Good afternoon! I have been a customer of Alex and Son Contractors since 2016. They repaired the area between my house and the screened in porch, that had started to separate. In addition, they coated my metal roof after that job completed.
Recently, I was in need of help to repair the subfloor that joined my kitchen/dining room, replace the flooring in the kitchen.
I made the call, and a couple of days later Carlos arrived as scheduled, assessed the problem. He submitted a proposal, that was very detailed and affordable. The crew arrived on the scheduled date ( on time ) and the work was done safely and professionally!
I will not hesitate to give Alex and Son a call in the future for the projects that I have planned!

Alex and his sons Daniel and Carlos just finished a whole- house window replacement job for us. It wasn’t easy because each window (29 of them) had to be custom-fitted. Their work is meticulous- always cleaned up after themselves and the windows look absolutely amazing. I am already thinking of other projects to hire them for!

This team was absolutely amazing. Even when I ordered the wrong doors they devised a plan and made it work. They were quick and complete multiple projects at my moms house in just two days. Professional. Fast. And their attention to detail was above and beyond. Highly recommended and I am referring them to friends and will be using them at my house as well.

Alex and Son did a terrific job on our window replacement project. They expertly removed nearly 30 failing aluminum windows and replaced them with Andersen 100 series windows. They had to do some woodwork to make the windows fit, and they also built a bay window on our kitchen. Their work was meticulous, and the results are spectacular. Their estimate was very reasonable. Carlos and Daniel were a pleasure to work with! We have other work to do in our house, and we intend to use them again. Strongly recommended!

I only post reviews when I am exceptionally pleased or exceptionally displeased with a service provider or retailer. Alex and Son Contractors falls in the category of being exceptionally pleased. My regular contractor for our Richmond rental properties moved to Florida. I wound up doing a Google search and looking at these Google reviews and took a shot on this company based on those reviews. My primary point of contact was Daniel. He and his team were punctual for the initial estimate appointments as well as the later work schedule. We had a number of things we needed done, including rebuilding the front porch, columns, and under structure on our older Union Hill rental home. We also needed the aluminum rubber coating redone on the difficult to access roof. Lastly, we were looking at a new privacy fence for the backyard and painting of the front area along with repair of various damaged siding. Daniel and his team gave what we considered to be a fair estimate of charges for this work. They completed all the work in a professional and timely manner. Along the way they also brought to our attention several areas that needed attention, and that were leading to structural damage that we were not aware of. These observations were astute, and I never felt that I was being up sold for work not necessary. The long and short of it is that I have become very comfortable with this company and now have used them on additional properties that we have in the Richmond area. I wholeheartedly recommend Alex and Son contractors.

Really nice people, Daniel was very quick and responsive. Professional, nice manners, a pleasure to work with. We had some damage to an interior door frame, in a historic home in the museum district, and they were able to repair it back to its original appearance. They fit us in the same week we were given our quote, were reasonable in price, and even painted the trim without charge. Very thankful for their service, would definitely book again! Thank you!

We had a great experience with Carlos and his team. They helped us figure out the right layout and products to convert our garage into a bonus room. They were great dealing with the county on permits and inspections and were super responsive to any of our questions or requests. They did a fantastic job! We will definitely use them again.
