All reviews for Beautiful Backyard Living

We couldn’t be happier with Beautiful Backyard Living for our new pergola! Our space was pretty limited, and they went above and beyond working with the city to navigate the permit process and get everything approved — something we don’t think every company would have put in that level of effort for.

Deanna was fantastic to work with throughout the whole process. She was communicative every step of the way, and even created a visualization of what the finished space would look like before construction started, which helped us feel confident in the design. Her experience with backyard living spaces really showed — she offered great insights and recommendations that made the final result even better.

Highly recommend this team if you’re considering a backyard project, especially if you’re working with a tricky space!

Working with Beautiful Backyard Living was easily the most pleasant experience we've had with a contractor. Before we signed the contract, Bobby offered to take me to his stone supplier so I could literally get a feel for what type of stone would work best for our patio floor. We quickly agreed on a plan to renovate our outdoor kitchen and add Travertine tile throughout the patio. Work was completed quickly -- and we always knew when to expect the company's crew and what they would be working on during a given day. We're thrilled with the finished project and wouldn't hesitate to work with Bobby and his family again.

Beautiful Backyard living recently extended our patio including paver flooring and a Gabel roof that ties into our existing roof. The end product is gorgeous and every step of the process was seamless and professional. Deanna Townsend managed our project handling every detail and communicating continually. Every contractor behaved professionally and were skilled in their craft. We could not recommend this company more highly and have plans to use them for future projects!

We hired Beautiful Backyard Living to design and build a covered porch on the back of our house, matching our house's existing architecture. They did a fantastic job building exactly what was planned and managed to address all of our concerns every step of the way.

The finished product is beautiful and has made a huge improvement to our house in terms of both aesthetics and usability.

Extremely happy with the services of Susanda Ortega and BBL, who just completed our outdoor deck replacement and patio gable roof. Susanda is a formidable Project Manager who kept the project on track throughout, communicated diligently, navigated the challenges of City of Dallas permitting with skill and patience, and ensured the construction teams arrived punctually, worked fast and cleaned up carefully, all while delivering a top quality finish.

We couldn't be happier with our new outdoor living space! We interviewed several companies before deciding to work with Beautiful Backyard Living. We chose this company because Deanna listened to what our vision for the space was and how we planned to use it before making any recommendations or suggestions. She helped us design a space that meets our needs, has great design and flow, and is beautiful. Austin, our project manager, was great about keeping us informed and up-to-date on the progress of the project. We were able to see, on their website, what work was scheduled for the day. We truly appreciated that part of working with them. Austin was also able to quickly address any problems or concerns we had and worked quickly to resolve them. The different crews that they sent to our house cleaned up after themselves, were respectful of our home and property, and did amazing work for us. We are very happy with our decision to work with Beautiful Backyard Living and highly recommend them.

We had a great experience with Beautiful Backyard Living and will recommend them at any chance. In fact, it was one of our best experiences with home improvement contractors. Deanna was knowledgeable, proactive and easy to work with. Austin made sure the job was done right, down to the last detail. All of the workers were friendly, efficient and clean. Work was done in a timely manner, and we are thrilled with the results.

We had been wanting to upgrade our small concrete slab into a larger covered patio for years and we are so glad we went with Beautiful Backyard Living! The team communication was phenomenal- with project manager, Marcia, keeping us updated every step of the way with scheduling, Zach with the planning and design, and Austin with project construction. Their team was also very patient with us as well as we debated the design we wanted and went through many trials and tribulations with our HOA! We feel as if the craftsmanship of our new patio is perfect and we appreciate how the construction team was prompt in arriving for the job each day, and the education provided to my husband I about the construction process as this was our first major house project and we were a bit lost on what to expect some of the time!

We are very grateful for the great service we received from beautiful backyard living and are very glad we chose them for our new patio. Would highly recommend!

It all starts with the sales person. It started with The sales person and Marcia made it happen. The contractors were excellent and I couldn’t ask for better. They made an exact copy of an already there beautiful arbor and duplicated it for me. Top notch!

When I decided to build a cabana for our pool I reached out to Austin Cravens at Beautiful Backyard Living. Austin promptly scheduled our consultation and he and his colleagues showed up on time and ready to survey our backyard, review the pictures I’d presented and provide recommendations regarding the materials, paint and overall design before measuring the area where we proposed construction. Taking the pool plumbing into consideration, Austin designed our cabana for function as well as fashion and presented his design with options to consider for materials and paint within two weeks of the consultation. Once we agreed on the design and materials, Austin proposed a start date and we signed the contract to begin construction four weeks later, when materials could be onsite after ordering custom made beams and pre-cut boards. We had a few weather delays and material challenges, but each time Austin was prompt and considerate with his communications, and decisions were made in a timely manner that propelled the project forward. Within a few months our cabana was built, painted, furnished and ready for the summer. Austin was professional, courteous and a pleasure to work with, as were the crews and trades who were onsite performing the work day-to-day. I would strongly recommend hiring Austin Cravens and am pleased to award Beautiful Backyard Living a five star review.

Beautiful Backyard Living actualized our vision of an outdoor escape during these trying times (Covid-19). The key to our project's success was having Susanda as our project manager; as she worked fluidly through any issues and always executed the patio plan with the highest levels of professionalism she maintained communication with us throughout the entire process. As with any project, there are unpredictables, Susanda navigated anything that arose with grace and timeliness. This patio build exceeded all of our expectations, but I will let the pictures say the rest. Thank you Beautiful Backyard Living, for a truly beautiful backyard!

Bobby Cravens and team did a wonderful job with our Outdoor Kitchen. The workmanship was phenomenal and they helped us transform our backyard into an outdoor retreat. Very professional and prompt throughout the entire project. Took the time to address all of our questions and concerns. We couldn't be happier with the work they did!

Update: 6months later and we brought Bobby & team back to do more work for us! This time they re-did our fireplace and installed a barn door in our master bathroom. Once again, expectation were exceeded and the work done was incredible! We will continue to use them for future projects.

We had a pretty large job that Beautiful Backyard Living helped us with. They ended up extending our patio, putting up a Pergolas, putting green, a basketball court, Tejas rocks, rerouting sprinkles, removing a column from the patio, putting in compressed granite, and artificial grass.

Overall the backyard looks very impressive and our friends are always giving compliments. With a job this large, you will always have various hiccups that come. Bobby the owner of the company was very responsive and professional. He is a problem solver and always had some solution for us. We really liked working with him and his teams on the project.

They were very honest and tried to do the right thing.

If you need to build a backyard living, then I recommend you to go to Beautiful Backyard Living.

Susanda Ortega was our excellent project manager on an extensive back porch remodel. We had the porch extended with stamped concrete, two pergolas built, and our tree encircled with a stone and brick flower edging. We also had electrical outlets and two ceiling fans added. From design to execution, Susanda helped us create our dream outdoor living space! In fact, she was able to design the second pergola around a semicircular window that other companies said couldn’t be done and made several improvements to our original concept that greatly enhanced the space. Susanda kept the disruption of the project to a minimum and kept us informed and involved every step of the way. She was sensitive to our schedules and keeping our pets safe during process. She was often on-site, overseeing the sub-contractors and actually doing a lot of the labor herself. Impressive lady! The quality of work and results were outstanding. We couldn’t be happier with our new space and will be using this company again for work on our front yard. If you are thinking of some outside improvements, give them a call and ask for Susanda!

I would like to give a whole hearted shout out to Beautiful Backyard Living!!!
We had BBL come and look at our back of our home. We have a very difficult shape on the back of the house and a severe hill.
Bobby came out and looked at the project and was able to make my dream a reality. He worked up a design that was beyond my expectations. The workers that he had do the project were great also. They were very respectful, great and hard working men. I can’t say how much I LOVE my patio. It just makes me happy every time I go out and relax on it. It reminds me of a cabin setting ….. just very peaceful and inviting. We have lived here for 6 years and I only wish I would have found BBL 5 1/2 years ago!!! Thanks, Bobby!!!

Beautiful Backyard Living was great. They did everything, permitting with the city, design work (they even made a rendering so we could see exactly what our new patio cover would look like), and all the construction. At every step of the process they were very communicative and acted quick to mitigate any delays. It took some time to get started, but that was right around several weeks of storms that was not the fault of BBL. There were also some delays with some of the inspections, but BBL worked with the city and did everything they could to keep things moving. After a disastrous kitchen remodel with a different contractor last year, we were very worried about having work completed on our house again, but BBL made this an enjoyable and exciting experience. I would absolutely use BBL again should we have any additional projects and will recommend them to anyone in the Frisco/Little Elm area.

My wife and I first reached out to Jason Todd and Beautiful Backyard Living in April of 21 to build a custom outdoor kitchen and some custom masonry. Jason and the team quickly met with us and provided a clear estimate and expectations. Jason worked with us through a very intensive computer drawing session and helped us to arrange all of the appliances. Based on space he kept us from ordering things that simply wouldn't have fit. The drawing session gave us the confidence to proceed further with Jason on such a big project.
Due to covid, our appliances took eternity from the manufacturers to get. Jason stayed in touch and once we had all but two pieces he scheduled the crew. Everything from the demo team (removed old patio) who also poured reinforced concrete, to the masons who literally drew this in chalk and made it out of nothing to the electrician and the final fitment was great. The guys were friendly, cleaned up their mess and were informative about the inbetween things, meaning, if you angle this you have more room to walk, or, you should put the door hinge on the fridge on this side so it's easier to get to.
Net net this was a dream project for my wife and I. We saved hard to pay for it and were frankly scared to let it go to just anyone.

I'm sure glad it was Jason and the Beautiful Backyard Living team.

To sum up Beautiful Backyard Living in one word: Wow! Marcia and Austin were incredible to work with throughout the entire process. The finished product is stunning - The attention to detail is unmatched! I fully recommend Beautiful Backyard for your next project! (Don’t mind our temporary furniture!!)

We had our patio extended to an amazing outdoor space! We can now spend most of the year outside. We LOVE our new patio and the care it took to make sure the area for our hot tub had the support and a dedicated breaker. SUSANDA ORTEGA was our project manager and she was with us each step of the way from design to job completion, ensuring excellence We highly recommend Susanda as a project manager and Beautiful Backyard Living!!, Our patio looks like it was built with the house. Thank you for creating this amazing space.

From the first phone call to the final payment working with Deann and Bobby was great, their crew were very good and responded to feedback as we went.

We had a patio cover that is integrated into the back of our house with an out door fan and lighting. It looks fantastic. I was great to have some outdoor living space that was usable during the summer.

The company is great to work with including the design phase. Be sure to note any tweaks during the design phase and have them signed of.

Beautiful Backyard Living did an amazing job with our backyard project. We extended the concrete on our patio, as well as added a second covered patio over a new hot tub. The design also included privacy walls and stone steps/bench for the hot tub.

We worked with Deanna and she was great. We gave her ideas and she created a beautiful design. She communicated with us every step of the way, and she was honest about timelines and cost. She took care of everything from design to permits/approval to scheduling the crew. She worked around the hot tub delivery schedule, making her juggle her various schedules. We even threw a few curve balls her way, and she was able to troubleshoot and find us the best solutions. We always felt like a priority, which we really appreciated.

The crews who did the installation were really fast and reliable. They cleaned up after themselves and were respectful of our property. They take pride in their high quality work to execute the design beautifully.

Overall , we are very happy with Beautiful Backyard Living. We highly recommend them for any backyard project.
