Chad came out on Memorial Day weekend. Removed an apple tree that was out of control. Chad was professional, courteous, and complete. And did all the cleanup and removal. Would definitely recommend.

With timbered acreage we’ve used several services over a long period and none have given the kind of attention and value received from Pilchuck. We’ve had them return over a half dozen times and never been disappointed! We await another visit already seeing the possibilities from what they’re done thus far.

Some of our work was close and challenging. They pulled it off without a hitch or damage. They can drop rounds for firewood or poles if need be. If you are familiar with toppers you know many will not send down long poles. That’s due to a lack of skills, ability and equipment to lower the heavy items.

They come with a skilled crew and lots of equipment including a boom truck and chipper. They clean up at days end and always give 100%!

We had a huge cedar that needed to be removed. It was in an area that prevented felling the tree and chopping it up on the ground. The crew was able to rig ropes to guide the branches to the ground in a controlled manner. They then cut the trunk piece by piece and let them fall in the same spot. Very professional and efficient crew. They left our yard cleaner than what it was when they arrived. The price was very reasonable.

I couldn’t be happier with the results after Chad and his crew trimmed and shaped my huge cedar tree. Chad is reliable, friendly and cares to listen to customer’s needs. Top notch job! Totally recommend this company!

My experience with Pilchuck Tree Service:
We had a number of problem trees on our property. A couple of tall, leaning alders which, if they had come down on their own, would have destroyed our cabin. A few leaners completely covered in ivy that were ready to fall and numerous others. All were in an area that couldn’t be accessed by heavy equipment. I made a few calls, got a few bids. I decided on Pilchuck Tree Service because Chad seemed to be the most confident and experienced guy that came out to look.
The offer he made me was that he would come out with his crew for two days at a set price. They would start with the two trees leaning over the cabin and then get as much done as they could in the remaining time. To be honest, I was very apprehensive about this arrangement. Having never done business with Chad before, I didn’t know if I was paying for just two trees, five trees or more. But I needed the work done so I agreed to it.
I’m old. I’ve delt with many contractors over the years. I’ve been disappointed, lied to and ripped off many times.
Chad and his crew (Greg and Josh) restored my faith in humans. These guys were amazing. The cliché “Above and Beyond” doesn’t begin to cover it. They showed up on time and got right to work, They were all very friendly, hardworking, and wasted no time. The two main problem trees were on the ground and bucked into firewood in less than tree hours with no damage to the cabin. They were able to rig ropes and pulleys through the woods, past the cabin and across a stream to cut down three ivy covered trees and drag them exactly where I wanted them.
That was all on the first day. The next day was just as good. They took out another five trees, including a tall dead standing one and a huge dangerous cottonwood. They laid that monster precisely where it needed to be.
My only job was to stay out of the way. Hate to brag, but I did pretty good. I give myself 4 stars.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Chad and his crew for the most difficult tree removal.
Professional, confident, experienced. Safety conscious and friendly.
I give them 5 stars for each day for a total of 10.

Great experience! Chad was very prompt with coming to take a look at the job. They gave me 2 different estimates (in case we wanted to save money doing some of the work ourselves) but it was well worth the money having him and his crew do it all! They were friendly, professional, fast, and cleaned up after. Would highly recommended them!

I cannot say enough good things about this company and the folks who work there. Very professional and did an outstanding job cleaning up. I think my yard was cleaner after they left than before they arrived. They removed the tree we wanted removed and trimmed up a HUGH cherry tree for us. It looks great.
