They are a wonderful company with a huge heart for the community. And they just happen to do top-notch work. Cannot wait to use them again for future projects!

Worked with Blake, he and the crew did a great job. They were on time and did what they said they would do quickly and listened and adjusted where they needed to.

The work done by Gourley Contractors is always "perfect". I don't think of calling any other contractor. They make sure that their work is superb.

Gourley Contracting re-installed some recessed lighting and pendants in the kitchen area of my condo on Mustang Island. They followed my instructions to the letter and were very professional in their work and demeanor. Even when I requested some follow-up work because of some technical changes I wanted, they were exceptionally accommodating and cooperative. My house needed a lot of repairs outside replacing facia board, rebuild chimney, repair box windows,etc. The job manager kept me informed and the crew doing all the repairs and painting were efficient and polite. They cleaned up every day before they left. I consider them very reliable and easy to work with.

Dependable-showed up on time. Trustworthy - work efficiently completed in the time frame provided. Communicative- communicated effectively of what the job entailed and the cost involved. Professional- left work site in a better condition than when they left and took pride in their work. Highly recommend Gourley Contractors for your next project!

Big transition year for our family! My wife Lourdes and I started a cycle of much needed renovations at our property in Corpus Christi, TX. Hiring construction workers has always been the biggest challenge whenever we have engaged in similar projects in the past. While we live within city limits, for whatever reason, it has always been difficult to find and retain quality workers in our area. Yes, we live bordering the next town & county in northwest Corpus Christi (Nueces County). I am literally a swim away from San Patricio County (granted that the alligators in the Nueces River behave and do not eat me in the process). Having said that, we have been very fortunate through the past 20+ years to have worked with excellent construction workers and contractors whenever we do find and retain them.
Gourley Contractors, LLC (Gourley). has followed through with the tradition of quality work that we have experienced before.

We hired Gourley, a little over three weeks ago, to complete a living/dining room remodel. The project involved demolition of a wall, re-installation of another, and related electrical work. In addition, there were tiles to be installed, resurfacing/refinish of walls and ceiling, woodwork and painting. All needed to be completed within a two week period. The good workers at Gourley under the leadership of Martin Villareal completed the work flawlessly and ahead of schedule!

Special Texas Size Thanks to Eliseo & Family, Luis, José, Lupe, Andrés, Shari, Martín, and any other Gourley staff member with whom I may or may not have interfaced with, that worked on our Northwest Trail house in one way or another...everyone was awesome!

I will strongly consider Gourley Contractors, LLC for my future home remodeling projects. Based on my recent experience, I highly recommend Gourley Contractors, LLC for anyone that needs to do quality residential construction work on time and reasonably priced.

My company utilized Gourley for a commercial build in an existing warehouse space. Persistent steady efforts kept the project on schedule despite changes. Constant communication kept everyone on the same page. The entire team from boots on the ground to admin and accounting were consistently actively engaged in helping us get this done. Shout out to Martin Villareal - amazing project manager.

Checked out their site and called about a remodel job that I'm contacting. They called back several days later to inform me that they were NOT taking any more residential work.

IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER'S RESPONSE:

I just wanted to clarify. There have been ZERO phone conversations between the Project Manager and myself other than the initial scheduling of the estimate. All communication was done via text which I initiated and included in my review. A few weeks after the walk-through, my wife spoke to the Office Manager, who told us she would contact the PM to see what was happening and would call us back. After not receiving a call back from her, I called and spoke with her also a few days later, and she told me the PM told her he was waiting for one quote before he could finalize the estimate for us.

As you can see through the texts, there were many times when the PM told me he was almost done and even once when he told me he had already sent the estimate. This is vastly different from what was posted because we never spoke over the phone, and the PM never told me he was "unable at this time to provide a proposal for the work [we] wished to accomplish."

After reading Google Reviews, we decided to have Gourley Contractors LLC come out and give us an estimate on a home reconstruction. It was challenging to schedule with the office and project manager not returning calls as they said they would. However, a project manager eventually walked through the home with my wife and me on May 6th.

The following week I reached out to the project manager via text to check the status of the estimate and see if he needed any additional information from us. He responded, "Sorry still putting the numbers together I'll try to have it tomorrow." I reached out again two days later, and no response. I followed it up the next day and was told, "Am about to wrap it up shortly." I never received anything. Five days after that, I reached out again and was told, "Sorry I just got back into work been out the last couple of days but I had sent it let me see what happened." This is entirely understandable as stuff happens, and people are out of the office sometimes, but I was told it was sent. I sent another email address just in case the first one was sent to spam and got deleted, but I still did not receive anything. Two days later, I reached out again, but still no response. Four days after that, I reached out, and again, no response.

I called the company, and the office manager told me the project manager was still working on it and would call me back, but guess what? There was no call. Finally, 19 days after the project manager last communicated with me (not responding to texts on three separate days) and 31 days since the project manager walked through the home, we still have not received the estimate.

If you are not interested in a job, let the potential client know. If there is a delay, let the client know. Communication is vital, and evidently, Gourley Contractors LLC does not possess this skill.

If this is what it takes to get an estimate, I wonder what it would take to get the actual work done. I am no longer interested in finding out.
