I had a bad experience working with this company.

Had to have Jackie send the invoice multiple times to get the simple directions I gave him the first time, right.

They sent out three two-man crews three separate times. The first group was cool with me, I just wish they called me (as I discussed with Jackie) half hour before they arrived instead of once they arrived. Once they were here I told them I wish they had called because I had another company I used previously coming to give a quote (since their calendar freed up). Those guys were cool and they went to another job. They got to work and make money, totally understandable.

Then I talked to Jackie and said the selling point was them doing my roof work around the meter weather-head. They only did a one year warranty while the other company did 10-year, but this was a big selling point to me because we hadn’t had power in 13 days from the ice storm and needed a fix that covered everything (roof part included).

Then a few hours later a crew still hadn’t come out, so I asked Jackie to please get the team out here or some sort of update I can work with because the linemen were outside my house waiting for them to come. So then a second crew of two came. One electrician and his apprentice. They could not complete the job because they didn’t come with the necessary parts for this simple job (a coupler for the pipes). Apparently another guy had a part 2-3 miles away but didn’t want to bring it to them. So then that group left and I waited another few hours for another group to come. One guy did most the work while the other guy maybe did ten minutes work and then went over by the van on the phone (but I guess I have to pay for that…). In fairness there were 5 linemen then standing in my driveway cracking jokes and one of the guys (Darron) was working hard to do the job.

Anyways they finished and left pretty quick and I took pictures and sent them to Jackie since his guys had already left but didn’t get pictures. No sweat, I really appreciated Jackie working hard to get the emergency permit pulled so then the linemen could do their thing and my family could get power that night. Basically everything was good at that point. It all worked out.

I called Jackie later Friday stating I already paid the 50% down as he requested (well 50% of the not to exceed amount), but that the generic invoice still showed I owed more than a grand. Anyways he said he didn’t have the details in front of me and that we could figure it out Monday. No problem, I totally get it.

Where this goes south for me is come today (Monday) I follow up with Jackie again and point out the 6 hours labor and that I agree with the permit charge, but felt the hardware was overpriced by about $800 from my own researching & estimates. And here’s the thing, I could genuinely be wrong, but instead of working with me, Jackie pushed back and said if I want a full itemized receipt for what I’m paying that he can clock in and charge me for itemizing it. Really?…. So am I just to accept an invoice that group itemizes 7 things and then says “misc” for the other $800 I’m questioning? I wasn’t trying to be a jerk by asking, but I want to know what I’m paying for especially if I feel I’m over paying. What reasonably smart person wouldn’t? After going back and forth a bit with Jackie, which I find ridiculous, I’ll admit I got a bit rude, and he was rude and unprofessional back. I think if you run a business and someone wants to know what parts they are being charged for they should be given an exact list of what they specifically got. Anyways Jackie says he will send me an itemized list tomorrow. If so, I plan to update this review. I’m a fair person and just want to be treated fairly and pay for what I got and not pay for what I didn’t get.
