JL Tree Service did an outstanding job in Vienna VA. The estimator Peter was knowledgeable and made a number of helpful suggestions. The JL crew took down a very large white oak and pruned a large maple to protect my home from possible damage in storm. They cleaned up the yard and the street where huge sections of the trunk were put for pickup the next day. I am very pleased with their work!

By far the best tree service I've ever used. They knew exactly what they were doing with the many trees, they craned the tree around the house with ease. The guys knowledgeable, professional, experienced and it was awesome watching and learning. Hats off to JL Tree Service. They exceeded my expectation and would use them again. I would highly recommend JL Tree Service, you won't be disappointed.

From the initial (estimate) site survey to the final clean-up, the crews who worked on our back and front yards were polite, professional, & patient. It was an extremely hot day and they powered through the heat and humidity. In short, I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone! Our front and backyards look so amazing now! In the backyard, removed small, dead trees, which improved the view from our home. Our front yard was a challenge as they had to remove three, large Oak trees. Kudos to Maria for operating the stump grinder and returning the following day with her teammate on one of the hottest days of the year! She was very thorough on her cleanup too! 😊👏🏻👍🏼 Thank you, JL Tree Service! You guys are THE BEST!

Luis was very easy to work with; I had a quote within 24 hours to take down 2 Pine trees. He and his crew took great care not to cause any issues with the neighbors(trees on property line, only access via neighbor's drive). They set to work immediately on arrival. In 4 hours they had 2 70 ft white pines down, area cleaned and all debris removed. My neighbor was quite pleased with their clean up. I was quite impressed and pleased with their work. I will use them again and recommend them to friends.

The crew from JL Tree Service, Group 29, led by Francis, did an outstanding job at my home in Springfield, Virginia. They safely trimmed massive overhanging branches—some as large as small trees— above my roof and deck, eliminating the danger while preserving the tree’s natural shape and health.

This was extensive, complex work that required a crane, a large chipper and expert knowledge of trees. Their coordination, communication, and respect for the property were exceptional. You could truly tell they take pride in their work. The team was professional, efficient, and left the area completely clean.

A special thanks to Bill for his earlier visit and for coordinating so this crew could complete the work smoothly. I highly recommend JL Tree Service and this outstanding team.

I’m writing this 10 days after the stumps were ground out and the wood chip piles have still not been removed. If you’re looking for quick service, I’d suggest elsewhere. However, the tree removal crew and crane operator were highly skilled and did a very careful and complete job removing my trees. Ronnie who coordinates the tree removal and Sarah in the front office are both very communicative and responsive. It was a great customer experience until now, and there still has been no date scheduled for removing the wood chips.

I returned to JL Tree Service because I had used them a couple of years ago and previously received great service. Unfortunately, my recent experience was completely different.

I initially submitted a quote request through their website and received a confirmation email stating that an arborist would contact me within 1–3 business days to schedule an estimate. After hearing nothing for 7 business days, I called the office myself. I was apologized to and told someone would contact me shortly.

The following day, I finally received a call. The person I spoke to seemed rushed, but we ended up scheduling an appointment for a Friday between 11:30 AM and 12:00 PM. I took time off work for the appointment, but no one showed up, and I never received a call or notification that they would be late or unable to make it.

I contacted the office again and was told they would look into the issue and follow up with me. It has now been several business days, and I still have not heard back from anyone.

Based on this experience, the company’s level of customer service appears to have declined significantly from what it once was. Unfortunately, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.
