Team Air Distributing is a phenomenal company! This is the second time they have jumped into action to save the day on parts we were needing. THANK YOU, Doug "Superman" Spencer & Crew!!! ;0) You guys are amazing & have a BIG fan down in Jackson, TN! - Christi Bartlett, Cagle Service, LLC

The slowest warehouse I ever seen. Driver’s never except any load going to this so called Team Air.

Minimum 5 Hours to get unloaded. If you can cancel your load it’s not worth it to be here.

Updated Review: Major Headaches, Partial Redemption — Be Cautious With American Standard and Team Air

I previously warned about my frustrating experience with American Standard and Team Air, and I want to update the review to reflect the full picture now that the situation is (finally) resolved.

    The Problem
In 2022, I purchased an American Standard HVAC system through Smith’s Quality Heating & Cooling. Within 24 months, the unit suffered:

    Two failed compressors

A frozen heat pump due to a leaking coil

    Four warranty claims

    Persistent performance problems

The most recent compressor replacement (installed June 3, 2025) failed within 5 days. Clearly, I was sold a defective unit—but instead of owning the issue, American Standard hid behind their warranty, providing no real accountability or urgency.

    Who Did What
Smith’s Quality Heating & Cooling was not the problem. They're a small company that genuinely tried to help:

They absorbed the labor and refrigerant costs each time repairs were needed.

They performed the warranty repairs even though the repeated failures were out of their control.

They were ultimately left in the lurch by Team Air, the distributor responsible for regional warranty support.

Team Air, on the other hand, shifted blame instead of taking ownership. When the second replacement compressor failed, they claimed an electrical inspection was needed (despite no evidence of such a problem). I provided that inspection, proving there was no issue—and still, I was met with stonewalling.

    Resolution — Thanks to Trevor
What finally turned things around was Trevor from Team Air. He stepped in when no one else would:

He worked directly with American Standard.

He was responsive, professional, and took ownership where others didn’t.

He helped coordinate the new equipment so a new HVAC professional could properly install it.

Thanks to Trevor's efforts and the new installer, I now have a functioning, system.
