Would highly recommend this place. The person they sent to my house gave us the price explained to us what he was quoting. When he came to do the work showed up on time and completed the work quickly.

The staff at OHMS were very responsive and were able to come out quickly. Once at the house, the electricians worked swiftly, efficiently, and were also good at explaining everything they had done, as well as answering all other questions I had (since I know next to nothing re: electrical). I'll definitely work with them again.

I highly recommend OHMS! The secretary told me that she would give me a heads up call when they were close so I wouldn't have to put other errands on hold while waiting. Matt and Libni showed up and had the job done in an hour! Everyone was super friendly!

November 2023 Update: More work by JC and an assistant, replacing a hard-wired kitchen counter light and installing a new outlet in entry hall. Again, great work (fast, too) at a good price.
Original review: "JC" installed a GFI outlet in the kitchen, replaced a bathroom ceiling heater/light/exhaust, and corrected a wiring problem in the attic. Professional and friendly at a reasonable price.

I had positive experience from the first call! They accommodated me in every way, worked around my travel plans and installed a new electric panel by the deadline set by my home insurer. This great service made it hurt a lor less when I got the bill! I highly recommend. Tonya, thank you for being so professional and sending out 2 fabulous and friendly technicians, John and Alex!

We called on Monday and Mike in the office had JC and Chris at our house on Tuesday morning. They efficiently diagnosed and quickly repaired a malfunctioning electrical outlet, installed a new timer switch, traced outlets to mislabeled circuit breakers and vice versa (they helped remove and rehang an 80 inch TV to do some of this!), and teed up work to add additional loads and circuits to our generator. They were great.

Install a celling fan in the house

Ohms did some work for me a couple years ago and did an excellent job. So I recently asked for a quote to do some additional work and they were very disappointing to work with this time around. It is unfortunate that their customer service is going to cost them this work and future work with me.

The details - They failed to get me the first quote, and I had to call them to find out what happened and to get a second visit arranged. They then failed to show up for the second visit. When I called to find out what was going on, they fabricated a story that I had called them and said that “I was confused and didn’t want to get the work done”. After expressing my frustration, Tonya at Ohms proposed sending me a quote without having to do another visit, and recommended that it would make sense for my situation to split the work up into two quotes to tackle one at a time. The quote I received was not split and was incorrect in a few places. When I asked her to make the corrections, part of which was reducing the scope of work, she increased the cost by 30% in the updated quote, citing that the reason was efficiencies lost by having to make multiple trips (Ohms is 10 min from my house). She then lied to me for a second time when she stated that she never recommended multiple trips. It was at this point that I chose to go with another service provider.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY ! ! !

I had them come out to install a whole-house surge protecter. They quoted $105/yr. Told me that they had to replace two breakers in my box in order to do the install. When I reviewed the prices they were charging they were >50% higher than anything I saw.

They will low-ball an estimate and seriously gouge you on parts that they "didn't realize they needed". Wasted 2 hours of my time and didn't finish the job.
