We had a total of 5 estimates for replacement of a heat pump and air handler for our townhouse. We found a wide range of prices, as much as $800 between them. We chose Trademasters, which was in the middle of that range, in part because they installed a furnace/ a/c in another home for us and have done fall and springs checks since then. They had always been easy to work with and schedule. That system is still working well. We had the townhouse checked out when we purchased it. David was the technician. He did a great job, explained everything about the heat pump and air handler, what potential problems we might have and the new R-ratings for coolant. The hardware was very dated (1985 and 2004), so when it had problems later, we had Trademastesr prepare an estimate. The estimator, Shane, like David, gave us cogent and detailed information and explained what he thought our best choices were. Chris (crew leader), Stephen, and Luis did the installation. They called ahead, were on time (early, even), watched out that the muddy outside did not come inside, even put up with the rambunctious puppy with grace. They worked straight through until the work was done and the house was heated, just before the unusual very cold spell that occurred in November 2019. Kudos to all of them. We would fully recommend Trademasters.

We had a fantastic experience with Trademasters installing a ductless 1-room hvac system in our basement. They were extremely responsive and helpful, explained everything, charged a reasonable price, and gave us exactly what we were looking for. Great service, great product, great value.

We just had two complete systems installed and we couldn't be happier with the whole process. Installation crew was top notch and very clean. Would highly recommend this company.

I contacted Trademasters for my toilet repair and they immediately put me on the calendar for the next day. Phil came to my condo and was able to fix he problem without issue. He was extremely professional and wonderful to work with on this issue. I’ve been a customer for 20 years and will continue to work with this company. Excellent experience!

Trade Masters gave me a great deal on a new HVAC system. They were professional, responsive and always on time. When there was an issue after the initial installation, they were here to address it in a couple of hours. This is the kind of company that you want to do business with.

This week, we had our hot water heater replaced by Trademasters. We are long time clients of this company and, after pricing different providers for this installation, we decided to have them accomplish the job. Devon was our technician and I was so impressed, I sent a message to the company! Devon was not only very capable and efficient, but just such a great guy! He went way above and beyond helping me to clear the area around the hot water heater location, was kind and thoughtful and just a joy to have about for the duration of a pretty complicated job. I highly recommend Trademasters after years of dealing with this company, and I certainly recommend Devon Houston as one of their best representatives! My sincere thanks for a job well done!! 😀

My kitchen sink was taking very long to drain. Phil and Devon were the Plumbers that came to my home and they were so personable. Their work ethic was fantastic and you can tell they care about the work they do. The customer service was also amazing. I spoke to Sarah and Ashley from their office and they were very polite and helpful. Very impressed with TradeMasters!

These guys are amazing. I hired them to replace my furnace after getting a few other quotes, and they were the lowest by about $300. They also let me know that Washington Gas would give me a $300 rebate, which no other HVAC contractor mentioned, and even filled out the paperwork for me.

I didn't feel like the salesperson was trying to sell me anything extra and I even got a better brand furnace (Trane) than your typical builder quality furnace.

The install was quick and everyone spoke English, which I only mention because I tend to ask a lot of questions. Trademasters sent a QC inspector the following week, who caught a small mistake in the installation and fixed it immediately. He also replaced one of my breakers with a 15A breaker, which was needed because City of Alexandria codes don't allow for 20A breakers any more for my size furnace. They even mailed me some cookies afterwards! Ridiculously good company.

They had the most competitive price for the best unit, but the thing that sets them apart is the attention to detail and pride in their work. They created a custom wood box to mount the HVAC unit and had the best readings after installation. I was incredibly impressed with their work and can honestly say I’m looking forward to having them install a new unit upstairs, as well, once that in fails. This is truly a local company that cares about their community.

Do not waste your time going anywhere else. If you need a repair or replacement done in your home and want folks who truly care about fixing the issue at hand without selling you into unnecessary nonsense - this is the company. I am floored by everyone that helped out, from Jamie & Ashley who were understanding, friendly, and quick with quotes, to Devon & Phil who were beyond incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Not only did they diagnose and fix the issue, but they also gave super helpful tips for maintenance. They actually care and that is really rare to find nowadays. I feel relieved and secure that I can go to Trademasters in the future knowing I will 100% be getting the best service done by the best people in the entire area. So incredibly thankful for you guys thank you again!!!

We have used Trademasters for almost 25 years. Their service is excellent and timely. We have never had a problem requesting emergency service. They are always accommodating. We recently contracted with Trademasters for a new furnace, air conditioner and hot water tank. All three jobs were done on time on the day they were scheduled. They were in and out in a few hours. There have been no followup issues. A job well done by the Trademasters staff.

Trademasters is a great company. I have dealt with them for HVAC needs over the last couple of years. I can't speak highly enough about them. In particular, Shane who was fantastic in helping us pick our new system. Shane is very knowledgeable and patient. He didn't use any aggressive sales tactics at all. He answered all my emails in a timely manner, even though I'm sure they were annoying. I had a ton of questions! But it didn't bother him at all, at least in his responses back lol. Shane and the folks at Trademasters are top notch and I will surely be saving their contact info for any future needs.

I'm giving Trademasters five stars thanks to the five-star service we received. We recently had our ancient (and dead) HVAC unit replaced by this company and the quality of work was excellent! Also, the staff worked with a high level of professionalism.

From our initial estimate meeting with Shane, I was very comfortable with his knowledge and was confident that they could do the job, which wasn't and easy one due to the age of our previous unit and the orientation of it. Shane gave a competitive quote and we decided on Trademasters largely due to his understanding of the situation and his experience.

The staff worked from 7 am to 4 pm. It was an all-day job, but they got the work done earlier than previously estimated. Safety precautions were definitely taken and the technicians kept their masks on for the duration of the work, which alleviated any concerns. Once that air conditioning kicked it, relief was granted! Payment was easy as well and the office staff did a great job coordinating everything.

What a good experience this was! Shane was responsive, clear, and prompt. The installation crew was friendly, efficient, and very easy to talk to. They seemed proud of their work and eager to explain it. They worked for 6.5 hours without a break and cleaned up well. We went from initial inquiry to system installed in about 10 days and had it not been for our schedule, it could have been sooner.

The people at Trademasters came to install a new AC unit after the old one didn't produce any cold air anymore. They were professional, well mannered, and kept me informed about what they were doing. One thing that impressed me was a master HVAC person overseeing the entire operation. This gave me piece of mind that the job was being done correctly. Finally, their prices were several hundred dollars less than their competitors. I am very happy with my new AC unit and will be using them for all of my future AC needs

Trademasters is one of the best companies I have ever dealt with when it came to HVAC installation. Their staff is great, highly responsive and straightforward when it comes to what your house needs. I needed a new AC and furnace installed at my house and from the time that Shane came out to give me the estimate, everything was ordered and installed within roughly a week. They go over everything with you and make sure that you understand how each component works. Great company.

I call Trademasters for everything to do with heating, air conditioning and plumbing. They installed my hot water heater and Ben, Pedro and Tyler were very professional, friendly and informative. I've had various technicians service my A/C and heat. They check up after the appointment to make sure I'm still good and satisfied. The schedulers are super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Trademasters for all A/C, heating and plumbing needs!!
