When Bluestone started my project we wanted to increase the curb appeal of my house. Yesterday I was in the backyard and when I walked to the front a woman walking her dog was standing and staring at my yard. I said hello and she responded with "I was just admiring your yard." Mission accomplished.

Quality work, with a real solutions to best fit your home and lifestyle. They want to make sure it is done right the very first time, to really last. The lead designer Rebecca has so much experience that she brings to every job. I recommend them all the time.

We just had a project finished by Bluestone. After having our landscaping put in a few years ago, we had a never ending stream of problems- trees dying, poorly done plantings, poor grading, unresponsive contractor. We basically gave up on our yard and didn't maintain it well. We reached out to Bluestone after seeing the great job they did on some neighborhood homes. They were so professional and just really took pride in their work. They salvaged plants where they could, created a low maintenance plan, and in the end we got an amazing yard. We couldn't be happier with the end result. We are definitely not embarrassed by our yard anymore and can't wait to see it grow.

I used Bluestone Landscape for a complete overhaul of my landscaping. Rebecca designed my front and back yard, and I also had them install decorative lighting and a patio wall. Everything turned out amazing and I am so happy with the outcome. Rebecca was always available to answer questions and very knowledgeable. I recommend them highly.

Rebecca and Bluestone are working with us (Mikkalson’s) on another major landscape project. Rebecca and Bluestone have designed and are in the final stages of completing our project (final plantings). AWESOME!!! We are replacing everything across the front of our older (1927) home in Wauwatosa. Replacing all bushes, trees, front cement porch & cement steps removed. Bluestone is replacing with beautiful Halquist stone steps, front porch and two inlaid brick landings. In addition a new stone walkway to our “Bluestone” designed and installed stone patio from years ago.
We are working with Rebecca & Bluestone again because of the quality of work, design quality / ideas, creativity AND the awesome work ethic and quality of all of the workers.
A previous review pertained to a rock water feature and a beautiful stone patio & plantings (over 70+ perennials) which we worked with Rebecca Voelker to design and complete.

Wow what a great experience! Bluestone and its staff are truly a first rate Company. They worked so hard for us. We were so impressed. They were here when they said they would be and then went above and beyond our expectations. They were a pleasure to have at our home. They were such hard working people with great attention to detail! There was never a complaint just a smile on their face and they got down to business and knocked out the job at hand.
This company really cares about what they do and it shows in the quality of their work and they have great staff. Our property looks so nice. We would highly recommend Bluestone to anyone!

Last year we had a pool built, this was a dream of ours. It wrapped up the first week of October. During the construction of the pool we met with several landscape companies. We wanted to beautifully landscape around our pool and stay within our budget. A couple typed up a ballpark quote for the project, very vague. One larger company, quite unprofessional, scoffed at us because we already had the hardscapes built by our pool builder. They weren’t interested unless they hit a higher price point. I would never have hired someone who wants to set the budget for me.

Enter Bluestone Landscaping! I saw a recommendation for Bluestone on Facebook. I contacted Rebecca and from that moment she delivered EXCELLENT communication. Always professional and kind. She drew out a beautiful plan, met with us another time to make any changes necessary, and made sure we got the desired look we had hoped for with our poolscape. She addressed all our concerns with low maintenance plants, ones that added privacy, she drew in a cedar privacy fence near the pool arbor that would block wind and the pool equipment pad. I really wanted this to have a “barn door style” which she incorporated. Rebecca came back to show us a VERY detailed layout and went over each planting she chose and why. She nailed it!
Their quote was comparable to the other quotes we got. Our decision was based off meeting Simon (owner) who absolutely knows his stuff, and the way Rebecca really listened to our needs and kept in constant communication.
Bluestone’s crew are very hardworking and they take pride in their work. Everything turned out perfectly. The work was done in Fall and Rebecca has already been in contact with us to come out once plantings have a chance to bloom, to verify everything made it through winter. We would absolutely use them again for future projects. If I could give them more stars I would.

I’m going to write a few phrases you rarely hear about landscaping companies. On time. Responsive. Meticulous. Communicative. Flawless. Reliable. A true pleasure to work with. All of these - and more - describe Bluestone Landscape Company. We had seen their work at a friend’s house and were amazed by the quality and beauty of the design. At that point, we’d been waiting for four years (yes, you read that correctly) for our landscaper to return and finish the perimeter of our new-construction home. I called Rebecca and Simon at Bluestone and asked if they would be interested in providing an estimate and plan and they were out that same week. They kept every single appointment. They were creative in the solutions they provided for some imperfect grading that had been done by the prior company. They laid tarps down to protect the driveway and lawn from the stone mulch. They swept up and put everything away every single night before they left. They were good sports when our too-inquisitive nephew was over and wanted to “help.” And the design and final product they provided are beautiful - and FINISHED! The entire process, from first meeting to the last day of installation, took less than a month, without a single hiccup. We were so, so thrilled with every aspect of this experience and can’t wait until spring to have Bluestone back for additional work. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

My experience with Bluestone Landscape on a retaining wall project was first class start to finish.
The walls were designed with a weathered edge outcropping stone that is an art to get correctly sized and placed 1/2 ton outcropping. The team that did the stone work were true professionals. The upfront design concept was carried out exactly as designed. The design concept done by Rebecca, was exactly what we wanted. The clean up and repair of the lawn was also very professional. We are incredibly happy with the results. A big thanks to the Bluestone Landscape team! I am the envy of the neighborhood, everyone who sees it loves it.
I highly recommend this business. I will look for additional projects to use these talented folks on.

Rebecca, Simon, and the Bluestone team are incredibly hard workers who demonstrate the highest level of professionalism, design creativity, and results that the client will love. We are in new construction and we went from mud to amazing. Lighting, beautiful retaining walls and plantings— we couldn’t be more pleased. As we had our work done in Fall, we’re looking forward to this Spring to see their efforts bloom and blossom. We love Bluestone!! They don’t disappoint, they impress!

Like all the previous reviewers, we had an incredibly awesome experience working with Rebecca, Simon, and the Bluestone crew. Our project included a patio and outdoor fireplace and lake frontage shoreline restoration. From design to completion, you will not find a more dedicated, hard working team of professionals who genuinely care about your project. Rebecca's design was spot on perfect for our vision of the property. Simon and the crew skillfully executed the plan with attention to every detail. They excelled at communicating with us regularly and the workmanship was beyond exceptional. Our patio, fireplace, and shoreline are absolutely gorgeous! We enjoyed working with Bluestone and highly recommend them!

I’m happy to recommend Bluestone Landscape in case you need some outdoor work done! Turned out beautiful! They did a fantastic job with our project, and were very reasonable with the cost. I loved working with them on the design through install. I was most impressed with how they cared for our yard as they worked. They were careful to not cause unnecessary damage and cleaned up the work space every day - every day they were raking dirt out of the grass. I really appreciated that!

Miguel and his crew came through for me. Earlier in the summer of 2025, I had a very unprofessional landscaper do my patio and tapered pavers toward the house, so that I flooded. I asked for help from professionals, and Miguel reached out. This fall, 2025, Miguel and his crew came out and fixed my patio. They are ok out the pavers, professionally tapered my yard away from my home, and out in stamped concrete. The whole crew were polite, professional, and dedicated to doing quality work. I truly appreciate them all for coming to save my day, and my backyard!!! Thank you all.

This review is long overdue. We had Bluestone put in a patio for us last April and regrade/landscape our backyard the year before. Rebecca, Simon and the rest of the crew did an amazing job! They are some of the hardest working and most pleasant individuals in the business. Their work is of the highest quality and they don’t stop until you are satisfied. I would wholeheartedly recommend them if you are considering any landscaping projects!
