I have had multiple excellent experiences with Southern Electrical and would recommend them to anyone needing electrical services in the Northern VA area. I came across them because the previous owners of my home hired them to address with some electrical issues that were discovered during the home inspection when we were buying the house. Southern did a nice job with that work, so I decided to call them up when I needed some lamp sconces wired and installed as part of a living room remodeling project. Again, they did a fantastic job (unfortunately don’t remember the names of the specific electricians that did the work but they were great). Most recently, they sent Mark to help replace about 20 receptacles/outlets which had become loose over the years and wouldn’t hold plugs anymore. Once more, the work was done professionally, within a reasonable price and time frame. Brandon is always helpful with quotes/estimates and Erica is always friendly and professional with scheduling. Again, Southern is top notch and you should definitely check them out if you need electrical work performed.

We just used Southern Electrical to replace 2 hanging lights, one in our dining room and one in our kitchen. They were great. On time, polite, did a great job installing the lights and didn't leave a mess. We'll definitely use them again. The price was reasonable too.

I have used Southern Electric on several occasions in 2024. The level of customer service provided by everyone I encountered was outstanding. They were on time and made sure I was completely satisfied along the way.

My electrician was Travis and Kevin was my coordinator. These guys truly understand customer service. From the first call to SESCOS to my callback from Kevin, to Travis showing up I was super impressed. It's so refreshing to work with a company which hasn't lost the service-orientation. Professional, knowledgeable, friendly, honest, and empathetic. Everyone can learn something from this group!! I have many more projects waiting for them :-) Thanks guys! You are a blessing.

Very smooth process to install ceiling fans. Jacob (Jake) came out and was super friendly and answered any questions I had during the install. If I had my own company I'd 100% want an employee like him

Highly recommend and would use Southern Electric again. They were able to send a tech to my house within about 48 hours. Mark quickly diagnosed issues with multiple exterior outlets and light fixtures that had no power. He found a hidden GFI the previous owners covered with drywall that was tripped and needed to be replaced. Everything fixed within a couple hours and reasonably priced.

Brandon came out and gave me an estimate to run a line for a hot tub. Very polite and professional. A few days later the owner called me and followed up and thanked me for being a first responder. It’s important to me that I support local businesses that support our community. So that meant a lot to me. The guys that came out to do the work were also very polite. They had to cut a few holes in the drywall and were very careful and covered up my furniture with tarps. The fished job looked nice and clean. Highly recommend Southern Electrical. Will use them in the future for my electrical needs.

Brandon was incredibly personable, professional, and skilled. He has a very patient demeanor and is good at explaining things so that they make sense and I am able to have confidence that the work being done is of top quality work and I am able to have peace of mind throughout the whole process. It is so nice to have people I can trust and who I can talk to working on my house. Their level of friendliness and professionalism is top notch and I will absolutely use Southern Electric in the future!

Travis is fantastic! He installed an EV level 2 charger at our home. He was prompt, professional, kind ( I have an energetic dog), explained each step of the process, efficient, and went above and beyond to fix a draft coming in at the electrical box that I was unaware of. This is the second project we have used Southern Electrical for and we are extremely pleased with everything. Brandon is our service manager - we want to thank him as well for his professionalism and taking extra good care of us.

Brandon was amazing! We needed last minute service and he bent over backwards to schedule us as soon as possible. Reasonably priced , we needed a custom setup for a drying barn. They worked with my husband and came up with a plan on the fly. Months later we wanted to say, the drying barn performed perfectly and the custom setup Southern Electric did exceeded all expectations! 6 out of 5 stars if I could. We will ALWAYS use Southern Electric for future projects or anything around our property. Thank You Brandon and the entire team at Southern Electric who helped give us exactly what we were looking for. They SAVED THE DAY!

Trevor and his team did a really nice job putting up our chandeliers and installing a lift for the one in the entry way.

Southern Electric as always made good on promises and been there in a pinch. You can shop around and think you found something better, but your really not getting a better deal. Good service is tough to find and Southern Electric continues to stand out from the rest.

Vinny and his helper have done a fantastic job on multiple projects for my home! From adding ceiling lights to additional outlets, they are very knowledgeable and caring!

Been working with Brandon for several years now and he’s always been nothing but professional and treats you like a good friend. The entire company is ethical and deeply cares about it customers. Even if they charged higher prices, I’d still choose them over the competition.

I called Southern Electrical to install an exterior outlet for my home. Their technician Travis, was very friendly and professional as I showed him my electrical panel and where I wanted the box located. I let him know I really wanted 2 outlets, but was concerned about the cost so may need to schedule the second one for another time. He was able to get both installed quickly and efficiently saving me time and money! He did a wonderful job right down to the last detail. And to make things even better, they offer discounts for seniors and military! Working with Travis was a great experience. His customer service was excellent. It's nice to see someone who enjoys their job and does it well.

We have used Southern Electrical for lots of projects for our home in Fredericksburg, VA. The guys are professional, polite, and knowledgeable. They arrive on time, explain what they are doing, answer questions and clean up. We have recommended Southern Electric to all our neighbors and friends. We will continue to call them for all our electrical upgrades.
