Fast, friendly and courteous service company. Arrived when they said, and only fixed what need fixing. Service man was pleasant and explained my issue and had the parts in his truck. Nice to see an honest, family run business these days.

Ken repaired my 1980’s stove in less than an hour. Everyone was great to work with from making an appointment to the repair. I highly recommend this business.

The Modern Appliance Technician (Ken) new exactly what to replace on our 10 year old Kenmore (Sears) dishwasher. He was knowledgeable, professional, friendly and wasted little time with diagnosis and part replacement. Night and day difference compared to a recent visit by a Sears appliance repair technician, who's initial diagnosis was wrong, quoted us 50% more, blamed his employer (Sears) for not giving him much to work with, and on top of that, tried to push us into a $600 appliance insurance contract. (Talk about a Sears shakedown)

I commend Ben for a job well done. He diagnosed the problem I was having with my washing machine, ordered the needed part, returned in a timely manner, & completed the repair. He was polite, respectful, & explained what he had done.

Ken did a great job! Arrived on time, even came back to repair a manufactured defect with our gas stove. I'll be using them again should we ever need appliance service.

Shout out to Ben at Modern Appliance who correctly diagnosed and fixed our Electrolux dryer issue that we had for 2 years... that a previous repair company and even Electrolux could not diagnose of fix. Impressed with Ben's knowledge; he also did the repair quickly. 👍

Always Great Service!

This is the company my home warranty uses. They are always accommodating and will not stop until the problem is solved. They have always worked around our schedule and have a technician at the house ASAP. Would highly recommend! We have had them fix our dishwasher, washing machine and now our oven. Everything is still working.

We are the unfortunate owners of an LG refrigerator. It broke. Modern is one of two companies that will service LG appliances. LG covered the cost to replace the compressor and Modern did the work. Within a few weeks, the refrigerator was making a loud noise. Long story short, LG refused to replace it but Mary at Modern harassed LG enough that they finally agreed. And it's nice a quiet again. Thanks!

Compressor failed on 4 year old LG fridge. Modern Appliance came out within 2 days. Tech diagnosed and replaced failed parts in less than 1 hour. Great service! Recommend.

I saw these negative reviews after booking an appointment with Modern Appliance and was concerned. But my experience with the company was great. I booked an appointment last week. Received a text message reminder last night about the appointment. The repair person was on time, called prior to arrival, and knew exactly what they were doing. They were done within an hour. The fridge seems repaired, but I’ll know more in a few hours or so. So far, so good!

After 2 months of working with another company to have our LG fridge serviced under warranty, Modern Appliance came out and was able to expedite the process. Ken worked quickly during the repair and had the fridge up and running in no time. Thank you!

I have to tell you Modern Appliance has been an absolute blessing to deal with. Extremely professional, very nice and fast service from the fist call to the repairs. Dealing with LG was a nightmare as was dealing with the first service center they sent to us. This other company (not sure if I can mention names but they should never be used as they are definitely no competent and seem to have a very poor reputation. If thats what LG wants and does not seem to care then so be it. LG and their go to appliance repair company are the absolute worst to deal with. I am glad I fought LG hard to demand they send out someone else for our refrigerator. I got further with one call with Modern Appliance then I did weeks of back and forth with LG and the other service company. Modern is the best and we will continue to use them for any issues we have down the road with any appliance we have or purchase in the future. Please give Modern a try - I guarantee you will not be disappointed. They have been very good to us through tis entire process. We will definitely be recommending them to others.

Our LG refrigerator stopped working and Modern Appliance Service came to our home within one day to evaluate the problem. Parts were ordered and the repair was completed within two days. Ben is amazing and explained the process to us. Excited to have our refrigerator back on and working.

Modern Appliance fixed my LG fridge compressor. They had it up and running in about an hour. They were on time, quick, and did quality work. I called other companies that did repairs for LG, but they would now do compressor related repairs. And Modern Appliance does not normally service Port Washington, but they came to Port Washington because they knew I needed my fridge up and running. I had a great experience with them and would use them again.
