Jim Murray’s crew were very personable and professional. They helped us to understand the scope of the work required, and their presence was barely noticed while performing the work. They left the site clean and tidy every day. They even took the time to clean our gutters while they were up on the roof!

I highly recommend, we scheduled for a cleaning but upon inspection it turns out we didn’t need one just yet. Additionally, the inspector was able to offer us some recommendations as to how to utilize and maintain our wood fire place. We truly appreciate their honesty and integrity and will use them come next spring.

Jim and his son put a brand new wood stove insert in our home last year, and did a wonderful job. The stove functions perfectly and really helps out in the winter.

I called “everyone” relevant to 3 separate chimney, fireplace, and masonry jobs, at least until I had a good range of businesses and prices.  It rarely happens this way, but Jim Murray's Chimney Service offered not only the most comprehensive work but also at the lowest cost!  For example, my other chimney relining job quotes were considerably higher than Jim Murray's Chimney Service, even for the same stainless-steel liner (brand, model, warranty)!  Jim Sr. and Jr. only included work that was needed, rather than adding tasks that would just pay them more.  Even a separate itemized charge in some quotes had already been included in their labor estimate (chimney crown wash repair).  They even lowered their quote when one task became unnecessary after work began, due to existing conditions.  They gave a perfect referral for services they do not provide.  Jim Jr. and Stefan were an excellent team across the indoor and outdoor repairs, finished each job in only a few hours, and yet I could see the care and precision they spent on some tasks when that was needed.  Jim also gave me photos of the repairs once completed, that were not visible for inspection, in order to compare with what had been damaged.  Definitely add them to your calls for chimney services.
