Hufnagel installed gutter heat cable. Estimate was fair and final price exact. Estimate was given within 24 hours of contact. They had demonstrated experience on their website. Crew showed up early on scheduled date and finished in half day. Cable was installed in Leaf Guard gutters/downspouts. Just went thru below zero cold snap and system worked perfectly, no ice build or cicles. Cable and separate electrical supply for each gutter. Very professional family business. Would definitely highly recommend Hufnagel.

Top shelf folks. They answer the phone when you call. Ask questions about your problem or project needs. Please sent us pictures of project, panel or whatever is in need of repair. They call back. This is the scope of work, schedule a day that works for you. Call the day before to confirm schedule.

Now and until the day I die, NOBODY will touch a centimeter of electrical wire in my house except Hufnagel Electric. Our builder recommended Dave and his crew after finding questionable wiring done by two previous electricians. Our house was a fire waiting to happen. These guys are the best in the biz. HIGHLY recommend Hufnagel Electric even if you need to wait a week or two. If I only knew of them before! You heard it right here. Don’t call anyone else!

Hufnagel Electric deserves 10 stars in my book. Jason and Steve were professional and personable from beginning to end. I had an underground electric cable laid and a new lamp post installed. The area looked better and neater when they were finished then before they started. I would definitely hire them again.

We've used Hufnagle on three separate occasions to do work around our house and each time they've done a great job. This latest project involved installing 10 recessed lights in our living room ceiling. They installed the lights, and added a new three way switch. We're very happy with the finished project.

The Hufnagles can do ANYTHING. They are top-notch professionals who are great at problems solving. Jason has a great eye for what will look good and how to arrange things aesthetically and functionally. They are clean and careful and leave everything neat as a pin. They use minimal openings in walls and do what seems impossible. I won't use another company.

Update July 2022: Every experience is a good one, and Hufnagel has now been to my property many times, for various electrical services. They are professional, courteous, and knowledgeable, and the experience is excellent. I will be calling them again for future electrical needs.

Hired Hufnagel install basement lighting, replace outdoor outlet, install a Nest Protect Doorbell (full install, with no existing wiring). Jason and Jay were professional, fast, courteous, cleaned up after. When I activated the Nest doorbell on my network after they left, it generated some buzz from the chime box (it could not be foreseen). I called the office and they came out again later that day to correct it. I will definitely hire again in the future on other projects

We contracted Hufnagel to do aluminum remediation, install GFCI in kitchen and garage, add ultra-thin LED ceiling lights in 4 rooms, replace two ceiling fixtures, add 6 Nest Protects, weatherproof two external outlets and some additional work. Jason, David and Mike were professional, courteous, and transparent throughout the process. They were responsive to our request to limit plaster damage and creative in doing so. I highly recommend Hufnagel Electric.

I've had the pleasure of working with Hufnagel Electric twice now. They have proven themselves to consistently be a very professional and capable company. Their company is a a small, family business that will actually return your phone call within 24 hours. Twice now they have rearranged their schedule to fit me in the very next day. When they come they completed the task in less than an hour and rather than racing to the next job they asked if I had anything else they wanted me to look at. I never felt pressured to have extra work done but they did inform me of other potential problems that could be avoided through a repair. Both Dave and Jason Hufnagel were friendly and easy to talk with and were willing to work on my older home. I was looking for someone to run wire and install a new fan in my living room, and a friend recommended Hufnagel. I now have a go-to electrician for any other jobs that come up. They were extremely responsive, professional, and reasonably priced. They made my tricky job look easy and did a great job cleaning up before they left. I have nothing but good things to say about these guys.

The team at Hufnagel Electric did a great job with the repair of the electrical circuit for my cooktop. Easy to work with and schedule, arrived on time, and cleaned up after they finished leaving their working space as they found it. They provided honest recommendations and worked hard to excel at customer service. I would choose them again.

My call regarding getting electrical work done was promptly returned. We set up a time for them to come out and give me an estimate. 2 small jobs (fixing an outlet and installing a light fixture) were done at that visit. The installation of a post lamp was a major project, as electric had to be run out into the yard, traversing a thick basement wall and being run beneath walkways. I was emailed an estimate for that work in a couple of days, and there were phone calls to me to insure that we both understood exactly what was to be done. I also wanted an additional outlet in the garage.

I was called the morning of the day they were to come to install the post lamp, and they arrived promptly. The project involved lots of trenching and was not an easy installation. My yard was left in good shape where they had to trench. The work was completed in a timely manner. They were very professional and friendly. The quality of the work was excellent, using quality materials. They cleaned up very well after themselves and had me check the work to make sure I was satisfied.

I was very satisfied and will use them again, and have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

Dave Hufnagel and his associate were knowledgeable, efficient, courteous and personable. I was able to schedule a service call much more easily than I have generally experienced and for an appointment soon after my call. The problem was diagnosed and promptly corrected.

Courteous and responsive when calling to inquire regarding services - Joyce is excellent. Received a call back from owner Dave, exactly when I was told to expect it - explained my needs (additional basement electrical outlets/breakers) - was provided a cost estimate on the phone and scheduled promptly. Dave & Team called ahead day of to ensure we were ready, and arrived exactly when they said they would. Fast, efficient, and very courteous. Installation exactly as I had hoped. Hufnagel Electric installed a 60 pound chandelier in our bedroom. They were so professional and competent. They made a very difficult installation appear easy. We would higly recommend this company to others. In fact we just scheduled them for another large project.

After calling and leaving a message at Hufnagel Electric, I received a call back a couple hours later to get details of what I needed done, and then received a second call a couple hours after the first call, confirming an appt for the next day between noon - 2p. That evening, they emailed me the contract. The next day, two electricians Chris and Noah showed up on time and replaced my GFCI outlet in the kitchen and fixed the broken lamp post in my yard. The whole process from beginning to end was easy, quick and professional. I will definitely use Hufnagel Electric for future electrical work and highly recommend them to those in the Pittsburgh area.

I contacted Hufnagel to install a subpanel in my basement. They are professional, courteous, and prompt business. They're one of the few businesses that have the personal touch with their customers, from Joyce answering the phone when you call, to Jason and Jay doing the installation.
