James was a pleasure to work with. He completed the job on short notice and happily accommodated several changes. We plan to hire him to do several more projects.

James was quick to respond to my inquiry about removing fluorescent lights to open up the ceiling and install new lighting in my kitchen. He kept me informed of a minor delay in getting the light fixtures he thought would work best for my project. He was careful to keep the floor covered and the work area draped off from the rest of my kitchen to contain the dust from cutting holes and sanding areas he had patched in the ceiling. To complete the project he did a great job painting the area without drips or streaks. He took the time to clean up the work area before leaving. I'm extremely happy with the way the project turned out, and would not hesitate to have him do other work for me.

James & Genessa are the best! They are super knowledgeable ,helpful and very professional to work with. Their quality of work speaks for them. I would recommend this company to do all of your remodeling needs.

I absolutely love my remodel and the design made by Genessa and the follow through by James. Remodeling is such a stressful process and they did everything to keep me close to the original schedule and took the stress off my plate! I would recommend them to anyone going through a remodel.

James is the most competent, communicative, dedicated contractor I've ever had the pleasure of working with! He always listened to my needs and requests and then reiterated them back to me in writing, was incredibly responsive in all communications, respectful of current COVID-19 protocols, and took the time to ensure I was always happy with the work performed. He outdid himself with our pre-move in project, and we were thrilled with the results; working under a super tight deadline and within our very specific aesthetic requirements, he and his team really knocked it out of the park. I had total faith and trust in him and given he is so respectful and kind, it was completely painless to give him unfettered access to my home while I was 45 minutes away and unable to oversee progress. Don't hesitate, this guy is the real deal and the quality of work is top notch. We are already talking about our next project together!

Great company! James is always on top of things and easy to communicate with. His subcontractors are very professional and always friendly and prompt. He really cares about giving you what you want and expect. We’ve had some lousy experiences with contractors in the past, wouldn’t think of using anyone else but James Massey Services for future projects!

James and his crew went above and beyond what was asked of them to do. They were incredibly mindful of our house and treated it as if it were their own. We were incredibly impressed with the high quality of work that James and his crew does. They take no short cuts! Whenever we had a question or concern, James always responded in a prompt and timely manner. He was very patient and accommodating if there was a setback in scheduling. My wife and I give him our highest recommendation and look forward to doing business with him in the future.

James is like a brother who takes of everything! We had a run of bad luck with a pipe leak in our garage that shared a wall with our hall closet. Drywall and closet floor needed to be replaced. Previous water damage cleaners found hidden area behind drywall, and James helped us imagine a finished cubby space in addition to the drywall repair. He installed composite flooring, trim, painted and textured, and even installed a new light fixture and switch in the closet. He also created a composite flooring cover for our crawl space door.

From the beginning James was very conscientious about what we wanted, what we wanted to spend, and importantly that husband and wife were on the same page! He is very personable, patient, and knowledgeable, and we look forward to using his expertise in the future.

James is wonderful to work with, positive, direct, efficient and honest. He fixed a problem that our recently purchased home had had for some time. We are so happy we found someone responsive and communicative. He is value for money too.

After working with a contractor previously for my master bathroom that was a complete nightmare, it was a huge relief finding this company. Their communication was flawless! The Masseys were hired to do the renovations of the three bathrooms in our house. They were up front with the cost of hiring them for the project with Genessa doing the designs and James managing the schedule and works. They were east to work with. Quick to respond to issues and requests. The project came in on time and within budget. We're happy with the resulting work. We would recommend them for any renovation projects around the house.

Massey Home Services did an outstanding job installing our new hardwood floors, doors, and trim molding. Their expertise, professionalism and attention to detail were exceptional! Highly recommended for comprehensive home improvements in the Tacoma area!

We had water damage inside our master shower tiled walls. We had to have the walls, wood framing, floor and underlayment completely removed and replaced.
We entertained two (2) bathroom companies specializing in repairs and upgrades and two (2) general contractors with 5-star ratings.
We talked about the needed repairs inside the wall and explained the project in concise detail to all four companies.
The bathroom companies wanted to provide bids on their specialty bathroom products. Basically, bathroom kits they per-fabricate in their shop and install. Their bids were not concise and ambiguous.
One general contractor never sent a proposal, and one general contractor (Massey) provided a detailed scope of work and their bid. It was obvious to us, Massey Home Services listened, took careful notes, and provided us with a bid for exactly what we wanted.
The three bids were within a few thousand dollars of each other. Although Massey’s bid was the highest, their detail to scope made us feel they would deliver what we wanted. We made a very good decision. The details in their quote showed in their details in quality of work and the finished product.
All of Massey’s subcontractors did a very good job, professional, and polite. Their work is excellent. In summary, if you want to work with professional people and want an excellent job, I strongly recommend Massey. You will not be disappointed. James and Genessa Massey were a pleasure to work with and are very nice people.

When my new house builder decided not to cover a couple issues that were not caused by us, James came to the rescue. He was very professional, knows what he is doing, provided great detail into how the job would be done and what to expect, and from what I can tell his prices were good. I will be using James for many other projects around the house (I am not a handy guy). He was always on time and responsive if I had questions.

We were looking for drywall repair for a wall that had some water damage. Called Massey due to his rave reviews online and now I see why. James was very professional but also pleasant on the phone & in person! He initially gave us a quote from pictures I sent him, which we were willing to pay, but after assessing the job in person then completing he graciously went down on the cost. Great experience remodeling our outdated master bathroom! The communication was outstanding. James and Genessa were very responsive and it never took long to hear back from them. The project was high quality from start to finish and the small problems that came up during were all handled quickly and professionally. I would definitely recommend and use them again for other projects.
