Made two appointments with this company and the technician failed to show up for either. Do not contact this company if you actually need a service.

Contractor sent by home warranty and they left without offering to add coolant. Poor customer service

I was renewing the passport of the woman who worked in the office. She was a woman, and there was no respect for the person. Then I called the police to make a report, and these people are not fit to serve people in this place.

NOVA-HVAC was assigned to me by my home warranty company to repair my furnace. The technician pointed to the burner and told me that the heat exchanger was cracked and the furnace needed to be replaced. The home warrant company would cover the replacement but the technician stated that I would have to pay an additional $2,000 for him to modify the existing electrical and gas connections. The technician didn’t actually examine the heat exchanger. He didn’t disassemble the furnace to view to heat exchanger.

I requested a second opinion from the home warranty company and the second company confirmed that the heat exchanger was not cracked. The circuit board was broken and causing the issue.

I contracted with NOVA HVAC, LLC, through American Home Shield (AHS), to repair my HVAC system because it was running constantly. A repairman named Alex (Alex was courteous and punctual) came to my home to repair the unit. Upon inspection, he informed me that a part needed to be ordered and it would take approx. 1 week. After more than a week, I received notification from AHS that another contractor was now assigned to my repair claim. When I called to ask why, I was told that NOVA HVAC requested that it be transferred because they don’t work on this HVAC model. It would have been professional of them to notify me of that first. To date, no one from the company has called or responded to my phone message. I do NOT recommend that you use this company.

Just as the last reviewer we have the useless home warranty that works with this company to avoid any responsibility and fix a problem. Our AC isn’t working. The techs told us it needs to be replaced but also told us that their supervisor would not approve it and keep trying to fix an unfixable problem. They have been back to the Josie 5 times via Home Shield but don’t pick up their own phone and their mailbox is always full. They don’t report anything to home shields and just “complete” work done without doing any work. Don’t use this company, don’t use home shield. Both are a scam and should be shut down

I cannot recommend against this company enough. Believe the low ratings (except the passport one, that’s just weird).
If I would, I would give 0 stars…. And a NEGATIVE rating for American Homeshield Warranties.
We scheduled a service call through AHS because our AC is not cooling our house below 77 degrees. The scheduling process went fine (the lady was very nice), and the tech even showed up when he was supposed to show on Friday. So far so good, right?
Yeah no…. The tech looked at the unit for five minutes and said that the coolant was overfilled, so he removed some…
Then… we got to watch as our thermostat climbed up to 87 degrees by 10pm!!!
These guys are closed on weekends.
Tried calling AHS, and they wanted to send these guys back out… hard no.
We called another company on Saturday and they were out the same day. Basically, to fix the coolant mistake and do the services that needed to be done in the first place, we got a nice quote of $1100.
The adage of, “you get what you pay for” applies here. Unfortunately, there is no shortcutting HVAC costs.
Do yourself a favor and just call a reputable company first and cancel that “home warranty”. It is a scam.

I’ve been waiting for one week to get my furnace repair estimate details. The company sent the information to American Home Shield stating $3,300 of modifications needed for electrical and ductwork. After calling again today they still have not sent many any details on what the estimates are for. Then reading the reviews I see the same thing they were saying about my furnace they did to another customer. This is unacceptable I have requested a 2nd opinion.

American Home Shield selected NoVA HVAC to repair our HVAC. A full 10 days went by before I could get a hold of anyone at the company. They apologized and scheduled me for the following day, and no one showed up again and they stopped answering their phones. I was finally able to get a new vendor through American Home Shield.
