“The work was great! We’ve recommended Transformations Building & Remodeling to several friends who have also been satisfied.”

Lakshmi is the most service-oriented contractor we have ever worked with.

OMG! 21st Century Creative Off The Charts Solutions! Seasoned contractor with a heart and mind of Gold. Thank you! Transformation Station!

“Lakshmi installed a floating floor in my dance studio when I decided to expand. She gave me straight up advice about what kind of floor to put in and how I could save money by purchasing the flooring myself from a reputable floor store that had an amazing variety of wood options to choose from. She finished the floor in plenty of time for our grand reopening. I knew I could count on her because I had seen her great full build out remodeling job at another dance studio in town where I also go and guide dances. Lakshmi knows remodeling and transformation well. I plan on using her again soon.”

“Excellent work! Transformations Building & Remodeling made my dreams come true. What I had wanted for my remodeling was something I had dreamed up. Lakshmi listened to me carefully, brought in the perfect designer and made it happen for me. Great care was taken in every detail, and I had total trust in Transformations Building and Remodeling. I would highly recommend their work.”

Lakshmi was wonderful to work with - she listened to what was important to me, and her work was excellent! She stayed on target for both cost and schedule. I will definitely use Transformations again!

Lakshmi Jackman and her crew did a wonderful job in my east Austin home in 2009! We planned easily together, with their obtaining the items I'd chosen, and installing everything expertly and on time. Her crew came in each morning and cleaned up each day, so I could live in my home while the work was done.”

Transformations Building and Remodeling is one of the reasons that Austin has a character and quality of life that can't be found in other city.

Lakshmi Jackson is an attentive and skilled builder with an intuitive eye for detail. She crafts structures that appear to grow organically from the neighborhood they are rooted in, while innovating and shaping the aspects of the project to reflect the vision you had about what this building could be.

I have worked with Lakshmi on a number of projects and the only question I have about her work is, 'is she available.'

We did a tear down and Lakshmi custom built our new house for us. My wife was in Austin for most of the build, but I was overseas. It was a whole year ago that I last saw the progress so when I came back into town a couple weeks ago, I got to see the completed project. When I walked into the foyer and living room, it literally took my breath away. The house is more beautiful than I ever could have imagined. Following the progress through blueprints and pictures did not prepare me for the delightful end result. Excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail in every corner. She dealt with/coordinated some uncommon factors such as European windows and Geothermal. We are so thrilled with our new forever home!

Lakshmi and her team are fantastic! As a homeowner doing my own work she has helped me tremendously as a consultant and she’s saved me a lot of time, money, and hassle with her expertise.

We have been extremely happy with the work that Lakshmi, Larry and the whole Transformations crew have put into our project. People thought we were crazy to undertake a 6-month remodel that tripled the size of our house, but it has been one of the most enjoyable remodel experiences we could have imagined. We have been very impressed with the quality of all of the people on our job, including the subcontractors. The crew takes pride in their work, and they have every right to — they’ve done a fantastic job! We definitely give them a strong recommendation.

We truly enjoyed working with Lakshmi Jackman at Transformations Custom Build. As real estate investors we have basic DIY skills, but building guest suites out of shipping containers in Fredericksburg, TX is not a DIY project. This was our first time working with a general contractor, and we were pleasantly surprised. We were kept updated on the subcontractor schedules, the budget, deliveries, etc. Speaking of subcontractors, we met most of them and could tell they enjoyed working with Lakshmi, which says a lot about her character. The end result was a beautiful, well built vacation rental site where we get lots of compliments from our guests. We highly recommend Lakshmi Jackman and Transformations Custom Build.

Working with Transformations Custom Build is like a dream come true! I have had a lot of experience with construction projects, and many were less than desirable. However, working with Transformations Custom Build is like a breath of fresh air when you get to the top of the mountain!

From the first meeting, the conversation is relaxed, but informative, serious but fun, and always considerate of your time. Careful consideration is given to your wants and needs, and Lakshmi brings her decades of experience to the table, giving guidance that only a professional who loves what they do can contribute. Even the vendors and other professionals Lakshmi brings to the table to assist in the process are a pleasure to work with.

Communication is clear and always given to you on the level you are at, so you feel you are understanding the process, and are understood throughout, a Priceless piece of the process that many miss or perform poorly.

Their reputation and communication may bring you to the table, but the quality of craftsmanship is what keeps me coming back. I have worked with a lot of GCs and builders in Central Texas and I am hard pressed to come up with anyone that provides the quality of work, especially finish work, that Lakshmi and her team deliver on each and every project.

If I want the best quality build at the fairest price around I only make one call, toTransformations Custom Build. Fingers crossed, they have time in their schedule for me, but if they don't, I will wait. They are That Good!

I am an architect and recently had the pleasure of working with Lakshmi and Kristin on a home that I designed.

So much of the general contractor’s job is about clean, clear communication and doing what they say they will do… and hinges on other people- namely, their subs. I was impressed with all.

It is delightful when the integrity of the builder matches their commitment to building a beautiful project. I have no hesitation recommending this builder.

5 of 5 stars for Transformations Custom Build!

Easily the best experience working with a contractor that we have ever had in almost 37 years! Lakshmi communicates extremely well, and never makes you feel like your questions are stupid or a nuisance. Her team’s attention to detail (and cleanliness!) are remarkable, and Lakshmi is always there to ensure the final product meets her client’s expectations. It was a real pleasure working with this contractor. Highly, highly recommend.

Lakshmi Jackman is a gem. We worked with her to create the kitchen of our dreams, and the entire remodeling project—from design to completion—was wrapped up in just four months. As anyone who's lived through a remodel knows, it can be disruptive and demanding. A kitchen remodel especially requires trust in your architect, structural engineer, and most importantly, your general contractor.
Lakshmi is exceptional. Her background as a master carpenter gives her a rare depth of understanding, and it shows in every detail. She’s not just a GC—she’s a true craftswoman and a thoughtful leader. She’s built a team of top-tier professionals in plumbing, electrical, custom cabinetry, and painting, and they all reflect her high standards.
The final result? A stunning kitchen and den area that we absolutely love. We trusted Lakshmi from our very first conversation, and she delivered beyond expectations. The time, effort, and collaboration were all worth it.
Thank you, Lakshmi!

I highly recommend Transformations Custom Build for your next home project. We recently completed a 700-square-foot addition on our home in South Austin, and the entire process with Lakshmi and her team was incredibly smooth.

They did a great job managing the project. This included securing reliable and talented subcontractors, successfully navigating the often-difficult permitting and inspection process, and maintaining an incredibly detail-oriented build. They also did all of this while successfully staying on budget. Meeting all these needs is a monumental task in today's market.

Lakshmi followed our architectural drawings precisely and collaborated closely with both us and our architect to find prompt solutions whenever questions arose. Both Lakshmi and Kristen maintained fantastic communication throughout the entire process, always providing timely updates and being readily available for any questions we had.

The result was a wonderful, move-in-ready space we are extremely happy with!

Our kitchen renovation was a complicated project but from the beginning I felt like I was in good hands with Lakshmi; she’s dedicated, professional, highly responsive and an excellent communicator. She’ll never leave you in the dark.. She consistently provides updates and responds to questions in a timely manner. She has high standards. Her team is talented and trustworthy….the quality of some of the work actually exceeded my expectations! We look forward to entertaining in our beautiful new Kitchen! Thank you Lakshmi Jackman with Transformations Custom Build.

From the beginning my husband, Tim and I were impressed with Lakshmi's knowledge and building background. As a daughter of a perfectionist home builder, I have high expectations and Lakshmi and her contractors delivered and then some. She recommended an excellent architect, Diane Kett, for our extensive outdoor living space/kitchen remodel. She was excellent and created three plan options. We were so impressed with our outdoor area that we expanded our remodel to our driveway, two outdoor stairs, and a sidewalk. I can't recommend Lakshmi enough. I've been through SO many remodels in my life, and this is by far the best, and less stressful of them all. Bonus is Lakshmi's sunny disposition and can do attitude. She was extremely responsive and truly cares about her clients.

10 stars but only allowed to provide 5 stars. Our exterior project outdoor kitchen and transformation was one of those projects where we had a general sense of what we just didn’t like and what we would have liked had the prior owners used common sense. Lakshmi and her team listened to what we couldn’t quite articulate and synthesized it into a plan that captured exactly what we wanted. Execution on the plan was flawlesss, and every little and big change that we made along the way was handled with ease and without taking advantage on cost — something that is unfortunately atypical of many contractors. The project dramatically enhanced the aesthetics, functionality, and ability to use our property — we went from the ability to effectively utilize 50% of our outside space to the ability to utilize 75-80% of our space (the challenge was that our home is built on top of solid limestone, and that creates its own challenges). Kudos to Lakshmi, Kristen, Dianne, and all who form a part of Lakshmi’s stellar team.
