All reviews for Good Roots Tree Care

I have feel very fortunate to have found a very knowledgeable, honest and hardworking insured tree company who is run by the certified arborist, Gabriel Keys. He has done an outstanding job for us and he has always been most interested in protecting our landscaping and home by providing the proper care of our trees. He has diagnosed, treated, fertilized and trimmed our
trees to ensure that they will continue to grow and add value and beauty to our property. He won’t over sell and I appreciate his honesty, professionalism and his willingness to help us when we have questions. I highly recommend you contact him for your property’s needs.

We love Gabriel he is very knowledgeable and professional. He does what he says and comes when he says.

Overgrown magnolia tree in front of home. Nicely trimmed, along with another tree. Everything looks great.

Gabriel’s team gave me an incredibly fair quote and had a crew out at my place to prune my two front yard oak trees next day. Very professional and quick to get the job done. Will be using his team in the future.

Gabriel Keys, the arborist and his team at good roots handled A problem Tree in a tight space with ease no damage to the property and excellent cleanup highly recommend

So happy to learn that Gabe has started his own business. He came to our rescue in May ‘24 after the derecho brought 2- 60’ trees down in my back yard across a newly plastered pool. He arranged for a crane to lift them out without a scratch to the pool. Second SOS was in July 2024 when Hurricane Beryl brought 6 large trees down. In 2025 he supervised the removal of multiple redbay laurels which continue to die on our property due to Laurel Wilt. He is safety-aware, knowledgable, competent, a pleasure to work with, and gets my highest recommendation.

Honest and hard working!! Gabriel and his team will not only get the job done, but they will get it done right, no cutting corners.

These guys are super honest and trustworthy. Experts in their field!

Excellent service! From identifying the issue, to removal, to stump grinding, to replacement everything was smooth, reasonable and professional! Highly recommend.

10/10 would recommend these guys! Hard working, honest, and will get the job done! You won't regret hiring them!

Amazing job, above and beyond, respectful of property and left everything looking great. Very highly recommend these guys!!!!

Arborist Gabriel Keys is an experienced professional who will take great care of your trees!

I highly recommend Good Roots.

I can attest to not only professionalism and dedication, but knowledgeability and effectiveness as well: Gabriel trimmed our trees, taking care not to leave them lopsided (the actual theory was more complex, but that's the gist of it). As a result (I think), we were among a tiny handful of houses in our neighborhood who didn't have any trees down when Hurricane Beryl hit a few weeks later.

Gabriel has done Tree work for us in the past on multiple occasions, and we highly recommend their work. Professional, honest, and very knowledgeable arborist. Would definitely recommend them!

Absolutely blown away by the attention to detail. The team was prompt, respectful, tidy, and worked diligently from start to finish. It feels like the property can breathe better, enjoys more natural light, and has improved visibility.

Gabriel and his team delivered top-tier professionalism, with sound reasoning and clear explanations of the work to be accomplished. The property looks amazing and the only regret we have is not calling him sooner. Look no further folks, Gabriel and his team will certainly get the job done.

So glad Gabe has started his own business. We have used him back when he worked for his dad (now retired) and he is EXCELLENT at what he does!! Not to mention a kind & gentle young man. Doing business with Gabe is an absolute pleasure!

Gabriel has shown great work. This is a very knowledgeable man in tree service and he has an excellent work ethic. Gabriel will work to do what’s best for you and your family.

These guys have a wealth of knowledge! They actually care about you and the health of your trees! Highly recommend!

We wound up hiring this company to begin straightening out our yard by moving a mulberry tree. The care and compassion for the tree itself was much appreciated and I definitely felt like we made the right decision hiring this company and will do so again. The rates were very fair and the company was not only informative but also effective. Thank you so much!

I contacted Gabriel to quote tree trimming, removal and general health of my trees. I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, him and his team were professional, knowledgeable, and hardworking. Gabriel, who's a certified arborist, took the time to evaluate each tree and explain what needed to be done, not just for appearance but also for the long-term health and safety of our property. He was very concerned with evaluating the trees and come up with a plan to help lower our risk of a tree breaking into our house. He constantly had an eye for what my goals were, what was a high risk item and how to mitigate that risk.

The team arrived on time, worked hard and with great care. They used safety harness, hard hats, safety glasses and hearing protection. As they moved through the yard they were cleaning up as they went. My yard looks amazing afterward!

What really stood out was his communication throughout the whole process, fair pricing and genuine pride in their work.

I highly recommend them and will be using them again next year when my yard needs some TLC.

I cannot recommend this tree service enough! Gabriel has helped us identify dangerous trees on our property and removed them at a fare price. It gives me peace of mind to know, that my children can play safely outside without the fear of branches or rotting trees falling.
Definitely take the free quote! You can’t find a more honest, safe crew in Houston. Five stars from me!
