These folks were FANTASTIC!! Why would you NOT use folks that ACTUALLY build them during off season. They SHOULD know what they are doing, love the service!

My daughter in law’s , Mother had them clean her chimney and was pleased.

did not show up I had to leave my work in downtown to meet them in hoover they did not show up then the guy called after I came back to downtown said he'll be there in 30 min went back to meet him never showed up called him did not answer called the office did not answer. very upset

Was having a wood fireplace converted into gas. Waited two weeks because the company told me that they had to order the part. On scheduled day, they came in with a rusted old burner in a bucket. Got angry because I refused it.

On time, very professional, and very clean! No mess was left behind, and chimney is good to go! Absolutely will be using them again! Oh and the lady that I talked to that scheduled the appointment was super nice! All in all 5 out of 5

The guys were fantastic! I live in a condo and the dryer vents are wonky, they went above and beyond to make sure it was done correctly! They were pet friendly as well. Highly recommend 👌

COMPLETELY SATISFIED. The owner and his helper were very honest, professional, and timely in their work. They told me the chimney is in excellent condition and they only had to clean it. It was worth every penny I spent for the safety of my home.

I’m not sure what might be going on with this company, but today is the 2nd time in 2 weeks that I’ve come home from work early for a scheduled appointment & they didn’t call or show up. This time we took the extra precaution of my landlord calling again 2 days ago to verify & confirm that they were coming today, and still no one came or even called to say they were going to be late or not show up. Highly disappointed. :(

Highly recomend the Mad Hatter. A breath of fresh air to have a service provider show up on time everytime, be reasonably priced, and provide a great service. I will be using them whenever I can. Technicians were very friendly and from top to bottom was a great experience.

The receptionist was friendly & went out of her way for me. The technicians came early; and they were friendly & knowledgeable. The final price was exactly what was quoted & the service was guaranteed. I will definitely use them again!!

I had a great experience with them performing a chimney sweep and chimney inspection on our new home. Technician was very knowledgeable and helpful in clearing out the old mortar clogging up my damper hinge which hasn't been closed since built in 1969. I will use them again for future chimney sweeps.

Spring of last year my wife smelled smoke in our living room after a rain, and we called Terri (owner? of Mad Hatter) to inspect our well-used wood-burning fireplace insert. Terri told us how to get insurance to cover repair costs for our cracked chimney liner, which he determined had come from a chimney fire. He repaired the chimney and his fix has stood the test of time as we used the fireplace all last winter.

I was impressed to see him go the extra mile to have a custom metal boot made to fit my chimney with precision, to beat the estimate he gave me by re-evaluating his solution half-way through the repair, and, in the process of installing a chimney cap, to inspect and re-seal other (unrelated) pipes coming out of my roof. It is rare to find someone who truly cares about their work and their clients, and working with Mad Hatter was a breath of fresh air (no pun intended).

I cannot say enough good things about Terry and his team who came out to clean my dryer vent duct. They were so very professional, wiped their feet on their rags each time they entered the house. They cleaned up behind themselves for things I am not sure I would have after myself. They use a method to clean which involves an air compressor and blows out the line completely. He also told me that other companies that may just use a brush often have more problems shortly after because it balls up the lint in the line and they (Mad hatter)are called out to fix this problem. I highly recommend Mad Hatter on the front end and I will definitely use them again!

Worst customer service ever!!! I’ve had them scheduled for over a month to come today between 12 and 12:30. I called at 1 when no one had shown up or called and let the receptionist know that I needed to pick up my daughter and would be back in 10 mins. We have an outdoor fireplace and I suggested they could start there. I returned within the 10 mins, and still no one. I called back at 3:20. The receptionist said “due to the rain, they weren’t cleaning today.” It has been raining heavily all day and she’s just now telling me this AFTER I called her!!! I suggested this would have been helpful earlier when I called or even to let me know before then. Funny how earlier they were out on jobs. They’ve done good work for us in the past, but sadly, we’re moving on. Our time is more valuable!
