Bought a cheap pecan slab and was able to turn it into a very nice looking bench for moms bathroom.

Caleb created a stylish and functional laundry room for me using wood-planked walls, a bench and shelving for baskets. He worked with me on the stain so that each piece complimented each other. I love walking by the room and seeing how beautiful and organized it is now! He also built custom shutters for me and a cedar and metal awning for a large window on the front of my house. His attention to detail really added to the curb appeal!

Super friendly and great prices. I dropped off some planks to be dried and planed, and they kept me updated on the status while they were in the kiln. Caleb is very knowledgeable and had great insight and advice on the best way to tackle my project. I would definitely recommend!

These guys rock! They took these 9 foot tall doors back to new. The entire bottom of these doors had rotted through. They went back with a stronger wood and BAM they nailed it. Thanks Caleb.

Caleb, Kelly, and the entire team are what every service company should be: responsive, professional, consultative, and just good people.

I found them after discovering that the chest of drawers we bought from Ashley Furniture in Mesquite had become a breeding ground for Powder Post Beetles. (Didn’t know what those were either—but they’re basically termites for furniture. Destructive, gross, and not something you want in your home.)

Our only choices?

1. Kill the beetles via heat treatment (really the only way to stop them), or
2. Toss a nice-looking but infested chest to the curb and hope no unsuspecting soul drags it home.

Thankfully, we found UTM. They had the equipment and the expertise to fix the problem. It’s not like there’s a kiln on every corner big enough to cook furniture—but they have one, and they knew exactly what to do. These folks saved an expensive item from a slow, crunchy death by insect.

In a world full of Ashley Furniture stores and bug-ridden regrets, it’s good to know about Urban Tree Merchants.

Kalob and Devon and Trinton made the coolest cat scratchers for my fur kids!

Great inventory of all types of wood slabs. They have a large router table capable of planing up to 60" wide slabs and table tops. They can do anything from supplying rough cut slabs, beams, mantles to fine epoxy finishes. If you have a project you need help with or a need for rare wood slabs they can do it. Their slab prices are very competitive because they sell directly to the public.

From the moment I walked in, the team here was extremely helpful and attentive to what I was asking for. Caleb is running a great company and knows a lot about wood slabs. We specifically needed shelves and a mantle for our fireplace and let me tell you, it looks even better than I imagined. It is a show stopping piece in our home. We are so grateful for this team and the effort they put into our project from start to finish.
