Exceptional Service from Turf Managers in Smyrna, TN!

I cannot say enough great things about Turf Managers and the incredible job they did setting up our garden in Smyrna! We had 8 large garden beds that needed to be filled with soil, and they handled it flawlessly from start to finish.

The crew showed up on time, worked efficiently, and had an amazing attitude the entire time. Every worker was friendly, knowledgeable, and truly hard-working—you could tell they took pride in what they do. They didn’t just dump the soil and go; they made sure everything was leveled and prepped perfectly for planting. Their attention to detail really stood out.

Turf Managers is an incredible company. We need some last minutes services and they came to the rescue. The owner of the company is incredibly nice and helpful and really went above and beyond for us!

We have been using Turf Managers for over five years. We love Turf Managers. Our lawn is always beautiful, our shrubs are thriving with the shrub spraying program and our mulch is always done very generously! Just had new shrubs planted to expand some beds, shrubs trimmed, new mulch put down, aerating and overseeding! They do it all!

We’ve been working with Turf Managers for about a year now and they’ve been great. They recently completed a landscaping project that has really improved our yard and it was done on time and under budget. What’s not to like?! To start I will say they did a good job with weed control and fertilizer, but when it came to fall seeding our experience with them was disastrous. They came out and gave us a bid for mechanical aeration and seeding and originally said they would seed early in the season.

Then I got a message from the office saying it would be the very end of October or early November. I contacted Mike, the manager I was working with and told him I was not comfortable with seeding that late in the season. He said they do it all the time and it would be fine.

I thought about it again and contacted him again say I wanted to be moved earlier. I got a phone call from him telling me they've been in business for over 30 years and knew what they were doing. The only reason I decided not to switch to another company for seeding was I wanted the aeration and it was too late to switch for that.

They didn't show up till the 4th or 5th of November and the guys that showed up said they couldn't aerate because our front yard hill was too steep and because of that they couldn't aerate the back either! I don't know why Mike didn't see that when he bid the job. And when I contacted him there was no apology but he offered liquid aeration which I don't want. So I had them seed anyway.

Well it was so late in the season that it started freezing at night a few days later and I could not water properly and almost none of the seed came up. As a result we now have a mud pit in our backyard and lots of bare spots in the front.

There was a nice manager in the office that offered us some a free service if we stayed but at this point the damage was done and I was not happy. We now have to work hard in the spring to get our yard looking nice while all my neighbors yards that were seeded in early fall look great.
