We give Comfort Home Heating and Cooling a 10 star rating! Excellent response time and communication. Friendly, professional, above and beyond service. Extremely knowledgeable even though our furnace is a vintage antique. Detailed explanation of what he was doing and what each trouble shooting step would cost. Pricing much lower than our first estimate from a large chain who only wanted to discuss a new $12,000 system. Sam came back to our house 4 times to do everything he could to help us because he cared. Unfortunately that’s VERY hard to come by these days. We had an urgent repair needed for a recently installed system. the system was complex -being in a 250 year old home...not only is the system working beautifully...when we needed a small repair - Sam showed up and took care of it immediately. Highly recommended! Coldest day of the year hit and oil tank sprung a small leak and ran dry... so we had to accelerate our plans to replace oil burning boiler with gas while heating the house with a wood stove and space heaters! Our 6 calls to local HVAC yielded 4 quotes within 3 days but only Sam responded within the first couple of hours and only Sam showed up in person the very next morning first thing to assess our situation. And, only Sam was able to move a job and start within 4 days even working through a Saturday to get us heat fast. The others had start dates 2-3 weeks out. Bonus? He wore dedicated booties into our home to avoid tracking in snow and mud. A winning move for us! He was not the cheapest quote by any means, but he provided excellent value in terms of service, speed and the high quality of his Weil-McLain products. We were pleasantly surprised to see he painted the plywood backing black before it went in. Makes the basement looks nicer and he noted makes the boiler setup "shine like a gem"! We are pleased to have found his company and have already recommended him to some neighbors.

Sam and his crew from Comfort Home Heating and Cooling were excellent. We had them replace both the furnace and the AC unit along with some duct work improvement. From the initial visit to installation, they were incredibly professional. They were always responsive, worked very efficiently and when they were done, they cleaned everything, the house was impeccably clean. These guys are GOAT! We would recommend them highly.

I highly recommend Sam and his company for any service that can be done to your central AC. Sam was able to diagnose and repair both my boiler and central AC. Sam and his crew installed a complex mini-split heat pump system in my 1940s vintage house. The install is very clean and looks good. I'm pleased with the work. Sam's price was also 20% less than the next-closest bid.

Don’t hesitate to call Sam! He saved us thousands!!

“Quick” Back story. We had our central AC stop working and first HVAC crew discovered a mouse nested in the outside unit near the capacitor over the winter. They claimed the mouse fried several components and needed “complete air movement system”, “install voltage delivery device” and “perform heat rejection device cleaning” totaling thousands of dollars to repair a 14 year old AC (no problems in past 8 years running). Because of the high cost for repair we started to consider replacement.

Fortunately we went with second opinion and we came across “Comfort Home Heating and Cooling” in Swarthmore.
Sam was quick to schedule, prompt with his time, professional, and transparent with every step of the way.

He ran diagnostics and was able to get the AC running in minutes by replacing the capacitor. No damage to wires and components running 100%. He also topped off the refrigerant. He thoroughly reviewed performance and we agreed that the AC had more life to run for only a few hundred vs what would have been a few thousands in repairs.

He told me he approaches each job as a mechanic to help keep things running not as a salesman, that sums up the experience I had. Also worth noting, the invoice is itemized! Which I found other places leave out cost breakdown. If there is something that can be fixed and worth being fixed he will do it and will be honest if not.

When my mini-split unit wasn’t blowing out cold air, I contacted Comfort Home and Heating to take a look. Sam was quick to respond and fixed the problem. I felt like I was working with a knowledgeable, trustworthy technician. I will be returning to Comfort Home and Heating if I experience any future issues.

We recently had the air conditioning go at our office during the hottest week of the summer. I called Sam on Friday and he was out on Monday to look at the system. It was determined that it needed to be replaced. He took a look around, got some input from the owner and had the pricing for us by the end of the week. The work was completed very professionally and quickly. Sam went over everything that was being done and explained the reasoning. Would definitely recommend and look forward to working with them again.

Sam was so helpful and pleasant to work with! He was able to move me up earlier in the schedule and found a fortunate quick fix for my heating. Afterwards he shared a lot of valuable information about my boiler and the whole system to ensure it maintain proper function. I could not recommend Sam and Comfort Home Heating and Cooling enough!!
