All reviews for Top Notch Tree Service

I called Top Notch to get a quote. Chad came over within the hour to check it out. The price was very fair and his crew did an amazing job!

WOW. We used Top Notch to remove three trees from our backyard. One was a very tall Virginia Pine located near a pool. I cannot be happier with the work that was done. There is no evidence that they were even here. They did not use any equipment that would hurt my lawn, they cleaned up EVERYTHING after themselves, and the price was VERY reasonable for the work that was done. I HIGHLY recommend Chad and his crew for any tree removal that you may need.

I can’t say enough great things about Top Notch Tree Service! From start to finish, the entire experience was professional, efficient, and stress-free. The team was punctual, respectful of our property, and incredibly skilled at what they do. They handled our tree removal with precision and left the yard spotless afterward—it was like they were never even there! Communication was clear throughout the process, and the price was very fair for the high-quality work. I highly recommend Top Notch Tree Service to anyone in need of tree care—you won’t be disappointed!

I needed 3 trees taken down. 6", 40' pine that was leaning over a playground, 6" 20' gum tree and 8" 50' gum tree threatening my septic system. After calling, Chad came over in 2 days. A week later, he came back. A mini-skidder with extended grappling hooks was used for a risk free removal. Trees and brush were removes. Took about an hour. I would not hesitate in calling him for future tree removals.

Title: A Breath of Fresh Air: Top Notch Tree Service Review

In the world of tree services, it's not often you come across a company that truly stands out. But that's exactly what Top Notch Tree Service, led by the commendable Chad, does.
His company are the epitome of professionalism, delivering their services in a neat, tidy, and swift manner.
What sets them apart is their commitment to cleanliness. After they've done their magic, they ensure the area is as clean as it was before they arrived, if not cleaner. But what truly makes them shine is their honesty and integrity.
They are fully licensed and insured, a testament to their commitment to providing legitimate and reliable services.
In contrast to a previous experience I had with another company, which I later found out was operating without a license, Chad and his team were a breath of fresh air. They swooped in like superheroes, ready to save the day, and that's exactly what they did.
I wholeheartedly recommend Top Notch Tree Service to anyone in need of a reputable, licensed, and insured company. With them, you're not just getting a service, you're getting peace of mind.
The owner, Chad, is not just friendly and professional, but also honest and reliable. In a world where these qualities can be hard to find, Chad and his team at
Top Notch Tree Service are truly a cut above the rest.

I highly recommend Too Notch Tree Service to anyone who wants quick, professional, cleanliness, and affordable. Chad came for my estimate the same day I called. He not only gave me the estimate, but also gave me his plan of execution since my trees were in a confined location. Two days later his team came ready to work. Within 3 hours my two large trees were gone. The crew cleaned the area so well, you wouldn’t even know they were there. Well, except there are 2 missing trees. If you need and tree service call them. Trust me you will not regret it. As of pricing, I got 4 estimates for the same work and none could even come close to what I paid.

Before and after of 1. Maple tree removal and 2. Birch tree Trim. Top Notch Tree Service was amazing!! On time, efficient, safe, friendly, and fairly priced! They didn’t leave so much as a leaf behind; they even skimmed out what fell into my pool! I highly recommend them!!! 785-TREE

Extremely professional and courteous. They removed a very difficult tree keeping safety in mind with no further damage. Punctual and efficient. The cleaning up was impeccable. Pricing was very reasonable and fair. Their name says it all.. definitely Top Notch.

I can't say enough good things, Chad and his team where amazing. He replied quickly and my tree was cleared away per my request. They left the site perfectly clean and Chad answered all my questions about other trees. I will recommend and definitely use again for future needs.

I recently hired Top Notch Tree Company for a tree cutting project, and I couldn’t be more impressed with their service! From the initial consultation to the final cleanup, the team was professional, efficient, and extremely knowledgeable.

One of the things I appreciated most was their excellent communication. They kept me informed every step of the way. It really made the whole experience stress-free and smooth.

They arrived on time and handled the job with care and precision. We had 5 large oak trees taken down. Three were close to my house, and they removed them safely without any damage to my property. They even cut a small tree and ground an extra stump at no extra cost!

What really stood out was how clean they left the yard—no debris, no mess, just a beautifully cleared space. Their pricing was fair, and the quality of work was outstanding.

I highly recommend Top Notch Tree Service to anyone in need of reliable and skilled tree cutting services. They truly went above and beyond!

Chad and his crew are professional. They completed the project efficiently and carefully. Also, I greatly appreciated their willingness to work with my schedule. I would definitely recommend Top Notch for any new or seasoned homeowner.

We’ve used Top Notch Tree Service of Fredericksburg three times now, and they have been amazing every single time! Their crew is always so professional, friendly, and hardworking. They show up on time, get the job done quickly, and honestly go above and beyond to make sure everything looks perfect.

Each time we’ve hired them, they’ve left our yard looking better than ever and always clean up so well you’d never even know they were there. It’s such a relief knowing we can count on them to do the best job, every time.

We’re so glad we found Top Notch Tree Service of Fredericksburg and wouldn’t call anyone else. Highly recommend!

Top Notch was easy to work with right from the beginning. They gave us a quick & very reasonable estimate. We scheduled within 2 weeks of the estimate. They did a wonderful job taking down the tree in front of our townhouse & grinding the stump - they were professional, efficient & there was no damage. Everything was performed as promised. Even payment was easy.

Phenomenal job by Top Notch today on a large tree in my front yard. You would never even know there was a tree there before! They were timely, efficient and professional. I will definitely be using this company in the future. Thank you!

Chad and his crew truly are top notch! As a fairly new home owner of a property with many mature trees and an avid tree lover, I have interviewed many tree removal companies to ensure that we are hiring the right company to perform work on our property. Chad came out to our house the day after I contacted him to provide us with an estimate to remove a tree that was dropping limbs close to our home. Not only did Chad provide us with a fair estimate, but he went above and beyond and assisted us with trying to get our new chainsaw working and provided us with recommendations for a different product and dealer. Top Notch is a fair and honest company servicing the local community and exceeding expectations. Chad’s crew was exemplarily. One request the day that the crew came out was that we try to preserve the two tiny rose of sharons that were incredibly close to the tree that they were cutting down. It was a tall order since the trees were feet away from the 100 year old maple
that they were taking down, but they were cognizant of my request and those trees are still standing after the tree removal. Chad and his crew are professionalism, friendly, and considerate. Before he left our house, I asked for his advice about our wooded property (we have many, many trees) and he provided us with great advice and again another fair estimate. I am thankful to have found a local company providing fair estimates with great customer service that I feel comfortable performing work on our property.

Chad and his team came out after the tornado-like storm that came through part of Fredericksburg recently. We still had the top of a tree blocking part of our driveway that we just didn't have time to take care of and we just don't have the equipment to haul away.
They cleaned that up, trimmed several large hanging limbs (from some very tall oaks), and cleaned up all the debris from the yard.
Chad's team wears a uniform and protective gear, something you don't always see. We were completely confident that our property was safe and secure. It's obvious he takes care of his team and his equipment.
Highly recommend!!

I couldn’t have been more pleased with the results we received from Chad and his crew. Knowing they have the right equipment to ensure trees or branches can be removed without worrying about our house or garage was reassuring. Their cost was very reasonable and they did a great job cleaning up after themselves. I will definitely reach out to them the next time we need those services.

When looking for a tree service that is close to the house, you have to be careful.

I saw their work at a neighbor and decided to give them a shot. Absolutely not disappointed.

Thoroughly discussed our situation and what to do. Very professional and did a great job.

The guys knew what they were doing, very careful about what they did and cleaned up very well.

Highly recommended.

Chad Kearns and Top Notch Tree were amazing! They went above and beyond to assist us in a timely manner with amazing customer service.

The work they did exceeded our expectations! I would highly recommend their services to anyone needing tree work done!

Fast, friendly and affordable!

Had Top Notch back for a 3rd time to cut two ~50 foot trees. One was a cedar tree and the other was a holly. Thank you Top Notch Tree Service for your Top Notch, professional, timely, & courteous service. Chad and his crew arrived right on time and got right to work. There were power lines, cable lines, garages, stone benches, and shrubbery all in their way, and this was in a downtown Fredericksburg city lot which is only 37' wide. With no path to get the Cherry-Picker in the Top Notch crew had to climb both trees and by using rope lower each limb and trunk. Quite spectacular work to watch and behold. I highly recommend Top Notch. For sure everyone should at a minimum get an estimate from them before choosing a tree service.

Had Top Notch back to cut another tree that was growing over the house. All Top Notch was excellent to work with and they did great work. They were prompt in returning my call, prompt with the free estimate, and prompt with scheduling me. I had an ~40 foot tree removed that hung over my house and the stump ground. They expertly cut the tree down and kept all branches away from the house. They cleaned up the yards and even took a leaf blower to the roof and porches to ensure everything was cleaned. Then they raked the yard and left it looking great. Hire them!!

All Top Notch Tree Services returned my calls in a timely manner. Came to the house to give 2 estimates because I changed my mind on which trees to cut. Chad is the owner & he is very personable and professional. The are BBB rated with insurance. We live downtown in the city of Fredericksburg where all the houses are tight (35' width backyards). We had 6 trees to cut any where from 30' to 70' all within 3'-5' of a house or garage where many of the larger branches were hanging over the structures. They took all 6 trees down without the slightest scratch or mark on either of the houses or garage. They did a great job & I would highly recommend them to anybody for a small or big job. Once done they cleaned up everything

Top Notch Tree service did a wonderful job removing several big trees and grinding the stumps and roots. They also did a good job with clean up. Chad (the owner) was easy to work with. His workers were courteous and efficient. I would highly recommend this company.
