We have worked with a number of contractors over the years, Gormley Construction is one of the best.

We contracted with Ryan Gormley for a large (for us) stucco remediation and siding transformation / update.

During the sales cycle, and more importantly, during the delivery phase, Ryan was responsive, thoughtful, engaged, and was our partner on the project. He provided guidance, came up with creative solutions, was realistic about his costs and his timelines, over-communicated, answered all of our questions (sometimes more than once), and went above and beyond to ensure project success. He helped us choose color combinations, patterns and material finishes, and never expressed impatience as we agonized over minor details and worried about expenses.

Of course, on a project like this “it takes a village.” Ryan has assembled a team of qualified, approachable, customer-first workers. Every individual treated the project (and our home, and US!) with care and respect.

We are very pleased with the the quality of the work and the outcome and would happily work with Ryan and his team again and enthusiastically recommend them.

Our experience with Ryan and his crew has been overwhelmingly positive.
They have been at our home for 3.5 months removing the stucco, wrapping the windows, replacing the stucco with Hardi, Stone, Metal roof and Shutters. Our place looks spectacular!! Ryan has that old school work ethic, he shows up on time, checks and rechecks the work, explains in detail any questions you may have, if you are concerned or don't like something he takes care of it right away. We have had numerous contractors work in our home and I have never once written a positive review. We can't say enough good things about him....don't hesitate and don't look any further if you want a job well done!!!

Ryan took care of stucco remediation for us during our home purchase. The reason we went with him was that his proposal, though slightly higher than that of a competitor, was very detailed and diligent. Plus, he was very professional and responsive. We ended up having him also put a new side entryway in, and are very happy with the overall quality of the work.

There were some hiccups here or there when I wished he or his crew could have checked in with us (such as the style of the stucco), but overall a good experience. Of course, the true test of the work will only come with time, but from what we can tell now, Ryan is responsive when asked for adjustments.

We had a terrific experience with Gormley for our stucco removal and Hardie board installation. Everyone we worked with was professional, on time, and quick to accommodate when we made some last minute changes! Highly recommended!

We had a great experience with Ryan. We were about to purchase a home, but saw there were some issues. Ryan was recommended and came to have a look and give us an estimate on necessary repairs as we were still negotiating. After closing we hired Ryan and he got to work right away. As the work progressed it became obvious the job was more complicated than originally thought. Ryan and his team kept us informed thoroughly and timely. Their work was excellent. Sure it was more than the estimate, but we definitely had confidence that all the work was necessary, and that it was done the right way, correcting cut corners when the property was built, and repairing years of neglect. It was money well spent, every nickel, because we feel secure in our new home. Highly recommended.

We hired Ryan of Gormley Construction for stucco remediation work on our Philadelphia row home and install Hardie board siding. We are very satisfied with the work they did. His team worked very hard, they were professional, responsive, and got the job done on time. Cleanup was done every day so our yard didn’t look too messy. A hiccup occurred when the wrong trim color was used but it was immediately repainted. We highly recommend Gormley. The work crew was a pleasure to work with.

We had Gormely perform a large stucco remediation and patio addition project for us. In short, they were outstanding. Ryan and his entire crew were professional and courteous. The work was meticulous. When we ran into unexpected damage and had to add to the scope of work, the business terms were extremely fair. It is clear that Ryan and his team have great pride and passion for what they do and it shows in their work. The results exceeded our expectations. I recommend them highly!

Gormley Construction Inc replaced the stucco of my house with Hardie in March 2024. The original stucco had issues, allowing water to penetrate the house. From the first visit, Ryne has demonstrated his professional insight and answered all our questions clearly and candidly. Their team members are professional and friendly. The quality of their work is solid, and there have been no water leaks after several days of rain in April 2024. We are very satisfied with their work.

Ryan Gormley and his team are unquestionably the best construction crew we have ever worked with. They have just completed a full stucco remediation job on our ~16-year-old, 3-story detached home in the Manayunk section of Philly. The job required removing all the stucco on the house, replacing a large amount of water-damaged and rotted wood, pulling out and properly flashing all windows and doors, temporarily detaching two porch decks from the house, installing two new sliding doors leading to a porch and roof deck, replacing several rotted beams -- including a long structural-support beam in our living-room ceiling, substantial related interior trim work, finishing the exterior using Hardie-board siding with Azek trim, and replacing a water-damaged roof deck on the third-floor with new wood and covering it with many coats of fiberglass and installing a new custom-built metal railing. The estimate for the job was quite reasonable and less than the quotes we got from other contractors. The project took somewhat longer than we had originally expected, but that was only because the full extent of the rotted wood could not be determined until the entire exterior of the house was finally exposed -- including, for example, the defective roof deck and the rotted boards connecting the porches to the house. Ryan stopped by quite often during the two-month project to make sure his crew was doing the work up to his own high standards. Both he and the on-site crew manager, Alex, were fantastic at addressing all our questions and concerns, and making sure that they were not disrupting our lives too much during this major home-reconstruction project. Most importantly, we are very pleased with the final appearance of the house. We would not hesitate to hire Ryan and his crew again in the future and we recommend them highly for any type of construction project you may have.

I recently hired Gormley Stucco to repair the bump out of my South Philly rowhome. The crew removed damaged stucco; replaced the damaged OSB, wall studs and insulation; and installed new vinyl siding for me. Ryan the owner is extremely communicative, and the crew did great work. Everything turned out great. I'd absolutely recommend them if you need any stucco work done.

Right from the start Ryan was very helpful in steering us towards the corrective measures needed to resolve the water leak issue suspiciously caused by poor window installations. The end result was full stucco removal, replaced damaged structure, re-installation of all windows and doors, fool-proof flashing details and new stucco. The project duration was about 3 weeks. Ryan updated us almost daily; he and his crew were very accessible and responsive throughout the entire process. They maintained a professional vibe on the job site and worked long days and weekends to keep the job going to take advantage of good weather days. Best experience so far with a contractor. We highly recommend Gormley Construction for knowledge, skill sets, quality of work and responsiveness.

11/30/2021 Gormley Construction was hired for a massive exterior project. It included the removal of all stucco & replacement with stone & stucco. The removal & replacement of all sheathing & insulation, all windows, roof, doors, lighting, electrical needs, stone walkways, lamp post, mailbox post & a deck rebuild with the addition of a partial roof. Bottom line, they were incredible. Business wise the agreement was all inclusive, very fair & reasonable. The workmanship was excellent. The entire team was hardworking & professional taking pride in what they did. The end result exceeded our expectations. Ryan Gormley, owner was on-site, always accessible, patient, easy to work with & talented. If he was not at our job, his awesome foreman Melvin was. We were always in good hands. Highly recommend.

Gormley construction sets the bar for all other contractors. After calling their office to request an estimate and providing my info to the office assistant, I received a return call within 1 minute from the owner. Even more impressive, Ryan was at my home a couple of hours later that same morning. His knowledge was comprehensive and impressive. Ryan provided excellent advice to help ensure preliminary assessments were completed to determine the scope of work rather than jumping into sales contract mode. I greatly appreciate their honest approach and highly recommend.

Ryan and team (Keith was the project manager) did a phenomenal job on our house. They were both responsive and straightforward as well. It was an extensive job, but they followed through every step of the way. We highly recommend them.

We asked Ryan to assist us with the inspection of the stucco, windows, doors, chimney and decking on a home/outbuilding we had contracted to purchase. He was immediately responsive to our request, able to provide answers to the many questions we had, and was able to perform and report on this inspection within the very short timeframe our contract allowed. Ryan's timeliness, expertise, professionalism and communication were critical during this process since his findings were THE most important decision point for us in deciding against moving forward with this purchase. We are very grateful for the time and effort Ryan put into reviewing this home for us and highly recommend Gormley Construction to anyone who may be in need of similar services. Ryan was excellent to work with. Organized, efficient, the job entaled stucco removal, new back wall and siding. Costs came in right on the estimated bid.

Ryan and his team were excellent to work with for replacing an entire wall of stucco. Ryan was helpful at every step, and the team worked every day the weather permitted to get a major and urgent repair completed as quickly as possible, without cutting any corners. The quote we received is the final price we paid, there were no hidden fees or additional charges. Very impressively, the stucco texture is a perfect match for the rest of the home! We will be choosing Gormley Construction for any future stucco and construction needs.

Ryan and the team (especially Keith!) did a wonderful job on our exterior stucco and gutting/renovating our kitchen. It’s a challenge of an old home that sometimes a wall is lacking insulation, the floor isn’t level, there’s rot in the floorboards you hoped to keep… throughout it all, they were completely transparent and cost conscious while doing exceptional work. The crew was respectful, kind, and communicative. There was no question too small, and I was so grateful for their character and diligence, in addition to their great work. It’s hard to trust your house to other people, and Gormley did the absolute best job in terms of making our vision come to life and making the process easy!

The greatest strength of Gormley Construction was without a doubt their responsiveness and eagerness to please. Ryan showed up on time and was the first to present a proposal, which was a proper contract with his license number, work description and a payment schedule. His foreman and crew showed good manners and treated us like a wanted customer. They ‘always’ showed up on time and occasionally worked weekends when needed to keep on schedule. Weather was rarely a problem as they worked through it or around it. Ryan and his foreman were very knowledgeable, and they ran a tight ship. We were impressed with the quality of work and the materials used.
The next best thing about Gormley Construction, which could be tied for the first best thing, was that change orders were quick and ‘very fairly’ priced! Ryan was always curious about our thoughts, and contributed ideas about possible modifications to the plan even after the project had begun. In fact, we avoided a very big mistake when Ryan explained that we had time to go to his supplier to see the actual stone we picked before it was delivered, and we were able to pick a different stone. The other great thing about Gormley Construction is their emphasis on customer satisfaction, and we sure are!
My wife said to add that she is so in love with the house now. Hmm, I didn’t think that through. I was looking forward to moving South.
