All reviews for Walt's Tree & Stump Removal

I called and spoke to Walter about tree limbs and he provided valuable advice that would save me money. I am very thankful and appreciated the information that I was given. I highly recommend this company.

Great communication and service from Walt's Tree & Stump Removal. I was looking for a company that offered service near my home in Bethel Lakes in Hampton, I was very pleased to hear back from them so quickly. The crew showed up and took care of the removal of stumps and trees quoted without any issues.
Highly recommended!

Walt was very professional and transparent with his availability and pricing. I live in Newport News and pretty much down the street from Walt's so after getting a fair quote himself and Corey arrived the very next morning right on time at 0830 to grind a 2' diameter stump in our front yard. Fast, efficient and professional. Would highly recommend and use Walt's services again. Thanks Walt and Corey, enjoy the rest of your summer and stay busy and safe.

Called Walt to come out to my place in Newport News. Walts team did a great job with trimming some branches on two big oaks I had that were threatening the house. They even removed some extra dead wood branches in the trees they found that were not included in the original quote for no extra charge. They were focused on making sure I was happy with the final product and cleaned up well after they were done cutting. I would recommend giving Walt a call.

Walt and his crew are an amazing very motivated team and very professional crew and for taking down a big and tall pine and trimming/cutting back a lot of limbs, the price was great! They even cleaned up a heavy brush area while they were at it and that was a big help for me. Me and my family now have a piece of mind knowing that we no longer have a tree and limbs leaning over our house especially during storms. We definitely plan on calling them back for more work soon!

Prompt to provide an estimate. Price was very reasonable. Walt and his crew were on time, professional, safety conscious and thorough. They were even meticulous in cleaning up when finished. I couldn’t have asked for better.

Walt the owner responded quickly in giving us an estimate. We hired him on the spot! Very professional. His team completed the job exactly how we asked. Price was very reasonable & cleaned the site of debris after job was completed. We would definitely hire again!

Walt is great! I filled out the form online for a free estimate, he called me a few hours later and came out the very next morning to give an estimate. He was very thorough in looking everything over and explaining exactly what he would (and would not be) able to do for our tree removal. He was very detailed and made sure I understood exactly what they would be doing. He was able to do our job the very next day. The price he gave us was excellent, it was 1/3 of the price we got from another company. Walt was very nice, professional, and definitely knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

Our experience with Walter Tree & Stump Removal was very good. We are very pleased with their service and they were 2 very kind and caring men. We would recommend them to everyone that needed tree service.

We have lived in our house in Yorktown for close to 30 years. So, over the years we hired several businesses to trim our very tall pine trees in our front and back yard.
Walt's Tree and Stump Removal is by far the best business with have worked with.
My husband and I knew that Walt was an honest broker when we asked him to look at our trees in the backyard and he said they really didn't need trimming.
He discussed which branches needed trimming in our front yard. Walt was very good at accommodating our tight schedule. He came that exact time agreed and had all the equipment needed for such a job.
My husband and I like to try and hire local businesses because they are the bread and butter of our communities. We were very pleased with Walt's knowledge, professionalism and reasonable costs.
Lastly, he was very pleasant to work with.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company for anyone needing these types of services.

I Highly recommend Walts's Tree & Stump. Walt gave a a very fair bid to remove 3 trees and trim several others on my property, some of it was very tricky work close to fences, sheds etc. On game day he showed up with a professional crew, all the right equipment and knocked the job out beautifully Walt's my tree guy.

Walt did an excellent job pruning an overgrown tree at my home. Upon contacting him, Walt came out quickly to provide me with my options and provide a quote for service and quickly got me scheduled. Walt is professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. He and his crew did an excellent job at my home and I highly recommend this company to others in need of similar services.

We had Walt’s clean up our trees and shrubs. They went above and beyond our expectations with service, professionalism, and communication! Highly recommend!

They did an incredible job! From communication all the way to clean up. Very quick to responding, personable, and quick to do the job and clean up. On short notice they were able to come to Newport News Denbigh area and within three hours (I'm sure depending on your situation it may be less or a bit more time) took down a large Oak tree and ground the stump. After tree and stump removal and cleanup the ground was nice and leveled! Due to their professionalism, top notch quality of work, and constant communication I would highly recommend Walt's to anyone in need of tree or stump removal! or Both!

Fair estimate/pricing and fast/efficient removal of a very large tree at my home in Yorktown. Also, thank you for going above and beyond with communication between my neighbors and I, so that we were all on the same page and this job impacted their property as well. I’ll finally be able to get my dream fence installed now! Thank you so much!

Walt's Tree & Stump Removal was very prompt and truly cared about my project. Came when he said he would, and helped me with the details of what mattered to the three trees I was wanting to remove, and make it look like they were never there. Not being in the industry or doing this type of thing often, I was in good hands, and felt very educated on the process and knew what to expect from Walt through the steps and process.
Very professional, and I recommend starting with Walt.

Walt and his crew did a great job pruning some large oak branches that were over my house. Great job!

Had Walt's Tree & Stump Removal come out and remove a ton of tree stumps today in Newport News. Even with the threat of bad weather, they were able to get the job done, which we very much appreciate! We had a bunch of small to medium stumps removed. I highly recommend Walt's Tree & Stump Removal! When we remove some big trees in our yard later this year, we will definitely be having them back out!

Walt’s Tree and Stump Removal provided excellent care to my shrubbery. I had a 30 year-old Burford Holly hedge that I had lost control of three years prior, about 20 feet tall. There also were several out of control Verbena about the same age. Walt and his crew were able to thin out and top all of these out of control shrubs, thoughtfully and carefully. they appear much healthier and happier now than prior. I would comfortably recommend their management for similar issues.

Walt is a true professional, came out evaluated my needs and offered a very reasonable price. Arrived shortly after his ETA, took all precautions to protect our property and cleaned up afterwards. Will use him again as the need arises.

Walt and his team did a fantastic job. The price was very fair, and he brought a big crew that removed 9 trees and bushes and ground 11 stumps in half a day! They listened to my special requests to avoid the water and electricity lines. They tidied up very neatly and left us a beautiful yard.
