I installed a generac system two years ago. Broken parts from manufacturing defects needed to be replaced under warranty. Generac wouldn’t send me the parts even though I installed the system and requested a certified company needed to perform the warranty work. I contacted CSE and within two weeks they got approval from Generac, the parts, and did the repairs. I didn’t even have to do any warranty paperwork. Thank you!

We have had solar for a number of years but were looking for a local company to replace two dead microinverters. Dunnegan was responsive with a quote (which was very reasonable) and showed up on time for when we scheduled and got the work done. Will definitely use him again!

I've been using Connected Energy Solar for many years to supply lighting and it's always been an amazing experience. They shop out my needs to many suppliers, help me make the right decision, and do all of the tax credit coordinate. It's totally hands off. Just recently we used them for a solar installation. It couldn't have gone smoother, even in a situation where I know their costs may have increased, they didn't pass any additional charges on to me. Can't say enough good things here.

We had been interested in solar and had a company come door to door to try and sell a system. After sitting down with them and learning some about solar we were told we had to "sign up" to see if we were eligible and go through the process. After that meeting we felt it was kinda of scammy and canceled everything, I continued to look for another company that we felt would be a good fit for us. I searched and found a few but one of most interesting was Connected Energy. I reached out to Dunnegan through the site and he quickly got back to me. He ran some numbers and drew up a sketch. Still feeling a bit burned from our last solar encounter, we met with him to go over some of our issues and concerns about solar. He talked us through everything and really put our minds at ease with the whole process and how it would go. He never pressured us or truly acted like a "salesman" which we appreciated. After running through everything we decided to go with him and we have not regretted it one second. The process for us was very easy from start to finish and Dunnegan communicated and answered any questions or concerns we had. We had a couple of small issues after install as well that he addressed in a timely fashion for us. We are glad to have found such a good company to work with on this and would highly recommend to anyone looking for solar.

After dealing with a nightmare situation with a National company (SME Solar) Dunnagen showed up and put us at ease. He was contracted to install our system. I’m glad he was selected because he could not of been more professional, understanding and quick to answer any concerns I had. I just wish I was able to find his company when searching for solar quotes in the beginning. Do not hesitate to work with Connected Energy Solar.

I recently had a large solar installation done on my residence by a very reputable solar company that none-the-less resulted in several technical issues. Over the course of a year the company sent several contracted teams out, but they just couldn't quite seem to resolve the problems. Finally, I asked for a local solar professional to be sent to take a look at the installation itself. Dunnegan and his team arrived a few days later and through a totally professional and responsible approach to the problem they soon identified several issues (including some panels that simply weren't ever plugged in) and set about working with the solar company to resolve them. Within two weeks the entire system was up and running and working as it should. The lesson is simple; get the right people in and the job gets done. Dunnegan and his team were the right people for me, and I have no doubt they'll be the right people for you too! As far as I'm concerned 5 stars isn't enough of a rating for them.

Dunnagan and his team have showed professional and responsible workmanship for their installation of solar panels on my home. Even though I've encountered issues with the solar panel performance mechanically, this has shown to be nothing to do with the install. Dunnagan has countless times assisted me on phone calls and has come back out to check my system to see if there's anything he could do from his side. I'm extremely happy with his team and would highly recommend them for any residential or commercial solar panel installation.

I originally had a quote through a large company and I’m really glad I went with this smaller company. Dunnegan took the time to quote things the right way and in the end I was able to get a lot more energy production for the money. It was a seamless process with no drama or stress. I’m very glad I used Connected Energy and I would highly recommend them.

Dunnegan McKay and his team at connected energy are fantastic. His team is very professional. I have worked with many solar power technicians and Connected Energy is by far the best. They did everything they promised and worked timely. I got exactly what I asked for every time I worked with them. I give them my highest recommendation and will work with them again in the future.

Six months ago Dunnegan and the team at Connected Energy Solar installed rooftop solar panels on my home, and the entire experience was excellent! I interacted with about 10 different solar companies before settling on Connected Energy and from the very beginning I could tell that Connected Energy was different. No high pressure sales tactics or hugely inflated and unrealistic solar production estimates. Dunnegan was honest, and worked with me to understand what was possible with my complex roof layout, and designed a system that would fit my goals and budget. Seriously, don’t even bother calling any of the national solar companies unless you want “Used Car” style high pressure sales tactics and misinformation. With Connected Energy, Dunnegan (the owner) worked with me directly from the first sales estimate all the way through final activation. It was truly a fantastic experience!

The team at Connected Energy went above and beyond to ensure the installation was perfect. They communicated with me frequently throughout the process, and showed up exactly when scheduled. Anytime you have major work done on your home, I think you have to anticipate a few unexpected hiccups along the way. Dunnegan was quick to come up with solutions, make sure everything was resolved beyond my satisfaction, and ensure the final solar install both looked and worked great!

I think many people have an assumption that Western Pennsylvania is too cloudy for solar, but six months in and the system has exceeded my expectations. With tax incentives and the price of solar panels dropping significantly in recent years, solar does absolutely make sense in Western PA, and for me it’s already on track to have a great return on investment.

Overall, I cannot recommend Connected Energy Solar highly enough. If you are considering a solar install seriously start and end your search with Connected Energy.

For me, a locally owned business was import. Dunnegan is the owner of Connected Energy Group and was the only person I interacted with throughout the whole process. Prior to starting my solar project, I did some research on my own to understand the basics of solar systems and then obtained multiple quotes. From the beginning, Dunnegan’s quote was the only reasonable representation of what could actually be installed on my roof, with a realistic output estimates. He took the time to understand what I was after in a solar system. Other companies provided quotes from half way around the world, with completely unrealistic proposals.

Once I decided to continue with Connected Energy, Dunnegan came to the house to take measurements and put his eyes on my actual roof. His original quote did not need any changes b/c he took the time to get it right up front. He walked me through how the entire process would work and made no attempt to get me to sign or commit to anything on the spot. He actually suggested I think it over and reach back out to him with any questions before we proceeded. My project had a little difficulty getting through the engineering permits for a roof installation, but Dunnegan took care of everything. We had to adjust our original plan (i.e. panel layout and panel type) but he made sure any changes still aligned with my solar objectives. Through this, I ended up with more production but no additional cost.

Most importantly and why I wanted a local business, even months after installation and payment was made, Dunnegan still quickly responds any questions I have. The hardest part of entire solar project was finding Connected Energy Group, but once I found them the entire process was effortless.
