I am super sorry to see others' bad experience. I can only speak for myself. I am in DC and this company is in VA. Despite the ridiculous traffic and how busy they were given the heat wave, BISHOP came out immediately to address my A/C issue. They explained in layman's terms what my issues were, how they could be addressed, what the different courses of actions were, and what and how they could help me go about it given my time and financial concerns. I am not only 1000% satisfied but very, very grateful for all the time and care they have put into helping me. THANK YOU BISHOP!

Prompt, knowledgeable service. A/C decided to quit in the middle of a heatwave. A call to them resulted in scheduled service on the same day I called! Two technicians showed up, masked and with booted shoes to save floors. These guys knew the brand, Friedrich, and fixed the problem to my satisfaction in about 30 minutes. Reasonable prices. Put them on your list of service people.

I could not have been more impressed and pleased with the honest, timely, and excellent service I received from George, the Bishop Equipment Corp. service representative who visited our house. Knowledgeable, straightforward, and, above all, spot on with advice. Thank you. I would give them six stars if I could.

The Bishop company has been taking care of the heating and air conditioning home needs of our three families for 30 years as well as at a current business location. They are honest, trustworthy and professional. They have installed new a/c units and have serviced existing ones. Great company.

I’ve been using them for years, now on my second home. Both houses had very old air handlers and furnaces so it was important that I found an honest company. They have always been up front and honest about any issues or repairs. On my previous house they kept a 20 plus year old system running great for the entire time I owned the house. Now on my new house I continue to use them and have even replaced an entire heating and cooling unit. Solid place and they don’t try and take advantage with unnecessary repairs and unsolicited work.

OMG. Bishop saved me! I had a loser HVAC guy come to my house to check my A/C, heat after having Bishop do it for years because a friend said this guy was good. The day after he checked my heat it broke. He came back and spent hours trying to figure out what it was and said it would be REALLY expensive and he would check the price and come back. I had a bad feeling so I called Bishop and they sent someone within the hour. HE WAS FABULOUS. Tan found the problem a sensor filament that should be checked and cleaned when they service your HVAC, which the other Bozo did not do. Tan cleaned it and my heat works perfectly. CHOSE BISHOP-DON'T GET RIPPED OFF. i WON'T STRAY ANY MORE. THANK YOU BISHOP!

We had a commercial A/C unit installed at our shop, FrameMasters, and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Bishop made the entire process incredibly easy—they completed the installation in just one day with zero disruption to our business.

As a small, family-owned company, Bishop truly stands out. Their team is professional, highly experienced, and clearly takes pride in their work. Out of several quotes we received, Bishop’s was by far the most affordable, yet the quality and service exceeded expectations.

If you’re looking for reliable, efficient, and honest HVAC work, we highly recommend Bishop. They were an absolute pleasure to work with and did a fantastic job for us at FrameMasters!

These are the most rude people I have ever dealt with. I will NEVER do business with them. Their phone etiquette is the absolute worse. I wish I could give ZERO stars.

I am a 74 year old disabled customer with a heart condition. On Tuesday of this week I was verbally abused, threatened and frightened by Anthony - one of your techs. I was rude to him when he refused to work on the job. I called Edie as did he. She said”she had to think about what to do” and would call me back. She has NOT and I have been a Nishop client for 40 years plus. Anthony said my floors were “nasty” and he and Tran couldn’t work in a basement where my senior rescue dogs use pee mats. He said my floor wasn’t clean enough and the odor wasn’t tolerable. After his abusive and bullying comments I used the f word as he was leaving. Not my finest hour. Tran put the filter in the furnace and said he was sick because of the pee mats and odor. Anthony should have been wearing the blue booties to cover his shoes but he wasn’t and yelled at me to look at the soles of his shoes. He also “pushed” one of my small dogs with his foot after telling me that he was fine with dogs. After 25 minutes of his taunting me about my housecleaning, my heart was pounding and I was afraid of what would he would do given that he was laughing and abusive. I lost my temper and called Edie. I was very upset and she kept telling me that she wasn’t going to listen to me when she was trying to talk. She said it was a he said, she said situation any that I was the one at fault. Of course, I am the one at fault! I’m 74 and disabled - Anthony is young, strong and threatening. I’ve been your customer as has my family with the “original” Mr. Bishop. In my opinion, I st the very least deserve a phone call as promised by Edie on Tuesday after my second call to her since she said she was going to return first call and did not. She yelled at me that her workers had to be safe and she needed to think about the two sides of the story. She asked what I wanted. I asked her to arrange another service call and that I had washed the offensive floor with Lysol in case a tech could be sent on Tuesday. I’m still waiting. Bishop has always been a good company for us. I’ve never had a complaint. But threatening, abusive behavior by a tech is not acceptable. And I did apologize for the f word as Anthony was walking down the stairs to the truck. I’m sure Edie would be happy to never deal with this situation, but since she told me not to call her for the third time because she needed time “to think”.
    * I hope someone in the Bishop Company reads this. Thank you for making this comment possible.

After waiting for days with NO phone call from this company, I got a mail invoice saying they had done the furnace check Which they had
Not. And due to the unsanitary conditions they could not provide service to my home.

I got NO return call and I think after 50 years of setvice with no problems - I think I at lease deserved one - yes, ONE phone call.

I thought this company was better than this. Clearly, I was wrong.

I had been a loyal customer since 2007 but after yesterday's experience no more. Long story short my furnace went out Tuesday AM. I spoke with Edie and she arranged for George to come out to determine the issue. George explained the issue (inducer assembly) and quoted me a price/estimate for the repair ($461.00). During the same conversation I asked if he had changed the filter and he stated no that he figured I would want the winter service and that can be done when they return for the repair. I was OK with that. I spoke with Edie Tuesday afternoon and ordered the part. Edie called me promptly Wednesday morning and arranged for a noon install. Ben arrived at noon and completed the task. Before Ben left I simply asked him if he had replaced the filter and his response was no because he was not sure if George had replaced it on Tuesday. My response was don't worry about it, I will just do it myself and save the $80.00. Well when I removed the panel to replace the filter there was a bundle of wires and a transformer laying on top of the filter. I have changed the filter many times and this was never the case. I called back to Bishop and attempted to explain to Edie what happened and she was very short and cut me off saying that she will call Ben and have him return. After a minute Edie calls back again and tells me Ben is on his way and that I had asked him to "replace the filter" and he explained to me that was not included in the price of the repair. I attempted to explain to her that this was not the case and I had discussed the Winter service with George. She did not even give me a chance to explain and immediately cut me off by saying that "There's always something with you" and "Next time you can repair your own equipment". I feel that she has probably been there forever and feels that she can treat customers any way. Needless to say, I will not be using Bishop again. I do not need to pay for poor customer service and will take my business elsewhere.
