear after being awarded the contract as many business owners do. Another thing I really appreciated is that the contract was very clear, outlining the project and time points of payments which allowed me to do my financial planning. There were no hidden fees or issues that popped up outside of the contract. So I believe that most things were assessed properly, and accounted for on their end; and that is very important for the success of a project.
I bought my outside furniture from Burkholder Brothers and worked with Melody. Melody is very helpful, pleasant, polite, and demonstrated great customer service. She was patience with me when I changed my mind, at least twice, adding, and removing items from the order list. It was fun to work with Melody, and I felt she was genuinely excited for me which is hard to find in customer service. I recently had the furniture delivered and it is beautiful. Thank you Melody!
If you are looking for a comprehensive approach to landscape design large or small, I highly recommend Burkholder Brothers. You will be very happy with their professionalism, expectation management, customer service, work ethic, and design abilities. You may pay a little bit more but you will get what you expect, and be very happy with the outcome. You will not have to think too much once they start the project, as there is a great level of communication which is key. Your mind will be at ease. Their employees seem happy, and I think that says it a lot about the group. I have a restored faith in these type of industries now thanks to Barry and his team.

Burkholder is a great company. We have had several projects done in our house and our outdoor space since we moved two years ago.

Have been working with Burkholder Bros since Barry installed our pool 9 years ago and have never been disappointed. In addition to the pool, they have done large and small landscaping design projects for us. Everyone at the company that I have dealt with has been dependable, professional and demonstrated a true concern to make me happy. In a world where quality customer service barely exists anymore, I am happy to pay a little more to get excellent work done by a company that also provides an outstanding customer experience.

Practically every time we’re outside, we remark that we made the right choice about the landscaping, or the lights, or the plants, or… But you don’t get that kind of result from just luck or just any landscaper. The team at Burkholder had the experience to guide us to the right choices.

As for getting the job done, we can say that this is the best contractor team that we’ve ever worked with. Everyone takes pride in their work, and it shows. From the grading to the finishing touches, everything is top-quality. Other contractors even said that the stonework was the best they have seen (we agree).

Design: Stress-free and no regrets.
Grading: Moved heaven and earth (well, they moved earth and made heaven in our yard).
Plants: Beautiful.
Stonework: Wow.

Burkholder was definitely the right choice for our backyard…and they will be for the front yard as well.

We started our relationship with Burkholder Brothers / Sir Sprinkler in 2000 with a lawn irrigation system installation. After a major retaining wall reconstruction, they installed sod and replaced some damaged shrubs. We used them to replace the original deck. Since 2014, they have been performing annual spring cleanup / mulching service. This year's cleanup / mulching crew were the best, they were very conscientious and detailed in their work. Lately, we've been using the Plant Health Service. Our plants, trees, and shrubs have never looked so healthy. One never has to worry about the quality of the work performed.
