I was lucky enough to come across Shalom Plumbing when I searched online for an emergency plumber in the Kent area after working hours. A water pipe under the kitchen sink burst and continued to leak after the main valve was shut off. Thang was there within 20 mins, assessed the situation, and fixed the issue all while being professional, courteous, and honest. He did not gouge me even though he could have in that situation. After a pipe failure, Thang of Shalom Plumbing is completing the repiping and replumbing of my mid-1950’s two-story house that used zinc-steel and cast iron pipes. He used the preferred Type A Pex and appropriate plastic drain pipe (e.g. Ipex schedule 40). No more low pressure, rust, or leaks! The work is almost finished, awaiting sheet rockers and painters so he can replace fixtures in one bathroom and laundry room. He provided a detailed quote for a fixed price, and a signed contract. His pricing is competitive and very fair. Above all, he is honest, open to suggestions and explains options, and takes pride in his work. He and his crew worked hard, dealing with areas that were difficult to access or required creative solutions. They incorporated extras such as larger diameter pipes, a line filter, as well as additional shut-off valves so I could use facilities while Shalom was still working. They cleaned up and disposed the old fixtures and materials. I am extremely pleased with the new fixtures Thang suggested and the overall results.
