All reviews for Decathlon Construction

My outdoor area had a unique situation and I had no idea what could be done to build what I wanted. When I gave the task to Decathlon Construction, they came up with a creative design that was more than I could imagine. The results were beyond my expectations and I was completely satisfied with the finished product. I recommend them highly.

We love our new outdoor space! We had several companies come out and tell us because of our roof line and eaves on our house we couldn't have a solid covered patio. We were told we would have to have a pergola on half the space. Not only did Decathlon do exactly what we wanted they exceeded our expectations. It is absolutely beautiful! We couldn't be more pleased.

Decathlon is extremely professional and the quality of their work is superb! They are great at communicating with you throughout the process. We strongly recommend Decathlon Construction.

Jerry, April - you built me a backyard patio 10+ years back in Allen. I just wanted to say the patio you built for us is still getting kudos from our friends and they say it is the best they have seen. We have been enjoying it so much as well. I thought you would want to hear this so sharing. Keep up your great service.

If there was a 6 star rating, I would absolutely give it for this company. I cannot say enough about how amazing these folks are. This was my 3rd patio I had them install over the years. From the initial measurement and quote to the finishing touches with gutters and paint - every single person that we interacted with was professional, clean, detail oriented and just plain awesome. The price, service and follow up have always been top notch. Keep doing what you are doing, Jerry and April!

In light of all the construction horror stories I heard regarding costs, labor shortages, and delays, I was hesitant to begin our patio project.

However, from beginning to end, April and Jerry responded efficiently and professionally with any questions, requests, or follow ups we had.

The quality of the project ended with an excellent result and within the estimated finish date. The fees associated with the project were reasonable, and any potential changes were addressed prior to the start date.

I’ve had a few construction projects in the past few years, and they definitely outperformed the other contractors.

If you’ve been hesitant to pull the trigger, go ahead and take comfort in knowing you’ll get the outcome you want.

Decathlon was professional throughout our construction. The site was kept clean on a daily basis. All contractors were very kind and efficient. All our questions were answered promptly. I would recommend April and Jerry to anyone wanting to improve their backyard experience.

This is the second time we have used Decathlon Construction. The team did a complete remodel of our backyard. Work Included an outdoor kitchen, new covered patio, fire pit, arbor and stamped concrete. They performed excellent work! I would highly recommend Decathlon Construction.

Decathlon Construction designed and built our covered patio and outdoor kitchen. The addition was beautifully designed and well built. Jerry and April had excellent communication throughout the project. A+ service and we will use them again in the future.

Decathlon Construction is above par when it comes to outdoor living space design and customer service. Our beautiful living space was complete in Spring 2019 and it took a reasonable amount of time from start to finish. Everything was choreographed strategically and we were always in the loop on time frames and construction details for each day.

They have a construction crew for each specialty, for example: a masonry team, concrete team, wood stain team, electrical team, trim team, gutter team, material delivery team, carpentry team, etc.! That meant a lot to us because it tells us that each team excels in their profession and can truly master their task at hand.

Aside from the perfect craftsmanship of our patio, the owners really stood out as exceptional. They proved to be very honest, empathetic and straight forward. They pleasantly listened and addressed any and every question or concern we had. They treat your patio design as if it were their own and you can tell they love what they do. We were highly impressed all around. Our patio is a dream come true and we have Decathlon Construction to forever thank!

I don’t leave many reviews but I had to with this great company. As a civil engineer and being around construction for 20+ years, this company takes pride in their work as the materials they use is top notch, communication with April is great, and the attention to detail is wonderful. I have seen other covered patios in my subdivision as they don’t look nearly as nice. Covered patios can be pricey but it was all worth it. Highly recommended.

I recently had the opportunity to engage with this company during my search for the right team to handle my patio project. From the outset, they were thoroughly professional and incredibly helpful. They promptly addressed all my questions and provided a detailed consultation on-site, which I found very informative.I must commend this company for their exceptional customer service. Their dedication to their craft and potential clients is evident, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their services to others.

Decathlon Construction did a great job on our additional living space, just under 400sqft plus large patio! Everything from demo, to installation, to clean up went very smoothly. The owners Jerry & April were very attentive, while our foreman Orsin and his crew were very professional and worked hard. Everyone mentioned did an excellent job to ensure they built the space we wanted and we couldn’t be happier!

Highly recommend.

Our experience with Decathlon was exceptional! They added on a cedar patio cover and we couldn't be happier. The experience was positive from the get go and continued until the very end. April was a pleasure to work with as well as the all the contractors. We HIGHLY recommend Decathlon!!!

Decathlon Construction built a covered patio on my house. They did an awesome job and were so easy to work with! I am very satisfied with all aspects of the project.

It was great doing business with Decathlon Construction. I found them to be a good value while still providing a quality product. There was no over-sale. They took care of all the details including: permits, handling HOA compliance and forms. Jerry Terry took the ideas my wife and I had and came up with a spot on vision of what we wanted. He had great images of similar patio/house combinations so I could visualize the final product. In fact, the final product looked even better than what we had visualized! April Terry kept me updated of the progress and was responsive to my questions when they arose. The crew did a great job with construction and clean-up. The subcontractors were great. I was extremely impressed the the stain subcontractor. If I need something in the future, I would certainly give them a call.

Decathlon Construction is a very professional operation from their first visit to learn about your desires and providing an estimate to the construction and completion and clean up. Jerry was very helpful in developing our vision for our patio cover and April was there to answer questions as well as keeping us updated on the building schedule. We could not be happier with our new patio cover or the experience of working with Decathlon Construction.

Decathlon is very professional. They came up with a beautiful patio design, then went above and beyond throughout the process. We are so happy with our patio. It transformed our backyard into a usable fun space for our family. April and Jerry are truly awesome at what they do. Best contractor we have ever used!

April and Jerry Terry of Decathlon Construction are top notch!! Decathlon created and built an amazing outdoor space for us! The scheduling of all phases of construction was perfectly smooth and communicated very well. Attention was spot on! Crews were courteous, clean and impeccable craftsmanship! We have had many other construction projects over the years with other contractors- those projects were laden with many difficulties. We had none of those issues with Decathlon! You will not be disappointed! I am super picky and they exceeded all my expectations!!

We have worked with Decathlon Construction for both of our backyard projects. Several of our neighbors have contracted with them after seeing our first covered deck seven years ago. Last year we decided to extend the roof to cover the entire deck and tie it all in to the house. We called Jerry and April again because we knew the work would be the highest quality. Again they exceeded our expectations! Every person who worked on our project was polite, thoughtful and skilled. The best and most important thing about Decathlon is that Jerry and April do not consider the job finished until the customer is satisfied. I've been told I'm very "picky." I can usually spot a flaw or defect a mile away! It's a curse because I am rarely satisfied with any contractor's work, but Decathlon never lets me down. Thank you Jerry and April and all of your employees!

Jerry and April Terry, owners of Decathlon Construction, have completed two patio covers, a fence, a concrete walkway, and a deck for us over the years. Every project was completed quickly, on schedule, very professionally, and at a reasonable price. The results always look amazing! Their crews are always very respectful of our property, and leave the site very clean when they're finished. I recommend Decathlon Construction without any reservations.
