Very pleased with this company! I had been without AC for 2wks dealing with a screwing home warranty company. I called Jays electric and got scheduled for the very next day at 5pm, to accommodate my work schedule. They gave me a great quote on only the work I needed and had my AC working in 30 mins! I will Definetly use them again.

We had the most amazing experience with Jay Electric. Elio and his team were on time, courteous, knowledgeable, and very personable. As if that wasn’t enough, their prices are unbeatable! This was the first time we used them and it will certainly not be the last. In fact, we are already scheduling them for another project :)

Selben and his counterpart whose name escapes me, but who was equally as great, showed up on time, gave me a fair quote, and then knocked it out of the park. Needed an entirely new breaker box, and they were thorough, worked smart, and had my house up and running within a couple of hours. Thank you again! Highly recommend!

Jay Electric Services did an excellent job hooking up generator main connection to our house Electric box. We hired them right a day after the hurricane beryl hit. They even connected the ac to the generator and installed some light fixtures for us. They were professional, friendly, and quick. Definitely will recommend them to friends and family.

Fast service and did a great job. HUGE caveat, there is a $195 minimum to have them come out and they don't tell you this. The repairman asked me if the owner told me the price and he had not. The repairman said $195 for half an hour of work. I called the owner and he reiterated the $195. This felt like price gouging for sure and never revealing the price until after the work was done felt very misleading to me. Their thumbtack says free estimates so I guess it was my fault for not asking for the price of the repair beforehand. If you use this service, make sure to get an estimate BEFORE the start of the work.

Hired them to fix my bathroom fan. Within 2 minutes of looking at my fan they said I had to replace it (it was old, seemed reasonable).
They didn't tell me what they were replacing it with, but luckily I had photos of my previous fan to compare with. My previous fan CFM was 75 and they replaced it with the cheapest 50 CFM fan. I didn't notice until after when my bathroom steamed up more than usual. Called them up and they said they replaced mine with the minimum per code. I said I wasn't happy, but they said they'd replace it with the fan I'd want if I purchased it. When the techs went to install the 2nd fan they told me this was the exact same fan (it was not), and they asked how I knew the original they installed was 50 CFM and I had to explain it to them, which doesn't sit right with me if they're supposed to be the experts. I'd give them a worse review, but they made it right by coming back free of charge and reimbursed me for the cost of the 1st fan. Maybe I got inexperienced techs or caught them on a job they're not experts in, but can't say I'd recommend them to others. -
They're
ok.
They showed up on time.
I have an older house, and I could see they weren't happy about that. Showed the two guys my kitchen where the two old outlets I wanted repaired. They checked the old wires and found that they still had power to them. Gave me a price, I said" OK", and they went to work but before they started handed them two new GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter ) outlets i had at the time because at one time I was thinking about doing it myself and According to the NEC (National Electrical Code) all outlets 6 feet from any water source should be GFCI Certified but, Then I thought I should let the professionals do it. I stepped outside and let them work because I didn't like being watched when I worked. 20 to 25 minutes later, they were finished. I thought ok, took a look at saw two basic 110 outlets. I said, "What happened to the GFCI outlets I gave you ?" They said my wires were too old. I thought that's weird because when I bought my old house it came with the GFCIs installed. They asked me if I wanted to test to new outlets. I plugged a small fan into each outlet. They worked. I said "thanks" and paid them. They left.
Later, I checked to see if they were ground. One failed, called back for them to return, and checked it again because I was worried about power surges and fires. They came back, checked, and assured me its ok. Not feeling 100% sure. I bought two surge protectors and installed them.
They're
Ok. -
Nothing done to code. left with a fire hazard
When you confront them, they pretend like they don't know you or didn't do any work for you. And they don't give you an invoice. That's why they have several different listings. And several different numbers.
Very shady business practices
They pigtailed copper directly to aluminum wiring using noncompliant connectors.
You're better off doing it yourself -
MISS GARCIA WILL NOT RETURN YOUR CALLS TEXT MESSAGES OR EVEN GIVE YOU AN INVOICE, SHE IS VERY RUDE AND SEEMS TO HATE HER JOB.
I WOULD NOT TRUST PEOPLE LIKE THIS. -
Used them before and they did fine; this time no show for appointment and no response to text or call. Waste of time !

This company installed a 240v outlet for in home EV car charger but it burned out in less than a week. Technician began cutting into the wall before realizing it was the wrong location and they did not clean up the area below the outlet. Their master electrician came by to assess the situation after I explicitly told them not to and defended the job his technicians did but never offered an explanation of why the outlet burned out. Hired Right Pro Electrical Services to replace the outlet and complete the job the right way.
